ハッスィ１世:エドワード•フッセイ (1749 - 1816) が

このガーデンの土台を作りました。

18世紀初期から、英国では自然の景観を模したスタイルの
'ランドスケープガーデン'が
ケイパービリティ(1716 - 1783/ ランスロット•ブラウン)
などによって、始められました。

後に、何人かの批評家は、それは整理され過ぎ、
面白みにかけ、絵的ではないと主張しました。

スコットーニーガーデンにおいては、
ロマンティックな絵的なガーデンが

ハッスィ１世によって作られたのです。

因にケイパービリティは英国庭園史上、とても有名ですし、

多くの有名な庭は彼によって作られ、今も維持されています。

Hussey Ⅰ :Edward Hussey (1749 - 1816) made 
the foundation of this garden.

From the early 18th century, 
Capability (1716 - 1783/ Lancelot Brown) and

others started naturalistic style of landscape gardening.

Some later critics advocated that the designs that were too tidy and 
lacked interest, and they were not picturesque.

At Scotney garden, the romantic picturesque 

composition was devised by Hussey Ⅰ.

まずは、ヘンリー•ムーア(1898 - 1886)の彫刻を目指しましたが、その途中で何度も感動し、立ち止まりました。

First of all, we walked towards the 'Henry Moore (1898 - 1886) Sculpture', however, before it, I stopped many times,  impressed by the views.

'カルミアとツツジの花壇'から
つつじの季節には遅かったけれども、
それでもとても美しい景色がここにはあります。

From 'Kalmia and Rhododendron Bed'
It was too late for the rhododendron season,
however, here still has beautiful views.

庭にこんな風景がある.....と何度も思いました。

Garden has views like this......I was impressed many times.
