四国村 (シコクムラ) から、宿泊先の 'JRホテルクレメント高松' に向かいます。
四国村 へは、JR屋島駅から向かいましたが、ホテルへは、琴電 (コトデン：高松琴平電気鉄道 / タカマツコトヒラデンキテツドウ) を利用するので、琴電屋島駅へ向かいました。

From Shikoku Mura to Kotoden-Yashima Station
From Shikoku Mura, we headed to our accommodation, 'JR Hotel Clement Takamatsu'.
We headed to Shikoku Mura from JR Yashima Station, but since
we were taking the Kotoden (Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railroad) to the hotel, we headed to Kotoden-Yashima Station.

| 屋島山 四国村は、屋島山の山麓にあります。 屋島山の南嶺 (ナンレイ; 内陸部) の標高は292m、 北嶺 (ホクレイ; 海側) の標高は282m。 写真の部分は、南嶺です。 山頂からの眺めが良いと聞いていたので、観光スポットの 候補には入れていたのですが、さまざまな理由から計画に 入れられませんでした。 Mount Yashima Shikoku Mura is located at the foot of Mount Yashima. The southern peak of Mt. Yashima (Nanrei; inland area) is 292m above sea level, and the northern ridge (Hokurei; sea side) is 282m above sea level. The part in the photograph is the southern peak. I had heard that the view from the top was amazing, so it was on my list of potential tourist spots, but for various reasons it never made it into my plans. |

| 屋島神社碑 上の写真で屋島神社の鳥居が見えます。 が、すでに夕暮れ時でしたし、電車時間優先にし屋島神社へは、 残念ながらゆきませんでした。 Yashima Shrine Monument You can see the torii gate of Yashima Shrine in the photograph above. However, it was already dusk and we had to prioritize the train timetable, so unfortunately we didn't go to Yashima Shrine. |

| 屋島観光地図 2005年に廃止された屋島ケーブルが描かれているので、 かなり前に作成された地図だと思います。 1961年に屋島ドライブウェイ(屋島スカイウウエイ)が開通する 前は、屋島ケーブル唯一の動力登山手段だったそうです。 徒歩で1時間を要する距離をケーブルは5分で結んだので、 当初はよく使用されたようです。 Yashima Tourist Map The map depicts the Yashima Cable, which was dismantled in 2005, so we think it was made quite some time ago. Before the Yashima Driveway : Yashima Sky way was opened in 1961, the Yashima Cable was apparently the only motorized means of climbing the mountain. The cable covered a distance that would take an hour on foot in just five minutes, so it seems to have been widely used at first. |

| かわいい琴電屋島駅 竣工：1911(現在地より360m西側) 1929年、現在の場所に移築。 琴電屋島駅は無人駅です。 絵本の中に出てきそうな駅舎です。 今どきのクールな感じの駅舎に建て替えられることが ないようにと願っています。 Cute Kotoden-Yashima Station : ★ Completed in 1911 (360m west of current location) Moved to current location in 1929. Kotoden-Yashima Station is an unmanned station. The station building looks like something out of a picture book. I hope it won't be replaced with a modern, cool looking station building. |
【追記】2025年5月29日
2009年に近代化産業遺産に認定されたので、修復はされても、全く新しいデザインの駅舎にはならないと信じています。

Since it was designated as a Heritage of Industrial Modernization in 2009, I believe that even if it is restored, it will not be a completely new station building design.
According to Agency for Cultural Affairs about "The Day for Registered Cultural Properties," "The Day for Heritage of Modernization," and the Simultaneous Opening to the Public Project,

The Heritage of Modernization represents buildings in the fields of industrialization, transportation, and civil engineering, that were constructed between the end of Edo period and the Second World War, and that contributed to the modernization of Japan.
These buildings are the ones people see casually, such as public facilities, the stations and bridges they use every day, and local factories that provided the foundation for the development of local industry.

B. 瓦町駅から高松築港駅
From Kawaramachi Station to
Takamatsu-chikko Station
私達は、志度線から琴平線に乗り換えたのですが、乗り換えが複雑で、東京の地下鉄を思い出しました。
The transfer station, Kawaramachi Station, is a large station in the center of Takamatsu city, and is served by three lines of the Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railroad; the Kotohira Line, Nagao Line, and Shido Line.
We changed from the Shido Line to the Kotohira Line, but the transfer was complicated and reminded me of the Tokyo underground.

| 2月6日- 2月8日滞在 このホテルに9日に一度チェックアウトし、 10日に再び1泊しました。 10日は同じ価格帯の部屋が取れず、少し高めの部屋に 宿泊しました。 Stayed 6th of February - 8th of February We checked out of this hotel on the 9th and stayed again for one night on the 10th. We couldn't get a room in the same price range on the 10th, so we stayed in a slightly more expensive room. |

| 宅配便 2月4日に宅配便で、荷物(左の箱)をホテルへ送りました。 部屋に入ると、箱は部屋へ届いていました。 フロントでそのことを告げられていましたが、 実際に届いているとホッとします。 個人旅行では、当たり前のことですが、 団体旅行の場合、フロントから台車で自分で運ぶこともあります。 Parcel Delivery I sent our things (the box on the left) to the hotel by parcel delivery on 4th of February. When we entered our room, the box was there. I was told about this at the front desk, but it was a relief to actually see it had arrived. This is common when travelling individually, but when travelling in a group, we may have to move our luggage ourselves on a trolley from the front desk. |

| 高松港 2月9日に高松港からフェリーで、 直島 (ナオシマ) の宮浦港 (ミヤノウラコウ) へ向かいました。 Takamatsu Port On 9th of February, we took a ferry from Takamatsu Port to Miyanoura Port in Naoshima Island. |

| 水城通り 水城通り(ミズキドオリ)は、国道30号の愛称です。 右手の暗い部分は、日本三大水城の一つ、 高松城 (別名：玉藻城 / タマモジョウ) 址です。 Mizuki Street Mizuki Street is the nickname for National Route 30. The dark area on the right is the site of Takamatsu Castle (also known as Tamamo Castle), one of Japan's three great water castles. |
他の三大水城 : 今治城 (イマバリジョウ/ 愛媛県今治市) と
中津城 (ナカツジョウ / 大分県中津市)。
The other two of the three great water castles are Imabari Castle (Imabari, Ehime Prefecture) and Nakatsu Castle (Nakatsu, Ōita Prefecture.).
