'YAMA, Gallery Shouzan'
A. 2つのギャラリー / Two Galleries
招山ギャラリーは、鎌倉山の 'YAMA, Gallery 招山' と鶴岡八幡宮近くの '招山 雪の下' の2つあります。
私は、2015年: '招山ギャラリー・由比ヶ浜'で、
個展："Coonie's Space Quest in Kamakura, 2015"
を開きました (下記)。

また、 'YAMA, Gallery 招山' は我が家から徒歩5分のところにあり、ご近所さん感覚があります。
私が'招山ギャラリー・由比ヶ浜'で個展を開くことになったのも、ご近所さんであったギャラリー・オーナーのWさんとバスで知り合ったからでした。
本日、 'YAMA, Gallery 招山' では、しゅんしゅん展が開催されていました。

Two Galleries
There are two Shozan Galleries: 'YAMA, Gallery Shozan' in Kamakurayama and 'Shozan Under the Snow' near Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.
There are two Shouzan galleries: 'YAMA, Gallery Shouzan' in Kamakurayama and 'Shouzan Yukinoshita' near Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.
Previously, 'Shouzan Yukinoshita' was called 'Shouzan Gallery Yuigahama' and was located near Yuigahama Beach, in a corner of the atelier of a painter Kanuemon Asai (1901 - 1983).
In 2015, I held my exhibition: "Coonie's Space Quest in Kamakura, 2015" in 'Shouzan Gallery Yuigahama', below.

Also, 'YAMA, Gallery Shouzan' is a 5-minute walk from my house, so it feels like a neighbourhood place.
The reason I had my exhibition in 'Shouzan Gallery, Yuigahama' was because I met the gallery owner, W, who is a neighbour, on the bus.
Today, Shun Shun exhibition was being held at 'YAMA, Gallery Shouzan.'
B. しゅんしゅん / Shun Shun
しゅんしゅん (? ~)さんは、は今、広島在住ですが、ここ鎌倉で個展をするのは、鎌倉を舞台にした小説・『ツバキ文具店』と『キラキラ共和国』とガイドブック、『ツバキ文具店の鎌倉案内』のイラストレーションを描いているからだと思います。
しゅんしゅんさんは、建築家からイラストレイターに変わった方です。
ご自分では、'素描家'(ソビョウカ)と名乗られています。

Shun Shun
Shun Shun (? ~) currently lives in Hiroshima, but I think the reason he is holding his exhibition here in Kamakura is because he is illustrating the novels "Tsubaki Stationery Shop : La papeterie Tsubaki" and "Kirakira Kyōwakoku : Kirakira Republic," which are set in Kamakura, and the guidebook "Tsubaki Stationery Shop's Guide to Kamakura."
Shun Shun is an architect turned illustrator.
He calls himself a "sketcher" (sobyou-ka).

B. 会場 / Venue
しゅんしゅんさんの会場での撮影は、基本、許可されていません。
入り口近くの壁の手描き文字とギャラリーからの景色の撮影は許可されています。
Generally, photography is not permitted inside the venue of Shun Shun's works.
Photography is permitted of the hand-drawn lettering on the wall near the entrance and the view from the gallery.

しゅんしゅんさんの描く世界も、彼の人となりも、穏やかです。
ドラマティックな絵画や、心情に強く訴えかけ、刺激になる絵も良いですが、時には彼が描くぷかぷかと水に浮かぶような気持ちにさせてくれる絵も良いです。
しゅんしゅんさんから、『ツバキ文具店』シリーズの3冊目が近いうちに出版されると聞きました。
楽しみです。
Both the world that Shun Shun depicts and his personality are peaceful.
Dramatic paintings and paintings that strongly appeal to the emotions and are stimulating are great, but sometimes his paintings that make you feel like you are floating on water are also nice.
I heard from Shun Shun that the third book in the "Tsubaki Stationery Shop" series will be published soon.
I'm looking forward to it.

I was so happy that I took many photographs of the umbrella in the venue.
しゅんしゅん展 の後に、散策を予定していたので、一時、傘はギャラリーにあづけて、後日受け取りに行く段取りにし、ギャラリーを
離れました。
Since we were planning to take a walk after the Shun Shun exhibition, we left my umbrella at the gallery for the time being and made arrangements to pick it up later, then left the gallery.
Rは、よく散策もサイクリングもしています。
私は散策もサイクリングもあまりせず、家にいることが多いです。
今日は、久しぶりの散策です。
Walk in Kamakurayama
R often goes for walks and cycling.
I don't go for walks or cycling very often and tend to stay at home.
Today, I went for a walk for the first time in a while.

| 鎌倉山から 鎌倉山から七里ヶ浜住宅街に降りてゆく 階段(100段以上)があります。 その階段の上から撮影しました。 私達は、この階段を降りて、七里ヶ浜へ向かいました。 From Kamakurayama There are over 100 steps leading down from Kamakurayama to the Shichirigahama residential area. I took this photograph from the top of those steps. We went down these steps and headed for Shichirigahama beach. |
