前回のブログから引き続き、ユトレヒト散策をこのセクションに載せます。

私と夫Rは、ビルト通り/ Biltstraat にある、カフェ "De Ontdekking"を後にし、
カフェ、"ベーグル・アンド・ビーンズ" / "Bagels & Beans"の場所を確かめに行きました。
"Bagels & Beans"は、オランダ全域に展開するチェーン店でユトレヒト中央駅ビル (モール) 内にもありますが、ビルト通りにも"Bagels & Beans"はあります。

I and my husband R left cafe "De Ontdekking" on 'Biltstraat' Street to check the location of a cafe "Bagels & Beans".
"Bagels & Beans" is a chain cafe that operates throughout the Netherlands and has one located in the Utrecht Centre Station building (mall), but there is also "Bagels & Beans" on 'Biltstraat' Street.

運河に向けて開かれた窓に惹かれて撮影しました(下の画像)。
だいぶ後になって、そこは路面にお店を出していた
"Bakkerswinkel Utrecht" であったと知りました。
このお店も評判がかなり良いようです。

I was attracted to the window opening onto the canal and photographed, above.
Much later, I found out that it was "Bakkerswinkel Utrecht",
whose shop opens onto the road.
This also seems to have a very good reputation.

大学かと思いましたが、映画会社 : Dyzlo Filmらしいです。
Opposite the Bakery I thought it was a university, but it seems to be a movie company : Dyzlo Film. |

スタツバイテングラハト運河は、旧市街を外周する運河で、
12世紀に都市の防衛施設として作られました。
Stadsbuitengracht
Stadsbuitengracht is the canal around the old town of the city
and was built in the 12th century as a defence work for the city.  |

"ベーグル・アンド・ビーンズ"
人々がゆったりとした時間を楽しんでいるのが感じられます。 このカフェが好きなことも感じます。
"Bagels & Beans"
I can feel the people enjoying the relaxing time.I also feel they like this cafe. 
場所を確かめたので、ここで引き返しました。
なかなか魅力的なカフェに感じましたが
またここに来ることはありませんでした。
We checked the location and turned back here.
I felt it was a fascinating cafe but never came back here.

ウロボロス; 永遠と生と死の輪
Synesius (c.373 - c.414) が書いた錬金術書に
1478年、テオドロス・ペレカノス/ Theodoros Pelecanos によって
作成された絵のコピー (画像) が追加されました。

According to Wiki about Theodoros Pelecanos,
"Theodoros Pelecanos of Corfu was a 15th-century Greek scribe who is known only as the creator of a copy of a collection of medieval alchemical works.
In 1478, Pelecanos produced a manuscript now known as the 'Parisinus graecus 2327' and held in the Bibliothèque Nationale in France.
As well as works of unknown origin, it contains copies of texts from the 11th century, in the time of Psellus.
These sources are believed to include the 'Marcianus Graecus 299' manuscript of the 6th or 7th centuries, now in the Biblioteca Marciana, Venice.
The manuscript includes a copy of a lost tract by Synesius (c.373 - c.414), the Synosius, that contains a well-known drawing (above) of the Ouroboros, an ancient alchemical symbol which symbolizes eternity & the circle of life and death."

ユトレヒト市立劇場 / Stadsschouwburg Utrecht : ★は、
ウィレム・マリヌス・デュドック/ Willem Marinus Dudok (1884 -1974) の設計で、
1941年に開業しました。
ユトレヒト最大のこの建物は国家遺産に指定されています。
デュドックは都市計画家として、
ヒルフェルスム市庁舎は彼の設計で、彼を有名にしました。
Utrecht City Theatre / Stadsschouwburg Utrecht
Utrecht City Theatre / Stadsschouwburg Utrecht : ★ was designed
by Willem Marinus Dudok (1884--1974) and opened in 1941.
Dudock worked as a city planner (city architect ) in Hilversum,
the municipality of North Holland.
Hilversum Town Hall has made him famous for his design.

3) 中心地へ向かって / Towards the Centre
Rの体調が良いようなので、オルゴール博物館へ行くことにしました。
ということは中心地へ向かうということです。
R seemed to be in good condition, so we decided to go to the Music Speelklok.
That meant going to the centre.

アルバート・テルモテ / Albert Termote (1887 -1978) 作
ヤンスカークホフ広場 (ヤンス広場) / Janskerkhof にあります。
聖ウィリブロルド / Sint Willibrordus : Sint Willibrordkerk (658 -739)は、
ユトレヒト初の司教を務めました。
近くに 聖ウィリブロルドを祀った教会があります。

This is in Janskerkhof Square.
Saint Willibrordus : Sint Willibrordus (658 -739)
became the first Bishop of Utrecht.
Nearby there is a church dedicated to Saint Willibrordus.
最も近くの教会はヤンス教会 / Janskerkですが、
その教会は洗礼者ヨハネ(BC6-2 ~ AD28-36頃)に捧げられています。
The nearest church is the Janskerk,
which is dedicated to John the Baptist (BC6-2 ~ c. AD28~36).

ドム教会が見えましたが、途中で右に折れて、'ミンデブルーデル' 通りに入りました。
I saw the Dom Church, but turned right on the way to 'Minrebroederstraat' Street.

聖ウィリブロルド教会 / Sint Willibrordkerk
ヤンス広場に騎馬に乗った聖ウィリブロルドの彫像があります。
It is a Catholic church dedicated to Saint Willibrord .
There is a statue of St. Willibrord on horseback in Janskerkhof Square.
国家遺産に指定されています。
Design by Alfred Tepe (1840–1920).
It was constructed between 1875 and 1877 in gothic revival style.
And it is a National Heritage Site / Rijksmonument.

'コルテ・ミンレブルーデル' 通り
名前は通りの名前ですが、実は広場です。
カフェが3軒も並んでいます。
'Korte Minrebroederstraat' Street
The name is the street name, but it is a real square.
There are also three cafes.

不思議な建物
不思議な建物だと思い撮影。
上の画像のカフェ3軒の向かいに立っています。
ユトレヒト市庁舎の新設部分で、
エリック・ミラレス / Enric Miralles (1955 - 2000) によって設計されました。
ミラレスは英国のスコットランド国会議事堂も設計していますが、
議事堂が完成する前に亡くなっています。
彼は非常に人気が高い建築家で世界中から依頼がありました。
Mysterious Building
I thought it is a mysterious building and photographed.
Standing opposite the 3 cafes, above.
It is a new part of Utrecht City Hall,
designed by Eric Miralles (1955 - 2000).
Eric Millares also designed the Scottish Parliament in Britain,
but he died before the Parliament was completed.
He was a very popular architect and was commissioned from around the world.

私達は2007年に訪ねています。
内部見学ができ、この討論室 (議会室) も見ました。
天井部分が印象的でした。

I visited here in 2007.
We had an inside tour and saw this discussion room (congress room).
I was impressed by the ceiling.

4) ドム塔の麓 / Foot of Dom Tower

ドム塔
目的はオルゴール博物館でしたが、ドム塔のそばまで来たので、
行ってみることにしました。
Dom Tower
Our purpose was the Music Speelklok,
but we came to the side of the Dom tower, so we decided to go up to it.

| 修理中でも内部観光もでき、塔に登ることもできるので、 多くの人々が見学をしていました。 Many people toured as they could visit the tower during repairs and even climb the tower. |

ツール・ド・フランス ; グラン・デパール / Le Grand Départ
2015年にはツール・ド・フランスのコースでドム塔下を通りました。
ドム塔はユトレヒトのシンボルであることがこういうことからも感じられます。 2015年のスタートはユトレヒトでしたので、この写真は第1日めですね。
この年の優勝は、英国のチーム・イネオス。
Tour de France ; Le Grand Départ The riders passed under the Dom Tower
The 2015 tour started in Utrecht, so this photograph is on the first day.
The champions of that year were Team Ineos of Britain.

ドム塔下をツール・ド・フランスの選手達が通った年の2015年、私達はプラハの聖ヴィート大聖堂の鐘楼に登りました。
ひ弱な私達にしては一大決心でした。
297段を登った甲斐が十分にある景色をみることができましたが、息はかなり上がっていました。
その時のことは下記。
それ以来、どこの観光地の塔に行っても、塔の登りはパスしています。
ドム塔も例外ではありませんでした。
でも、今思うと、ドム教会は訪ねてもよかったかと思いますが、まあ、時間が取れなかったですね。

We climbed the bell tower of St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague in 2015, the year that the Tour de France players went under the Dom Tower.
Climbing that tower was a big decision for us, the weakest.
We were able to see the scenery worth the climb of 297 steps, but our breathes were quite fast.

Since then, no matter where we go to towers at any tourist spot, we pass on climbing the tower.
The Dom Tower was no exception.
But now I think I should have visited the Dom Church, but well we didn't have the time.
