 姉来訪 / My Sister Visits

1月5日に姉Yが手作りのちらし寿司やその他の料理を持って、やって来ました。

たくさん、どうもありがとうございました。

食卓が一気に華やかになりました。

Yは、年末から我が家に滞在している母を迎えにきました。

明日 (6日) に姉の息子 (私の甥) S が車でやってきて、Yと母を乗せて、母の家まで送る予定になっています。

Yが作るちらし寿司は、Rのお気に入りですです。
それを知っているYが作って、持って来てくれました。
どうもありがとう！

The Chikashizu that Y makes is R's favourite.

 Y knows this and made it and brought it over.

My Sister Visits

On 5th of January, my older sister Y came over with some homemade Chikashizu ushi and other dishes.

According to Wiki Chikashizu ushi, 

"Chirashizushi (ちらし寿司, "scattered sushi", also referred to as barazushi) serves the rice in a bowl and tops it with a variety of raw fish and vegetable garnishes."

Thank you so much for everything.

It instantly brightened up the dining table.

Y came to pick up my mother, who has been staying with us since the end of the year.

Tomorrow (the 6th), my sister's son (my nephew) S is coming over in his car to take Y and my mother to my mother's house.

我が家はクリスマスデコレーションが1月初旬〜半ばまであり、
'お正月'と'クリスマス'がいっしょです。

In our house, the Christmas decorations are up
 from December to mid-January,
so New Year's and Christmas are celebrated together.

アボガドとマグロのサラダは私が作りました。
いちごはRが飾り付けてくれました。
右の四角いお皿に乗っているのは、ウイスキーボンボンで、
Rの英国土産です。

I made the avocado and tuna salad.

R decorated the dish with strawberries.

The square plate on the right is filled with whiskey bonbons, 

souvenirs from the UK that R brought back.
