2019年7月 マンチェスター / Manchester in July, 2019

2019年7月15日、私は夫Rとマンチュスター / Manchester の彼の実家を訪ね、彼の母Jにも会いました。

J宅に3泊し、ロンドンの家に戻り、23日にはヘレフォード / Hereford に向かいました。
(ヘレフォードについてはのちのブログに載せます)

そしてまた25日に北上し、マンチェスターへ。

Rの家族の都合に合わせたので、短期間にマンチェスターとロンドンを2往復しました。

ですが、JにもRの妹Cにや彼の友人Mも会うことができました。

Cが私たちのために用意してくれていたお酒。

日本をイメージするデザインです。

On 15th of July, 2019, I and my husband R visited his parent's house in Manchester and met his mother J.

We had stayed in her house for three nights, returned to London and headed to Hereford on the 23rd.

(I'll post about Hereford in a later blog)

On the 25th, we head north again to Manchester.

We made two round trips between Manchester and London in a short period of time to suit R's family.

But we were able to meet J as well as R's friend, M and his sister C.

Jの庭
Jとともにこの庭を回るツアーが定番です。
Jが庭の世話ができず、現在はガーディナーにほぼ頼っています。
それでも、Jはそれぞれの植物を愛おしそうに見つつ、説明してくれます。

J's Garden 
A tour around this garden with J is regular.
J can't take care of the garden and now mostly relies on a gardener.
Nevertheless, J explains each plant, looking lovingly.
