紫陽花めぐり 七里ガ浜住宅街 Hydrangea Tour Shichirigahama Residential Area |
'紫陽花めぐり'をしつつ、夫Rとともに、七里ガ浜住宅街の西友へ
行きました。
今日は、鎌倉山神社へお参りし、西友へ。
このコースは、自ずと緑のプロムナードを歩くことになります。
'紫陽花めぐり'とテーマを決めた散策ですが、他の花も含みます。
撮影は、i-phoneのカメラ機能を使用しました。

Hydrangea Tour - Shichirigahama Residential Area
While doing a 'Hydrangea Tour', I went to Seiyu supermarket in Shichirigahama residential area with my husband R.
Today, we visited Kamakurayama Shrine, and then Seiyu.
On this course we would automatically walk along 'Green Promenade'.
The theme of this walk is "Hydrangea Tour", but it also includes other flowers.
I used the camera function of the i-phone for photographing.

| 大山木 大きな花にびっくり！ 確か、どこかで見た気がしましたし、名前も調べた気がしました。 でも覚えていない！(涙) 通りがかったご夫人に聞いて、 大山木 (タイサンボク/ 泰山木) とわかりました。 ありがとうございました！ モクレンの1であると覚えていました (ホっ！)。 Magnolia Grandflora : Taisanboku I was surprised by a big flower! Certainly, I felt like I had seen it somewhere, and I also felt I had looked up the name. But I didn't remember! (Tears) I asked a lady who passed by, and found out that it is Taisanboku (Magnolia Grandflora). Thank you very much! I remembered it is one of the Magnolias (relieved!).  Rの手 Rが手をかざして、 「こうしたら、大きさがわかるよ！」 と撮影に協力してくれました。 ありがとう！ 彼はいつも協力的で、その都度、感動します。 R's Hand R held up his hand and said "If I do this, you will know the size!" He cooperated with my photographing. Thank you! He is always supportive and I am impressed each time. |

| 枝が土壌？ 枝から新芽が育っています。 これは楠 (クスノキ) です。 Branch is Soil? Sprouts are growing from the branch. This is a Camphor Tree. |

ランタナ 私達の庭では、育ちあぐねているランタナが 他の場所では健やかに育っています。 いいな〜！ Lantana In our garden, we could not manage to grow our Lantana well although Lantanas grow healthily nearby. We adore~!  |

| 梅 この春、この梅が咲き誇っていることに気がつきました。 今は、立派な実をたくさんつけています。 Ume : Japanese Plum I noticed that this Ume was in full bloom this spring. Now this is bearing a lot of fine fruits.  Rは、梅やブルーベリーが好きです。 実をつける木が好きなのですね。 それはその後、彼の好きなジャムができるからでしょうか？(笑) R likes Ume and blueberries. He likes trees that bear fruits. Is it because they can be made into his favourite jams? (Laugh)  |

| 再び大山木 Again Magnolia Grandflora : Taisanboku  人気の花木 大山木は、アメリカではとても人気の花木らしいです。 何となく、わかる気がします。 日本では、桜の方が人気がありますね。 Popular Flowering Tree Magnolia Grandflora seems to be a very popular flowering tree in the United States. Somehow, I feel like I understand. Cherry trees are more popular in Japan, aren't they? |

| 近頃、あまり姿を見ないスズメがいます。 Rはよくここで見るそうです。 Recently, I haven't seen so many sparrows. Here is a sparrow. R said he often sees them here.  ジャ〜ンプ！ / Boing! |

| よく育っている紫陽花 Vigorous Hydrangea  部分によって表情も違います。 The expressions are different depending on the part.     |

| 野草とともに コバンソウを久しぶりに見ました。 With Wild Grass I saw Rattlesnake Grass for the first time in a long time.  このフワフワの植物は何でしょうか？ 鎌倉山でも見かけたことがあります。 What is this fluffy plant? I have also seen it in Kamakurayama. |

| 休憩中のR お天気がよく、だいぶ歩きました。 私が撮影している間、Rは靴を脱いで、 しばし、休憩。 R During a Break The weather was nice and we walked a lot. While I photographed, R took off his shoes and was relaxing for a short while. |

| コレクション？ ある家のガレージ内に、車とバイクのボードが 貼ってありました。 Collection? There are car and motorcycle boards in the garage of a house.  'ハーレー' であることは、私でもわかります。 This is a 'Harley' which even I recognize. |

| '桜のプロムナード' 'Cherry Tree Promenade : Sakura Promenade' |
'桜のプロムナード' という名前ですが、紫陽花もたくさん植えられています。
The name is 'Sakura Promenade', but many hydrangeas are also planted.

帰宅後に、Rが
「どうして、日本人は、たくさん、紫陽花を植えるのだろうか？」
と私に問いかけました。
私はちょっと考えて、
「それはきっと、梅雨時に、他の草花は元気をなくしていて、でも、紫陽花は元気に咲いてくれるので、私達の気持ちが明るくなるからだと思うわ」
と答えました。
色が変わってゆくところも魅力ですね。
北鎌倉の紫陽花寺・明月院 (メイゲツイン) を思い出しました。
私は、鎌倉に住み始めたときは数回ゆきましたが、ここ何年も訪れていません。
現在は、コロナ禍で、どのように寺を開いているのでしょう？
(2021年6月は、土日は閉門)
鎌倉は桜の季節よりも、紫陽花の季節に観光客が最も訪れると聞いています。
今年はどうなることでしょう？
私達は、近所の紫陽花巡りで満足しました。

After returning home, R asked me
"Why do Japanese people plant so many hydrangeas?"
I think for a moment and answered
"I think it's because Hydrangeas bloom well during the rainy season and when other flowers do not look well, Hydrangeas make us feel brighter."
Their changing colours is also an attractive point, isn't it?
I remembered a Hydrangea Temple, 'Meigetsu-in' in Kita-Kamakura.
I visited 'Meigetsu-in' a few times when we first started living in Kamakura, but I haven't visited in the last few years.
How do they open the temple now in Corona Crisis?
(They will close on Saturdays and Sundays in June 2021)
I hear that tourists visit Kamakura more during the hydrangea season rather than during the cherry blossom season.
What will happen this year?
We were happy with our Hydrangea Tour in the neighbourhood.
