⑥ 2023年2月6日アートの旅 - 四国村 (丸亀藩御用蔵) / Art Trip - Shikoku Mura (Warehouse), 6th of February, 2023

③についてです。

and my husband R and I had
a "10th wedding anniversary art trip".

1) 案内マップ / Guide Maps

四国村は、約 51,000 m²の敷地に33棟の建物を移築復元した野外博物館です。

私達は、2月6日に鎌倉から香川県高松市に入りました。

最初の観光地が、四国村でした。

四国村に到着したのは、13:00前で、離れたのが17:00前でした。

見学中にカフェで休憩をしましたし、夕飯はうどん屋・'わら屋'でとりました。

'わら屋' は、1975年に徳島県祖谷地方(トクシマケンイタチホウ)、

現在の三好市 (ミヨシシ) の古民家を移築した建物で、店を開きました。

四国村のはじまりは、'わら屋 ' だったのです。

Guide Maps

Shikoku Mura is an open-air museum where 33 buildings have been relocated and restored on a site of approximately 51,000 m².

We entered Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture from Kamakura on 6th of February.

The first tourist spot was Shikoku Mura.

We arrived at Shikoku Mura just before 1pm and left just before 5pm.

We took a break at a cafe during our tour and had dinner at the udon restaurant, 'Waraya'.

Waraya opened in 1975 in an old house that was relocated from the Iya region of Tokushima Prefecture, now Miyoshi City.

Shikoku Mura began with this 'Waraya'.

丸亀藩御用蔵 : ★
大きくて綺麗な建物が木々の間に見えました。
丸亀藩御用蔵 (マルガメハンゴヨウタツクラ) で、
屋内は四国村の資料の展示、映像などがあります。

Marugame Domain Office Rice Warehouse
A large, beautiful building could be seen among the trees.
This was the Marugame Domain's Official Storehouse,
and inside there were exhibits of materials from Shikoku Mura,
as well as videos.

"丸亀藩（まるがめはん）は、讃岐国（香川県）の西部を領し、丸亀城（丸亀市）を本城とした藩。

藩主は生駒家、山崎家、京極家と続き、それぞれ藩主独特の城下町を形成し廃藩置県を迎えた。"

According to Wiki about Marugame Domain,

"Marugame Domain was a feudal domain under the Tokugawa shogunate of Edo period Japan, in what is now Kagawa Prefecture on the island of Shikoku.

It was centered around Marugame Castle, and was ruled throughout much of its history by a cadet branch of the tozama daimyō Kyōgoku clan.

Marugame Domain was dissolved in the abolition of the han system in 1871 and is now part of Kagawa Prefecture."

③丸亀藩御用蔵
建物の前の道は、'流れ坂' で、マップ⑦ : '石畳広場'
まで続いています。

Before 1796 (late Edo period)
The path in front of the building is on 'Nagare-zaka Hill' that
leads to Map ⑦ : 'Stone Pavement Square'.

According to Sikoku Mura Website about ③ Warehouse,

"In the Edo period (1603-1867), guardhouses were put at important locations throughout Japan to inspect and coordinate the movement of people and goods.

This building, with its yosemune-zukuri (*1) structure, stood at Minoura, a port town on the border between Kagawa and Ehime.

At the time, there was another on the seaward side of Minoura, but it no longer exists.

It is rare to find any extant examples of such guardhouses anywhere in Japan. It served as a home prior to being moved here.

*1: Yosemune-zukuri—A type of hipped roof structure where the surfaces descend from the ridge in four directions. "
