英国から帰ってきた翌日、"ゴールデン・グリーン" の野菜が届きました。
美味しい野菜も嬉しいけれど、その心配りがより嬉しい！
The day after we came back from Britain, we received "Golden Green" vegetables.
I was happy with delicious vegetables,
but I was even more happy about their consideration.

2) 2019年9月17日 / 17th of September, 2019
お墓参りに茨城県石岡市に、夫Rと行きました。
いつもなら姉Yも一緒ですが、今回は彼女が忙しくて、時間が取れませんでした。
私のご先祖様は、江戸時代に、石岡に住んでいて、造り酒屋を営んでいましたが
現在はお墓だけがあります。
偶然にも、友人の陶芸家、Aricoさんの自宅と陶芸工房が石岡にありました。
彼女が私達を車でピックアップしてくれて、自宅へ連れて行ってくれました。
彼女の窯を見るのもとても楽しみでした。
私達が彼女を訪ねるのは初めてでした。
17th of September, 2019
I went to Ishioka City, Ibaraki Prefecture with my husband R to visit my family grave.
My sister Y is usually with me or us, but this time she was too busy to take time.
My ancestors lived in Ishioka during the Edo period and ran a sake brewery, but now there is only a grave.
Coincidentally, my friend, Arico had her home and ceramic studio in Ishioka.
She picked us up and took us to her home with the studio.
I was also looking forward to seeing her kiln.
This was the first time for us to visit her.

店とバス停と時計
道沿いのスペースはお店になっています。
家のすぐ前は、バス停です。
店には時計があり、バスを利用する子供達が時間確認のために
よく中を覗くそうです。
ほんわかした雰囲気が目に浮かびます。
彼女は麻布十番のイベントに参加する準備をしていました。
ここで、イベントで購入したい彼女の作品を予約しました。
Shop and Bus Stop and Clock
The front of her home was a shop.
Right in front of the house is a bus stop.
There was a clock in her shop, and children who used the bus
often looked inside to check the time.
A warm atmosphere came to my eyes.
She was preparing to attend the Azabujuban event.
I booked her work here that I would like to buy at the event.

オブジェ作品 ("樹") が焼成済みでしたが、それは京都の展示会に出品する前だったので、撮影はしませんでした。
Her objet work had already been fired, but I didn't photograph it because it was before it would be exhibited at the exhibition in Kyoto.
4) 不思議な出会い / Wonder Meeting
実は、Aricoさんの家で、思いもよらない人に会いました。
アメリカ人のMです。
偶然にもMは、日本での留学生時代に鎌倉の我が家の隣の家に住んでいました。
2019年3月に、彼が彼の友人達とその家を見にやってきた時に、偶然にRとバスで合い、Rが誘って、我が家へやってきたのでした。
Mを通して、Aricoさんが私の2019年4月の個展へ来て、私と彼女の交流が始まっていました。
また、彼の友人とも交流が始まっていました。
私とRが３ヶ月海外にいる間に、AricoさんとMはカップルになっていました。
そして、この日、私達は何も知らずに、彼女を訪ね、そこにMがいて、本当にびっくりしました。
Wonder Meeting
Actually, we met an unexpected person in Arico's house.
M, an American.
Coincidentally, M had lived in the house next to our house in Kamakura, when he was an international student in Japan.
In March 2019, when he came to see the house with his friends, he happened to meet R in the bus, and R invited them to come to our house.
Through M, Arico came to my exhibition in Tokyo, April, 2019 and the relationship started between me and her.
Also, we were starting to interact with M's friends.
Arico and M became a couple while I and R were abroad for three months.
And on this day, we visited her without knowing anything, and M was there, and we were really surprised.

工房へ向かう途中で、クワガタとアマガエル(?)に会いました。
On the way to the studio, I met a stag beetle and a Japanese tree frog(?).  |

わ〜！立派な窯！
私の小さな電気窯とは雲泥の差です。 英国の大学で使用していた窯を思い出しました。
Wow! Great Kiln!
What a difference between my small electric kiln and this 'Giant'.
I remembered kilns I used in university in Britain.

Aricoさんがいろいろと説明してくれました。
私はとても興奮しつつ、説明を聞き、窯に見惚れました。
Kindness
Arico explained various things.
I was very excited to hear the explanation and fell in love with the kiln.

人の出会いとは不思議なものです。
出会う人もいれば、別れる人もいる...そういうもんですね。
素敵な出会いは大切にしてゆきたいと思います。
Meeting people is mysterious.
Some people meet, some people break up ... that's right.
I like to cherish wonderful encounters.
