商工奨励館
1899年竣工。左右対称の建物です。
当初は、旧・高松松平藩主の別荘・桧御殿跡に建てられた
'香川県博物館'でした。
1938年、商工奨励館となりました。
2015年改修 ; 耐震補強、バリアフリー化。

Commerce and Industry Promotion Hall
Completed in 1899 / It is a symmetrical building.
Originally, it was the Kagawa Prefectural Museum, 
built on the site of Hinoki Palace, the villa of the former lord of 
Takamatsu Matsudaira domain.
In 1938, it became the Commerce and Industry Promotion Hall.
Renovated in 2015 ; earthquake-proofed and barrier-free.

私達は、カフェ目的でこの建物にやってきたので、本館2階へはゆきませんでした。

We came to this building to visit the cafe, so we didn't go to the second floor of the main building.

商工奨励館は、栗林公園の中心に位置しています。
建物の敷地から北が '北庭'、南が '南庭'と呼び分けされています。
紫雲山は西にあります。
北湖 (ホッコ) も南湖 (ナンコ) も南庭にあります。

The Commerce and Industry Promotion Hall is located 
in the centre of Ritsurin Garden.
From the perspective of the building's grounds, the north is called the 'North Garden' and the south is called the 'South Garden'.
Mount Shiun is to the west.
Both the Hokko Pond : North Lake and the Nanko Pond : South Lake 
are located in the South Garden.

"栗林公園は、江戸時代、栗林荘と呼ばれた藩主の別荘、お殿様がお客様をもてなす”おもてなし庭園”でありました。

と同時に、詩作や茶の湯、芸能の上演が執り行われたり、薬として重宝されたお茶や朝鮮人参などの栽培が試みられたりと、藩主が文化や芸術を生み育て、発信する場でもありました。"

"During the Edo period, Ritsurin Garden was the domain lord's villa, known as 'Ritsurin-so Hall', and was a 'hospitality garden' where the domain lord entertained his guests.

At the same time, it was a place where poetry, tea ceremonies and performing arts performances were held, and attempts were made to cultivate tea and ginseng, which were prized as medicines, and it was also a place where the feudal lord created, cultivated and disseminated culture and the arts."

カフェ / Cafe

気持ちの良い空間であり、白壁と木の柱の組み合わせが美しく、面白いです。

It is a pleasant space, and the combination of the white walls and wooden pillars is beautiful and interesting.

たくさんの柱はきっと耐震性を考慮したのでしょう。
美しく配置されています。
機能性美でしょうか？

Rはお腹が空いていたようで、飲み物だけでなく、
ピザも注文しました。
