1) お墓参り / Visit to Family Grave
私達の先祖のお墓は、茨城県石岡市にあります。
いつの代からかわかりませんが、ご先祖様は石岡から東京、群馬と
移り住み、お墓参りの機会を作ることができませんでした。
その後、ご先祖様の江戸時代からの仕事の関係者、Sさんファミリーがお墓の世話をし続けてくださっています。
私の両親の代から少しづつお墓まりをする機会は増えていましたが、お彼岸、お盆、年末などに必ず行くというわけではありません。
最近は私と姉Yで行くことが多く、時として夫Rも一緒に行っていました。
私達がお墓参りをするしないに関わらず、Sさんファミリーはいつの時もお墓参りをしてくださり、お掃除をしてくださり、それは100年以上続いているのです。
本当に、本当にありがとうございます。
コロナ禍のために、私達は、昨年からお墓参りに一度も行くことができませんでした。
それがようやく、私とYで本日行くことができ、Sさんファミリーにもご挨拶ができ、ほっとしました。
Visit to Family Grave
The grave of our ancestors is located in Ishioka City, Ibaraki Prefecture.
I don't know when, but my ancestors moved from Ishioka to Tokyo then Gunma, but hadn't been able to visit the grave.
Since then, S family who had been involved in work since the Edo period, has continued to take care of our family grave.
Since my parents' generation, we have been getting more and more opportunities to visit the grave, but we don't always go at Higan, Obon, or the end of the year.
According to Wiki about Higan,
"Higan (彼岸) is a Buddhist holiday exclusively celebrated by Japanese sects for seven days; three days before and after both the Spring equinox (shunbun) and Autumnal equinox (shūbun)."
According to Wiki about Obon,
"Obon (お盆) or just Bon (盆) is a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the spirits of one's ancestors.
This Buddhist–Confucian custom has evolved into a family reunion holiday during which people return to ancestral family places and visit and clean their ancestors' graves when the spirits of ancestors are supposed to revisit the household altars.
It has been celebrated in Japan for more than 500 years"
Recently, I often go with my sister Y, and sometimes my husband R goes with us.
Regardless of whether we visit the grave or not, S family always visits the grave and cleans it, which has been going on for over 100 years.
Thank you very very much.
Due to Corona crisis, we have not been able to visit the grave last year.
Finally, I was able to go with Y today, and I was relieved to say thank you to S family.
2) 品川駅のホーム
Shinagawa Station Platform
A. 雀 / Sparrow
石岡行きの電車を品川駅のホームで待つ間、雀を見ました。
びっくりしました。
鳩がホームにいるところは、英国でも日本でも見たことがありました。
ですが、駅のホームでしかも地下のホームで雀を見たのは初めてでした。
ここ20年間に雀は80%、半世紀前との比較では90%減少したと聞きました(★)。
この数値は10年以上前 (2008年) のものです。
現在はどうなっているのでしょうか？

生息数が少ない雀が品川駅の地下ホームで 餌を探す姿に胸を痛めます。 ですが、都会で生き延びてゆく姿に小さな雀の逞しさに 感動もしました。 Sparrow It's painful to see a sparrow, which has a small population, searching for food on the underground platform in Shinagawa Station. Sparrow
I saw a sparrow while waiting for the train to Ishioka on the platform of Shinagawa Station.
Surprised!
I've seen pigeons on platforms in both Britain and Japan.
However, it was the first time I saw a sparrow on the platform of the station and on the platform underground.
I heard that sparrows have decreased by 80% in the last 20 years and 90% compared to half a century ago (★ only in Japanese).
This data is more than 10 years old (2008).
What's going on now?

From Caveman to Modern person
偶然、i-phoneで下の写真を撮っているときにQRコードの読み込み方を知りました。
英国でも日本でもQRコードを使用してある数多くの説明場面に遭遇しました。
ですがどのように使用したら良いか分からないまま今まで来てしまいました。
まあね、使用せず困らないのなら、それは私の人生にそれほど大きな影響はないことだったのでしょう。
得られる便利さを得てはいなかったのかもしれませんが...。
原始人の私も少しは現代人に移行した瞬間だったのかもしれません(笑)。
From Caveman to Modern Person
While taking the picture above with my i-phone, by chance I happened to find out how to read a QR code.
I have encountered many explanatory scenes using QR codes in both Britain and Japan.
However, I had come here without knowing how to use them.
Well, if I don't get trouble without using it, it probably didn't have much of an impact on my life.
I may not have had the convenience I could have had....
This may have been the moment when I, a caveman changed a little to a modern person (Laugh).
3) 初めての蕎麦屋 / New Soba Restaurant
石岡でお墓参りを済ませて遅いランチを取りました。
両親と来ていたときから使用していた蕎麦屋さんが新しい和食の店に代わりました。
私達が石岡を訪れるときはいつもそのお店は閉まっています。
そのお店の代わりにあるカフェを使用していましたが、そのカフェもコロナが落ち着くまでお休みすると張り紙が貼られていました。
そのほかのカフェやベーカリーも閉店していました。
飲食店以外の色々なお店も閉店しています。
最悪、石岡駅ビル内のコンビニでお茶を飲むことを考えていました。
が、私達にとっては、初めての蕎麦屋さんを見つけました。
店内に入ると1組のお客さんが出て行くところで、あとは私達だけでした。

New Soba Restaurant
After visiting our family grave in Ishioka, we had a late lunch.
A soba restaurant that I had been using since I came with my parents has been replaced by a new Japanese restaurant.
The Japanese restaurant has been closed every time we visited Ishioka.
We used to use a cafe instead of that restaurant, but their notice on the shutter tells us that 'We have taken a rest until Corona crisis has settled down'.
Other cafes and bakeries have gone.
Various shops other than restaurants have also gone.
At worst, we were thinking of drinking tea at a convenience shop in the Ishioka station building.
However, we found a new soba restaurant for us.
When we entered there, a couple of customers went out, and we were the only ones left.

| 私のランチ : おろしそば 食べ物の中で一番好きなのが日本蕎麦です。 自宅では乾麺を茹でて食べてますが 外食の蕎麦はとっても久しぶり...。 ここの蕎麦は、'田舎蕎麦' というネーミングで手打ちです。 そばの味がしっかりしてました。 美味しかった〜〜！ ごちそうさまでした。 My Lunch: Soba With Grated Daikon My most favourite food is Japanese soba. I boil dried noodles at home and eat them, but it's been a while since I've eaten soba noodles outside. The soba here is handmade with the name, 'Inaka Soba : Countryside Soba'. 苔丸 苔丸さんは雨の日でも良い雰囲気があります。 苔丸さんのセンスは、'ニュー・ワビサビ' という気がします。 Kokemaru Kokemaru has a good atmosphere even on rainy days. I feel that Kokemaru's sense is 'New Wabi Sabi'.  植栽だけでなく色々なものの使い方が上手だな〜と思います。 I think they are good at using various things as well as planting. |
