I and my husband R made a trip to the Cotswolds in August 2019.

グロスターシャー州のチッピング・カムデン 近くの

ヒドコード・バートリム / Hidcote Bartrimの村にあります。

Hidcote Manor Garden is located in the village of Hidcote Bartrim,
near Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire.

It is a hilly area in central England and 
is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

入り口付近 / Around Entrance

黄色みを帯びた石灰岩 "コッツウォルズストーン"は

"蜂蜜色の石"とよく表現されます。

それに加え、粘板岩 (ネンバンガン/ スレート) の屋根、
石垣、緑という組み合わせは、私にとっては、とても英国の景色であり、
コッツウォルズを感じます。

The yellowish limestone, "Cotswold Stone" 
is often described as "honey coloured stone".

In addition, the combination of slate roofs, stone walls,

and greenery gives me a very British view and a feeling, the 'Cotswolds'.

このあたりを歩いている時から、体がだるくなってきました。
I had been feeling sick  while I was walking around here.

中へ入る気力がありませんでした。

I didn't have the energy to go inside.

睡蓮
睡蓮 (スイレン) と蓮 (ハス)とは違います。
蓮は水面から浮いて咲きますが、睡蓮は水面上に咲きます。

Water Lily
Water lily and Lotus are different.
The Lotus floats above the water surface and blooms,

while the Water Lily blooms above the water surface.

帰り際にマナーハウスの壁に水場を見つけました。
馬に水を飲ませた場所でしょうか？

または飾り？

On my way back, I found a water trough on the wall of the Manor House.

Was it the place where the horse was given water?

Or a decoration?

Plant Centre

入り口のそばに、お店やカフェがあります。
There are a shop and a cafe near the entrance.

後半、体調がよくなかったので、庭を楽しむ余力がなくなっていました。

屋敷にも入らなかったので、屋敷の中も見てみたいです。

ヒドコート・マナー・ガーデンは素敵でしたが、もう少し早い季節の方がお花はもっと見られたのではないかと思いました。

また訪れたいところです。

この日から5泊するバースのケータリングの宿泊所(自炊付き) : "Contemporary Newly Built Cottage" へ向かいました。

In the latter half, I was not feeling well, so I had no energy to enjoy the garden.

We didn't even enter the Manor House, so I'd like to see the House.

The Hidcote Manor Garden was lovely, but I wondered if I could see more flowers earlier in the season.

I want to visit here again.

We headed to 5 nights in self-catering accommodation : "Contemporary Newly Built Cottage" in Bath .
