| 裏庭の山椒 山椒 (サンショウ) のペースト: 山椒のジェノバソース風を 作ろうと思い、木の芽をたくさん収穫してきました。 枝にはとげがあるので、ガーデン用の手袋をし、切り取ります。 Sansho from the Back Garden I wanted to make 'Sansho paste : Sansho genoa sauce style, so I have harvested a lot of 'Ki-no-me' : young leaf. The branches have thorns, so I wear garden gloves and cut them off. |
Spring Gift
Sansho is Zanthoxylum piperitum, also known as Japanese pepper,
is a deciduous aromatic spiny shrub or small tree of the citrus and rue family Rutaceae.
The leaves and fruits (peppercorns) are used as an aromatic and flavoring.
Young leaves are called 'Ki-no-me' in Japanese as a food ingredient.

| 小枝から葉を切り落とします。 より若い葉(小さい葉)と大きめの葉を分けます。 小さい方はトッピングにしそのまま食べ、 大きめの葉をソースに使います。 Ki-no-me Cut off the leaves from the twigs. Separate the younger (smaller) and larger leaves. The smaller ones are used as toppings and eaten as they are, and the larger leaves are used for the sauce.  トッピング用 / For Topping |

2) 花を活ける / Flower Arrangement
庭に植えた植物が少し落ちついてきたようで、花をつけ始めました。
花の状態を観察しつつ、いくつかを切り、遊びの感覚で家に飾っています。
昨年も同じようなことをしていました。
昨年からの花もありますが、今年、初めて植えた花も多く、違った試みができると期待しています。

Flower Arrangement
The plants we planted in the garden seemed to have settled down a little and started to bloom.
While observing the condition of the flowers, I cut some of them and decorate them at home with a sense of play.
I was doing the same thing last year.
There are some flowers from last year, but many of them were planted for the first time this year, and I expect to be able to try different things.

| 一番元気！ このピンクの花は、'クーデルスタート' という名前で、 マーガレットの1つです。 我が家の庭にきて、今年で4年めを迎えます。 今まで一番元気、庭で一番元気な子です。 マーガレットはたくさんの種類があることを知りました。 この花を知る前は、私は、 マーガレットといえば、白い花びらに黄色い中心部と だけ思っていました。 The Most Energetic! This pink flower is named 'Madeira Cherry Red' and is one of the Marguerites. This is celebrating its 4th year in our garden. It is the most energetic ever and the most energetic plant in the garden. I found that there are many types of Marguerites. Before I knew this flower, I thought of Marguerites as only white petals and a yellow centre. |

| 'クーデルスタート' こんなにたくさん花をつけ、色も濃いです。 色は培養土に影響を受け流ので毎年違うように思います。 今年は、この花が主役のように感じます。 'Madeira Cherry Red' It has so many flowers and is deep in colour. The colour is influenced by the potting soil, so I think it's different every year. This year, I feel that this flower is the protagonist. |

| 小枝 木の芽をとって残った小枝を使用して自作の花瓶に飾りました。 Twigs I used the twigs left over without Ki-no-me to decorate my work.  |

| 春 初期のリトグラフ作品と初期の陶器作品 リトグラフ作品は初々しいカラーに感動して 下書きなしで思いと勢いのままに版へ描きました。 陶器は英国留学初期にロクロ(轆轤)を使用しつつ 非対称の形を作ろうとしました。 サンプル的に作った小さな作品ですが、 今もって手元に置いています。 初期作品なので磁器でなく陶器です。 始まりは春ですね！ Spring Early Lithograph Work and Early Earthenware Vases About the lithograph work, I was impressed by the innocent Zantedeschia, and I drew it on the print plate without a draft with my thoughts and momentum. About the Vases, in the early days of studying in Britain, I tried to make asymmetrical shapes while using the potter's wheel. They are small works I made as samples, but I still have them. Since they are my early works, they are not porcelain but earthenware. The beginning is spring, isn't it!? |

4) 夜桜 / Cherry Blossoms at Night
桜が皆散ってしまう前に、夜桜を見に外へ出ました。
自宅前の道だけでしたが、十分、綺麗な世界がそこにありました。
Before all the cherry blossoms were scattered, we went out to see the cherry blossoms at night.
It was only in the road in front of our house, but there was a beautiful enough world there.

| 何故か、『ゲイルズバーグの春を愛す』 [作：ジャック・フィニイ(1911 - 1995) 短編集 / 初版1963 / 日本語版1980 / ハヤカワ文庫) 訳 : 福島 正実 (フクシマ マサミ / 1929 -1976) 表紙画 : 内田 善美 (ウチダ ヨシミ/ 1958 ~) ] を思い出しました。 表紙の内田 善美さんの絵に惹かれて、大昔に買いました。 物語はよく覚えていないけれど、良い印象があります。 買ったはずですが、どこかへ行ってしまっています。 また読みたくなってしまいました。 読んでいない本の山に追加されることになり、 自分の首を絞めるにもかかわらず、 アマゾンで注文してしまいました！ "I Love Galesburg in the Springtime" Somehow I remembered a book, "I Love Galesburg in the Springtime" [By Jack Finney (1911 - 1995) / Short Story Collection First edition 1963 / Japanese version 1980 Cover Picture by Yoshimi Uchida (1958 ~)]. I was attracted to the picture by Yoshimi Uchida on the cover and I bought it a long time ago. I don't remember the stories well, but I have a good impression. Although I bought it, it has gone somewhere. I became want to read it again. I have ended up adding this to my pile of books I haven't read, and even though I will strangle my neck, I ordered it from Amazon! 3月が終わりに近づき、桜の季節も終わりに近づき、ちょっと悲しい気持ちがしましたが、その悲しさも春の良いところでもあるのではないかと思います。
この日は、春の色々な面がギュッと詰まっていました。
March is nearing the end, and the cherry blossom season is nearing the end, and I felt a little sad, but I think that sadness is also a good thing in spring.
