ジオラマの中の江ノ電は、'タンコロ'という愛称です。

本日は、代官山にある美容室・'ラピス / Lapis' に、私と夫Rの二人分予約してありました。

私は、東京へ出る前に、鎌倉図書館へ、本の返却と予約していた本の受け取りたいと思い、家をRよりも早く出ました。

図書館でそれらを済ました後に、ロビーで、大きなアクリスケース (横幅1m60cm、奥行90cm) の中に、 "江ノ電ジオラマ" があるのを見つけました。

私は、この日、初めて見ました。

私は、ジオラマやドールハウスが大好きなので、飛び上がるような思いで、ケースを見ました。

もしもこのことをRが知ったなら、きっと見に行きたいと言うでしょう。

いつから展示してあったのでしょうか？

スタッフの方に、撮影許可を得て、撮影させていただきました。

In The Lobby

Today, my husband R and I had an appointment at 'Lapis', a hair salon in Daikanyama, Tokyo.

Before leaving for Tokyo, I wanted to go to Kamakura Library to return some books and pick up some that I had reserved, so I left home earlier than R.

After finishing those tasks at the library, I found an "Enoshima Electric Railway Diorama : Enoden Diorama" in a large acrylic case (160cm wide, 90cm deep) in the lobby.

That day was the first time I'd seen this.

I love dioramas and dollhouses, so I was excited to look at the case.

If R knew about this, he would definitely want to go see it.

I wonder how long it's been on display?

I got permission from the staff to take photographs, and so I did.

2) 江ノ電ジオラマ / Enoden Diorama

山や海、建物、乗り物そして人の姿もあり、ドラマも感じられます。

本当に素敵なジオラマ！

私は鎌倉の住人なので、景色が身近に感じ、嬉しさが増します。

製作者、釣巻 崇（ツリマキタカシ/ 1950 ~）さん、

どうもありがとうございます！

下記、江ノ電サイトより

"108号車（在籍：昭和6年～昭和55年）107号車と共に昭和55年の引退まで『タンコロ』として活躍しました。

昭和57年に107号車が鎌倉市に引き取られて江ノ電の線路から離れた後も、この108号車は車庫に留まり続けました。

そして開通85周年を迎えた昭和62年に全面的に改装されて、現在も自走可能な状態で極楽寺にある検車区（車庫）に保存されています。

毎年行われている『タンコロまつり』で一般公開されています。"

Enoden Diorama

With mountains, oceans, buildings, vehicles and even people, you can really feel the drama.

A truly wonderful diorama!

As I live in Kamakura, the scenery feels familiar to me, which makes me even happier.

Thank you so much to the creator, Tsurimaki Takashi (1950~)!

According to Enoden website about 'Tankoro', only in Japanese, (translated by me)

"This vehicle, 'No. 108' (in service from 1931 to 1980) and 'No. 107' were active as 'Tankoro' together until their retirement in 1980.

Even after 'No. 107' was taken over by Kamakura City and removed from the Enoshima Electric Railway tracks in 1982, 'No. 108' continued to remain in the depot.

Then, in 1987, the 85th anniversary of the opening of the line, it was completely refurbished and is still preserved in the inspection yard (depot) at Gokurakuji in a self-propelled condition.

It is open to the public at the annual 'Tankoro Festival'."

極楽寺坂切通
Gokurakuji-zaka Pass:  Gokuraku Pass

下記、Wiki: 極楽寺坂切通より

"極楽寺坂切通（ごくらくじざかきりどおし）は鎌倉七口のひとつ。

鎌倉七口の中では最も西南に位置し、神奈川県鎌倉市の極楽寺方面から由比ヶ浜方面に抜ける切通し道である。"

According to Wiki Gokurakuji-zaka Pass:  Gokuraku Pass

"The Gokuraku Pass (極楽寺切通) is a section of the road that from the beach in Yuigahama passes in front of Gokuraku-ji's gate, returns to the sea after Inamuragasaki, then goes on to Shichirigahama, Koshigoe and Katase, ultimately joining the famous Tokaidō road.

 According to tradition, the pass was opened by the founder of Gokuraku-ji, Ninshō (1217–1303).

The pass was chosen by Nitta Yoshisada (1301 -1338) for his 1333 attack on Kamakura and saw therefore ferocious fighting."

私が撮影したときは、'タンコロ' は止まっていましたが、
動かすこともできるようです。

When I took the photographs, 'Tankoro' was stationary,
but it seems it can also run.

【追記】2025年4月25日

後日、Rは図書館へ行ってジオラマを見て、喜んでいました。

' 江ノ電ジオラマ'は、まだ鎌倉図書館に展示されています。

ですが、展示場所は、ロビーから児童図書エリアに移っています。

【Postscript】 25th of April, 2025

Later, R went to the library and was delighted to see the diorama.

The 'Enoden Diorama' is still on display in the Kamakura Library.

However, it has been moved from the lobby to the children's book area
