| 2022年新年の飾り ドアに飾っているので、通行人からは見えません。 お隣と自分達、そして、神様だけ見ることができます。 この飾りの他に、松飾もしています。 2022 New Year Decoration Since it is displayed on the door, it cannot be seen by passers-by. Only we, our neighbours and God can see this. Besides this decoration, we also have pine branch decorations. |

ひめくりカレンダーと干支の虎 ひめくりカレンダーは、日本の景色の美しい写真と 珍しい和名の色の名前がセットになっています。 年末に友人Kちゃんからいただきました。 友人のイラストレイターまえだますみちゃんの虎。 彼女のスケジュール形式のカレンダーの表紙を切り抜いています。 ただの虎ではなく、'虎の威を借る狐'のジョーク版、 '虎の威を借るペンギン'です。 どちらのカレンダーもディスプレイコーナーに飾っています。 Daily Calendar and Zodiac Tiger The daily calendar is a set of beautiful photographs of Japanese scenery alongside unusual Japanese colour names. I was given this by my friend K at the end of the year. Tiger by my illustrator friend Masumi Maeda. I cut out the tiger from the calendar cover. It's not just a tiger, it's a joke version of a Japanese saying : 'a fox that borrows the power of a tiger', 'a penguin that borrows the power of a tiger'. Both calendars are in the display corner. |

日本に本帰国後、初めておせち料理もお雑煮も作らなかった元旦でした。
いろいろなことで疲労困憊の元旦....。
それでも工房では制作しています。

| おせちの代わりに 手早くできる前菜だけを用意しました。 夫Rは、もともとお正月に特別な料理を期待して いないので、何の文句も言いません。 彼はおせちを好きではないし...。 例年、クリスマスツリーや飾りは1月半ばまで出しています。 Instead of Osechi : New Year Meal I have prepared only quick starters. My husband R doesn't complain because he doesn't expect any special food for New Year. And also he doesn't like Osechi... Every year, Christmas trees and decorations are on show until mid-January. |

It was New Year's Day when I didn't cook Osechi dishes or Ozōni for the first time after returning to Japan.
I was exhausted by various things on New Year's Day.
Still, I make my works in my studio.

| お茶の時間 ハーブティとゆべしをいただきました。 Rは紅茶とゆべし。 彼はゆべしを初めて食べ、気に入りました。 このゆべしは姉Yからもらいました。 Tea Time I had herbal tea and Yubeshi. Yubeshi is one of Japanese sweet. R had English tea and Yubeshi. He ate Yubeshi for the first time and liked it. We were given this Yubeshi by my sister Y. |

春夏には頻繁に庭の撮影をしました。
ですが、個展制作をスタートさせた秋からはほとんどしていません。
1月1日の庭を撮影しました。
撮影した数枚の写真から2枚ここに載せます。

Our Garden
I often photograph our garden in the spring and summer.
However, I haven't done much since autumn when I started making my works for my exhibition.
I took photographs in the garden on 1st of January.
Here are two of the few photographs I took.

| 葉牡丹 なぜかわかりませんが、私には葉牡丹 (ハボタン) に お正月のイメージがあります。 葉牡丹の花言葉が "祝福" "物事に動じない" "利益" と初めて知りました。 新年にふさわしいかもしれませんね。 Ornamental Kale I don't know why, but I have an image of the New Year in Ornamental Kale. I found that in the 'flower language', Ornamental Kale means "Blessing", "immovable" and "Profit". It may be suitable for New Year. |
