A.浅草から / From Asakusa
鎌倉では、年に一度の'オクトバーフェスト 鎌倉'が開催されていました。

オクトーバーフェストは、ドイツのミュンヘンで開催される世界最大規模のビールのお祭りです。
世界の他の都市でも、ミュンヘンのイベントを元にしたオクトーバーフェストが開催されています。
日本では東京、横浜で行われていて、私は2016年の横浜のオクトバーフェストには行ったことはありました(下記)。

2012年から鎌倉でもこのお祭りが始まったようですが、私は今年初めて知りました。
鎌倉のイベントは、東日本大震災 (2011) の被災地を支援しようと企画されました。
イベントの収益は東日本大震災を始め、今年各地で発生した自然災害の被災地のために寄付されます。
10月5日、私と夫Rは、浅草で開催されていた友人の個展; 岡田希代子個展へ行きました (下記)。

After returning from Asakusa to Kamakura, we headed to the car park of Kamakura City Government, the venue for the Oktoberfest.

From Asakusa
In Kamakura, the annual 'Oktoberfest Kamakura' was held.
The Oktoberfest is the world's largest Volksfest (beer festival and travelling funfair) in Munich, Germany.
Other cities around the world also host Oktoberfest celebrations based on Munich events.

In Japan, they are held in Tokyo and Yokohama, and we visited the Oktoberfest in Yokohama, 2016, below.
It seems that this festival started in Kamakura in 2012, but I learned of it for the first time this year.
The event in Kamakura was planned to support the areas affected by the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami (2011).
The proceeds of the event will be donated to the areas affected by the natural disasters that occurred in various parts of the year, including the Tōhoku earthquake.

On 5th of October, I and my husband R visited my friend's exhibition Kiyoko Okada's Exhibition in Asakusa, Tokyo, below.

| 出店 他の場所にもたくさんのお店が出ていました。 主に火を使用するお店はこの場所にはありませんでした。 Food Stands There were many other stalls, including using fire for food. |
全体として、地元民で賑わっている印象でした。
私達も地元民です。
C.ビールと食べ物 / Beer and Food
日本を約3ヶ月離れていたので、彼らと会うのも久しぶりでした。
S&Yの娘さんM&Yも含めて、この家族とは鎌倉に住み始めて以来のお付き合いです。
In Home
We had been away from Japan for about 3 months, so it had been a while since we had met them.
We have relationship with this family, including S & Y's daughters M & Y since we started living in Kamakura.
On this day, we chatted at the front door
"Let's meet again later"
we said.
皆さん、ありがとうございました。

Overall, I had the impression that it was crowded with locals.
We are locals, too.
C.ビールと食べ物 / Beer and Food
たまにRが利用する七里ヶ浜の 'シーガル・カフェ' も出店していました。
'シーガル・カフェ'はメンバー制ですが、メンバーでないRを道で呼び止めて誘ってくれたらしいです。
私は初めてスタッフの方にお会いできました。
スタッフは、私を笑顔で迎えてくださり、嬉しく思いました。
ありがとうございました。
'シーガル・カフェ'は、東北の食材を使用して販売していました。
お世話になっているお礼に、何か買わせていただきたかったのですが、彼らの店の食べ物も、Rの食べられないものばかりで、買うことができませんでした。
すみません。

人気のビールは行列ができていたり、売り切れだったりしていました。
Rは私以上に行列が苦手なので、なかなかビールが飲めません。
そんな中でも私以上にビールにこだわりがある彼は探し続けます。
食べ物のお店も多く出店してたのですが、
Rが食べられな食材が混在している食べ物が殆ど。
ビールも食べ物も手にする事ができず、会場内をウロウロ...。
「喉が乾いて、お腹がすいた~~~」と心の中で叫ぶ私。
Popular beers had queues or were sold out.
R is not as good at queuing as me, so we couldn't drink beer easily.
Even so, he is more particular about beer than I am,

Beer and Food
The 'Seagull Cafe' in Shichirigahama Beach is used by R once in a while was also there.
'Seagull Cafe' is a member system, but it seems that on the street, they stopped and invited R, who was not a member.
I was happy to meet the staff for the first time and they welcome me with smiles.
Thank you very much.

I wanted to buy something to thank you for their help for R, but I couldn't buy the food in their shop because R could not eat, sorry.

| 私とRの二人分 ようやく、味見に3種類を買って、気に入ったビールをまた注文しました。 彼でも食べられるビーフステーキ(下の画像)の出店を見つけて、 ようやく食べる事ができました 会場にはステージが設定され、様々な出し物があり、来場者はそれを楽しみつつ 飲み食いしていました。私達も！ Beer For Me and R
Finally we bought 3 kinds of beer for tasting and ordered the beer we liked again.
I found a beef steak, below, that he could eat, and finally we were able to eat.
A stage was set in the venue, and there were various performances,
and visitors enjoyed them with their beer and food, us too.
 私達はビーフを注文しましたが、ポークもありました。 美味しく食べましたが、どの肉片に当たるかは、 お客のラッキーさにあります(笑)。 最初に食べて美味しかったので、再び来店し注文しました。 2回目は最初よりも美味しさが落ちた印象です。 Choose one of three sauces for a simple beef steak.
We ordered beef, but there was also pork.
We ate them deliciously,
but which steak customers were given was by luck (Laugh).
We ate the steaks first and they were good,
so I came back to the shop and ordered again.
The second time, the impression was that the taste was less than the first time.

帰宅後、鎌倉の友人カップルS&Yとが突然、訪ねてきてくださって、9月のRのお誕生日プレゼントを届けてくださいました。
ありがとうございました。
日本を約3ヶ月離れていたので、彼らと会うのも久しぶりでした。
S&Yの娘さんM&Yも含めて、この家族とは鎌倉に住み始めて以来のお付き合いです。
この日は玄関先のおしゃべりをして、
「またあとで、ゆっくりあいましょう」
と話しました。

After returning home, our Kamakura friend couple S & Y suddenly visited us.
R received his September birthday present from them.

お誕生日のケーキかわりにNファミリーからいただきました。
私は甘いものが苦手なので、Rの分だけ。
私には他のものをいただきました。
R was given these instead of his birthday cake by N Family.
I'm not good at sweets, so only for R.
They gave me something else.

Rはショッピングが好きなので、ショッピングバックをいただきました。
Nファミリーの大黒柱, Yさんが選んでくれました。
R本人は否定しますが、彼はピンクが好きなので、
友人達は彼にピンク系のものを選びます。
R likes shopping, so he got a shopping bag.
Y san, the bread winner in N family chose this.
R denies it, but he likes pink, so friends chose something pink for him.

 Nファミリーからの誕生日カード Rがディズニーが好きなので、これを選んでくださったのだと思います。 Rはとても喜んでいました。 Birthday card from N family I think they chose this because R likes Disney. R was very happy. |
ちなみに、私達の新婚旅行は東京ディズニーランドでした (下記)。
