 庭の百合 |
朝、前日の強風で百合が倒れてしまっていることに 気がつきました。 見に行くと、地面に百合が花をつけたまま 倒れていました。 気の毒に思いつつ、花の部分を切り、 花瓶にいけました。 もう1つの方は、ポールに結びつけてみました。 Lily from My Garden In the morning, I noticed that the lilies had fallen down due to the strong wind the day before. When I went to see them, the lily plants were lying on the ground with their flowers. Feeling sorry for them, I cut off the flower part and put it in a vase. The other plant was tied to a pole. |

B. 庭のオブジェ / Garden Objet
背丈が2m近くあるユリでした。
花の時期が終わっても、実をつけ、庭のオブジェのようになっていました。
種を散乱し、殻だけになっても、冬の庭で、オブジェとしてあり続け、庭に面白みを与えていました。
その姿は、英国の"Wakehurst Place (ウェクハースト プレイス)"に
あったオブジェを思い起こしました(下の写真)。

ウェクハースト プレイスは、西サセックスのナショナル•トラスト
所有で王立植物園のキューガーデンが経営しています。
この園は、広さが約 2 km2 (490 エーカー) もあり、ウォールド・ガーデンとウォーター・ ガーデン、森林と湿地の保護地域が含まれています。
私が夫Rに説明すると、彼も同意見でした。
Garden Objet
They were lilies with a height of nearly 2m.
Even after the flowering season was over, they still bore seed pods and looked like objets in the garden.
Even though the seeds were scattered and left only shells, they continued to be objets in the winter garden and added interest to the garden.
Their appearance reminded me of the objets in "Wakehurst Place" in Britain, below.

Wakehurst Place is owned by the National Trust of West Sussex and operated by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew Gardens.
The park covers approximately 490 acres (2 ㎢) and includes walled and water gardens, forest and wetland reserves.
When I explained to my husband R, he was of the same opinion.

広大な敷地なので、8項目もあります。
おすすめは、4)Westwood Lake / 7)16世紀の邸宅です。
ウェクハーストはとても素敵な場所でした。

Wakehurst Place is a very lovely place.

| もう1つの百合 こちらも折れてしまっていましたが、 ポールに結びつけてみました。 この写真では元気そうですが、 数日後には、枯れてしまいました。 今年の冬は、百合のオブジェが見られないのは寂しいです。 Another Lily This was also fallen, but I tried to tie it to the pole. It looks fine in this picture, but after a few days it died. I'm sad that I won't be able to see the lily objets this winter. |

| ブルーベリー 昨年ブルーベリーにネットをつけました。 実を鳥とリスから守ります。 毎朝、少しですが収穫するのが楽しみです。 Blueberry We put a net over blueberries last year. The net protects fruits from birds and squirrels. I look forward to harvesting a little bit every morning. |

| タマスダレ タマスダレ(玉簾)は、私が子供の頃実家の庭で咲いていました。 この花もランタナ同様に、他の家の庭、もしくは 道路脇でさえも咲き誇っているのに我が家ではなかなか豪華には 咲いてくれません。 咲いてくれると、愛おしい...これはこれで良いのかもしれません。 タマスダレの花言葉は「純白な愛」「期待」。 Zephyranthes Candida Zephyranthes Candida (White Windflower) used to bloom in my parents' garden when I was a child. Like the lantana, this flower blooms in the gardens of other houses and even on the side of the road, but it doesn't bloom gorgeously in my garden. When it blooms, I feel it is adorable...Maybe this is good. Zephyranthes Candida in the language of flowers is "Pure White Love" and "Expectation".  |

| チェリーセージ このチェリーセージは二階堂に住んんでいる時に 近所の方から分けていただきました。 二階堂の家の庭はとても小さかったけれど、 この花は元気に咲いていましたし、 本来の赤い色の花をつけていました。 ですが、鎌倉山の庭では枯れはしませんが、 花をあまりつけません。 今年は花から赤みがなくなり、白い花になりました。 Cherry Sage This Cherry Sage was given to us by a neighbour when we lived in Nikaido, Kamakura. My Nikaido garden was very small, but this plants was blooming gorgeously and had its true red colour. However, in my Kamakurayama garden, although it does not wither, it does not bloom much. This year, the redness disappeared from the flowers and they became white flowers. |

I bought pink geranium seedlings for R who likes pink. He's in Britain, not here, but this flower is doing well. |

| ピンクの薔薇 Rはバラがとっても好きです。 このピンクの薔薇も彼のお気に入りです。 友人Iさんから数年前にいただきました。 なんとか枯れずに花を咲かせています。 豪華に花をつけることはなくなりましたが、 年に数回花が咲きます。 Pink Rose R loves roses very much. This pink rose is also his favourite. We were given this by our friend I San a few years ago. Somehow the flowers are blooming without withering. It no longer blooms gorgeously, but it does bloom several times a year. |

| キントラノオ ミモザを数年前に苗から育て、鉢から地植えにし、 大きく元気に育ちました。 ところが一度の台風で、塩害にあったようで、 一気に枯れてしまいました。 黄色い花が恋しくて、昨年キントラノオ : ★の苗を 2つ購入しました。 昨年はほとんど花が咲きませんでしたが、 今年、花をつけるようになりました。  Malpighiaceae A few years ago, Mimosa was grown from a seedling, planted in a pot, then the ground, and grew up big and healthy. However, one typhoon seemed to have caused salt damage, and it withered at once. I miss the yellow flowers, so I bought two seedlings of Malpighiaceae last year. Last year they didn't bloom at all, but this year they started to flower.  |
