1) オートミール・ビスケット 

　Oatmeal Biscuits

オートミールというと、日本では朝食のおかゆを意味することが多いですが、最近は料理の材料としてずいぶん普及したように感じます。

オートミールの原材料は、エンバク(燕麦 / オーツ麦)です。

ちなみに英語ではオートミールのおかゆは、ポリッジ : Porridgeです。

私は好きなものを好きなように食べてきましたが、コロナのせいで

健康に関して以前よりも気を使うようになりました。

それは私自身のためというよりも、持病がある夫Rのためという思いがより強いかもしれません。

現在、健康食品としてオートミールを始め、麦類がおすすめされている風潮にあります。

幸いなことにRは、オートミールもそのおかゆ (ポリッジ) も好きです。

今日はオートミールを使用したビスケットを作りました。

初めてオートミールのビスケットを作った前回は、各ビスケットの

大きさが大きく、パンとビスケットの間のような食感でした。

今回は小さめに作り、使用するオートミールの比率を上げてみました。

Oatmeal Biscuits

Oatmeal often means breakfast porridge in Japan, but I feel that it has become quite popular as a cooking ingredient these days.

The raw material for oatmeal is Oats.

I used to eat just what I like, but now I'm more concerned about our health, because of Corona.

It may be more for my husband R who has a chronic illness than for myself.

Currently, the trend is for grains including oatmeal, to be recommended as health food.

Fortunately, R likes both oatmeal and its porridge.

Today I made biscuits using oatmeal.

Last time I made my first oatmeal biscuits, each biscuit was big and had a texture between bread and biscuits.

This time I made them smaller and increased the proportion of oatmeal used.

焼きたて
前回よりもビスケットらしいビスケットになりました。
ミックスナッツ、梅酒漬けレーズン、
ココナッツ・ファインを入れました。
美味しくできたので嬉しい！

Freshly Baked 
They became more like biscuits than last time.
I added mixed nuts, raisins pickled in plum wine : Ume-shu, 
and fine coconut.
I'm glad that they are lovely!

2) 今日の鶯 / Today's Japanese Bush Warbler

ホーホケキョ！
Hohokekyo!

鶯 (ウグイス) の撮影をほぼ毎朝しています。

I photograph Japanese Bush Warbler almost every morning.

ジャンプ！
歌いつつジャンプすることを発見して驚きました。

Jump!
I was surprised to find that he jumped while singing.

聞け！私の歌を！
ここは私の土地〜〜！

Listen! My song!
 Here is my land ~~!

こんな可愛い顔もします。
He also has such a cute face.

3) 庭 / Garden

A. ホワイト ・ランタナ / White Lantana

ホワイト・ランタナが小さいけれどよく咲いています。
White Lantana is small but blooms well.

 B. 幽霊グモ / Ghost Spider

幽霊グモ
ミニトマトの葉の上で見つけたクモ。
こんなクモを初めてみました。
もしくは認識した？
ネットで調べましたら、ユウレイウグモ (幽霊グモ）
と言うそうな...。
なるほどね、と言うネーミングです。
私達の味方のように思いましたので、そのままにしました。
「トマトを虫から守ってくださいね。」

Ghost Spider

 I found a spider on a cherry tomato leaf.

This was the first time I had seen such a spider.

Or I had recognized it?

I looked it up on the internet, it's called 

Yuurei-gumo : Ghost Spider in Japanese.

Apt name, indeed.

I thought it was our friend, so I left it as it was.

"Please protect our tomatoes from insects."

In English, it is called Pholcus Phalangioides.

According to Wiki about this,

"Pholcus phalangioides, commonly known as 

daddy long-legs spider or long-bodied cellar spider, 

is a spider of the family Pholcidae."
