英国留学時代からの友人Sに二人目の男の子が誕生しました。
彼女の希望の品をお祝いとして贈りました。
10月1日、本日、内祝いとして、ピンクのシャンパンが届きました。
息子、Sくんの健やかな成長をお祈りいたします。

Champagne Thank you
S, a friend from the time we were studying in Britain had a second boy.
I gave her a present she had requested as a celebration.
As a thank you, pink champagne arrived with her lovely card on 1st of October.
I pray for the healthy growth of her son, S.

偶然にも、同日、ゴールデン・グリーンから10月の野菜が届きました。
その中にシードルが英国お土産のお礼として入っていました。
ありがとうございました。

Coincidentally, on the same day, October vegetables arrived from Golden Green.
Cider was included, as a thank you for British souvenirs we had send them.

3) 梨 / Japanese Pears
10月4日、Rが日本の梨を切ってくれました。ありがとう！
彼はフルーツを切って、飾り付けるのがとても上手です。
当初、彼は日本の梨が苦手でした。
西洋の梨とかなり食感が違うので、違和感があったようです。
ですが、徐々に日本の梨は、'こういうもの'とわかってきて、楽しメルようになりました。
Japanese Pears
On 4th of October, R prepared Japanese pears. Thank you!
He is very good at cutting and decorating fruits.
He had not been so keen on Japanese pears to begin with.
The texture is quite different from that of Western pears, so it seemed that there was something wrong with them.
However, gradually he adapted to Japanese pears, he understands Japanese pears are like this and now he can enjoy.
