2019年8月6日、私と夫Rは、ユトレヒトの "鉄道博物館 / Railway Museum / Het Spoorwegmuseum" と "ミッフィー博物館 / Miffy Museum" へ行きました。

ミッフィー博物館後、旧運河 (アウデ運河) / Oudegracht 沿いを歩きつつ、中心地へ向かいました。

On 6th of August, 2019, I and my husband,R visited "Railway Museum / Het Spoorwegmuseum" and "Miffy Museum" in Utrecht.
After the Miffy Museum, we walked along the Old Canal (Oude Canal) / Oudegracht to the centre.

| 旧運河 (アウデ運河)
旧運河は市の中心部全体を南から北に流れています。
Oudegracht (Old Canal) Oudegracht cuts through the entire city centre from south to north.

電気自動車が公道で電気補給しているところを初めて見ました。 Replenish with Electricity
For the first time I saw electric cars recharging on a public road.

ノームがいっぱい！
残念ながら、何のお店なのか、会社なのかわかりません。
休暇の風景なので、旅行会社かもしれません？
ユトレヒト入りしてからノームを見たのは2回目。
1回目はビールグラスの柄でビールの醸造所(Brasserie d'Achouffe) のマークでした。
ノームは、妖精の1つとされていますが、私にとっては、
英国も妖精の国、英国ではあまり見なかったように思います。 私が気がつかなかっただけかもしれません...。
高校生の時にノームの画集を買ったので、ノームを見ると懐かしい気持ちになります。
あの本はどこへ行ったのでしょう？
Many Gnomes!
Unfortunately, I don't know what the shop is or the company.
Because Gnomes are elementals that control the earth, perhaps they are estate agents or architects?
It's a holiday scene, so maybe a travel agency?
This is the second time I saw a gnome after entering Utrecht.
The first time was on a beer glass, the symbol of a beer brewery : Brasserie d'Achouffe.
Gnomes are considered to be one of the fairies,
though for me it seems that I did not see much of the Fairy Land in Britain. Maybe I just didn't notice ...
When I was a high school student, I bought a gnome art book...,
so when I see a gnome I feel longing for my young time. Where did that book go? |

| アンティーク屋さん、またはセカンドハンド・ショップ？ 偶然にもこのマグカップと壁画が似ています。 An antique shop or a secondhand shop? Coincidentally, this mug and murals are similar. 
デルフト焼き
デルフト・タイルが売られています。
16世紀から生産されています。
白地ですが磁器ではなく、陶器です。
釉薬によって白色の下地を作り、スズ釉薬を用いて彩色しています。

Delft tiles are on sale.
Delftware has a white background but is not porcelain, it is earthenware,
They make white base with glaze and paint using tin-glaze.

運河の名前と同じ、アウデ通り (アウデグラフト)
ドーム塔が見えてきました。

'缶アート' または'リサイクルアート'とでも呼ぶのでしょうか？
時々缶を使用した作品を日本でも英国でも見ます。
Tin Can Art?
Is it called 'Tin Can Art' or 'Recycled Art'?
Sometimes I see works using cans both in Japan and Britain.
運河沿いの木々のリフレクションが魚達を水の中で泳いでいるように見せます。
Reflection of the trees along the canal makes the fish appear to be swimming in the water.

ゲーム屋さん
お店の名前は "ジョーカー"！お店の名前、好きです。
最近は、'ゲーム' といえばPC系のゲームが真っ先に
思い浮かぶようになったように思います。
でも、このお店は昔ながらのゲームを前面に出しています。 おもちゃは手作りを強調し、乗り物も自転車やボートが主役、 ゲーム店もこんな店が健在、 ユトレヒトは、とっても素敵な街！ 
Game Shop
The name of the shop is "The Joker"! I like the shop's name.
Recently, when it comes to 'game', I think of PC games as the first thing
that comes to my mind.
But this shop has a traditional game on the front.
Toys emphasize handmade.
Here, bicycles and boats are the stars.
A shop like this survives selling games.
Utrecht, a very lovely city!
 次回ユトレヒトを訪ねた時もこのお店が健在でありますように！ May this shop be alive when I visit Utrecht next time!

お隣は何のお店かわかりませんが、この子が気にかかりました。

なるほど観光地！
ドム塔足元周辺にはカフェが密集しています。
お目当のカフェはその中にありましたがあまりに混んでいて その中へ入ってゆく気力がありませんでした。 Indeed, a Tourist Destination! There are many cafes around the foot of Dom Tower.
The cafe I was looking for was right next to it,
but it was so crowded that I didn't have the energy to try getting in.

We walked here and took a break in a cafe.

旧運河を離れてユトレヒト中央駅の方へ向かいました。
We left the old canal and headed for Utrecht Centraal Railway Station.
