昨日に引き続き、この日も軽井沢の友人RIさんが車で私と夫Rを案内してくれました。

昨日に引き続き、この日も軽井沢の友人RIさんが車で私と夫Rを案内してくれました。
この軽井沢訪問まで、軽井沢の観光地に'白糸の滝'があることを知りませんでした。
'白糸の滝'と名がつく滝は、全国、16県にあり、長野県にもあり、
それが軽井沢の'白糸の滝'です。

Waterfall-Siraito
Continuing from yesterday, I and my husband R were guided by car of RI friend in Karuizawa.
Until this visit to Karuizawa, I didn't know that there was a 'Shiraito no Taki' : 'Waterfall-Siraito', a tourist spot in Karuizawa.
There are waterfalls named "Shiraito no Taki" in 16 prefectures nationwide, and also one of them in Nagano prefecture, which is that 'Shiraito no Taki' : Waterfall-Shiraito.
Shiraio means White Threads in Japanese.

| 白糸の滝は、軽井沢(長野県)と北軽井沢（群馬県）を 結ぶ白糸ハイランドウェイ沿いにあります。 'Waterfall-Shiraito' is located along the Shiraito Highland Way, which connects Karuizawa (Nagano Prefecture) and Kitakaruizawa (Gunma Prefecture). |

| 白糸の滝に向かう小道の入り口に、 ウッド・カービングの動物があります。 歓迎！という意味でしょうか？ この子達の仲間は、他にもいました。 At the entrance of the path to 'Waterfall-Shiraito', there are wood carving animals. Do they mean 'Welcome!' ? 下記、Wikiより
伏流水' (フクスイリュウ / 地下水) を源流とする潜流瀑 (センリュウバク)であるため、概ね流量は一定で濁らず、晴雨 (セイウ) に左右されることなく常に幾条もの白糸のように清水が流れ落ちることから命名されたと言われる。
この伏流水は浅間山に降った雨が6年かけて流れ出るといわれている。
岩肌から水が染み出ている様子が身近に観察でき、ベールのように流れ落ちる美しいこの滝は、周囲をおおう木立との対比も美しく、軽井沢を代表する観光地の一つとなっている。"
According to Japanese Wiki (Translation by me)
"The waterfall is located at an altitude of 1260 m and has a head of more than 3 m, but its width is 70 m and it is the source of River Yukawa (Kitasaku District, Nagano Prefecture).
Since it is a 'Senryu-baku' (undercurrent waterfall) that originates from underground water, the flow rate is generally constant and not turbid.
It is said that the name comes from the fresh water always flows down like many white threads regardless of the weather.
They say that the rain that fell on Mt. Asama will flow out of this underground water over 6 years.
You can observe the water seeping out from the rock surface, and this beautiful waterfall that flows down like a veil has a beautiful contrast with the surrounding trees, making it one of the representative tourist destinations in Karuizawa. "

| 白糸の滝でたくさん写真を撮ったのですが その殆どがRIさん、R、私の記念写真でした。 3人がいない写真が少なかったので ここに載せる写真も少ないのです。 I took many photographs at 'Waterfall-Shiraito', but most of them were commemorative photos of RI, R, and me. There weren't many photos without three people, so there aren't many photos here. |

| RIさんが野菜の買い物をしたいというので寄りました。 こういうところで野菜が買えるのは地元に住む特権ですね。 Kubo Farm Direct Sales Shop We stopped by because RI wanted to shop for vegetables. It is a privilege to live in the local area to buy vegetables in such a place. |
ヤドリギ 八百屋さんの駐車場から、ヤドリギの玉がたくさん見えました。英語では、Mistletoe (ミストレット) と呼ばれていて、 私にとっては不思議さを伴う響きです。 日本ではあまり気に留められる植物ではないけれども、 西洋ではたくさんの神話・伝承に登場します。 最近の日本では、西洋の風習の 'ヤドリギの下でキスをすると結ばれる' というのは、知られるようになりましたが、 実行はあまりされませんね。 Mistletoe From the car park of the greengrocer, I saw a lot of mistletoe. For me, it has a mysterious sound. Although it is not a very popular plant in Japan, it appears in many myths and folklore in the West. RIさんは、'ルオムの森' のカフェに私達を連れて来たかったようですが、残念ながらお休みでした。
ですが、その環境を見るだけでも、軽井沢の自然を感じられましたし、'ルオムの森'を知ることができたのは嬉しいことでした。
おそらく、RIさんも、この環境や'ルオムの森'を私達に見せたかったのではないかと思います。
なので、彼女は事前にオープンの確認はできたけれど、
'まあ、お休みでもいいかな？それでも見る価値はある'
と思われたように思います。

It is a place for experiments where people meet with nature and new attempts are repeated every day." |
RI wanted to bring us to the cafe in 'Luomu Forest', but unfortunately it was closed.
However, I could feel the nature of Karuizawa just by looking at the environment, and I was happy to know 'Luomu Forest'.
Perhaps RI wanted to show us this environment and the 'Luomu Forest'.
I think that she was able to confirm the opening in advance, but she thought
'Well, it might be alright if they take a day off, it is still worth seeing.'

| 春から紅葉シーズンは賑わっているようです。 基本的に火曜日と水曜日がお休み。 私達が訪ねた時は火曜日で、お休みでした。 It seems that the autumn leaves season is busy from spring. Basically closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It was Tuesday when we visited and it was a holiday. 画像は下記より / This from below ★ |

| 浅間山？ 浅間山から煙が出ていると思ったのですが もしかしたら雲なのかもしれません。 だいたい、浅間山かというのも疑わしいし... とうもろこし畑だったと思われます。 風景は長閑... 追記：浅間山だとわかりました。 RIさん、ご連絡、ありがとうございました。 Mt. Asama? I thought there was smoke coming from Mt. Asama, but it may be a cloud. First and foremost, It's doubtful that it's Mt. Asama ... It seems that it was a corn field. The scenery is idyllic. Postscript : I found out that it is Mt. Asama. Thank you for telling me , RI.  |

| 地蔵川？ / River Jizo? |

富山県・長野県・岐阜県の県鳥になっているそうです。 人気の鳥なんですね。 背景は浅間山、 花は長野原町のムラサキツツジ。 ライチョウだと思いましたが 'ヤマドリ'でした。 そういえば、ここは群馬県で長野県ではありませんでした！ Manhole with Rock Ptarmigan Design The habitat of Japan is said to be the southern limit of Rock Ptarmigan. It is said to be a prefectural bird in Toyama, Nagano, and Gifu prefectures. It's a popular bird. The background is Mt. Asama, The flower is a Purple Azalea, Naganohara Town Flower. I thought they were Rock Ptarmigans, but they are 'Copper Pheasant's. Well, here is Gunma prefecture, not Nagano prefecture! |
B. スウィートグラス・アドベンチャー
Sweetgrass Adventure

建物の奥には、自然を利用した遊具が設置され、 そのデザインに惹かれました。 Playground equipment using nature was installed behind the building, and I was attracted to its design.  |

スウィートグラス・アドベンチャー ここを訪れた時には、スウィートグラス・アドベンチャー (SGA) を知りませんでした。 高い位置に設置されている遊具は、このためのもののようです。 SGAとは、'ハーネスという命綱を装着し、 自らの力で樹上世界を旅する冒険施設です。' Sweetgrass Adventure I didn't know about Sweetgrass Adventure (SGA) when I visited here. The playground equipment installed at a high position seems to be for this purpose. SGA is 'an adventure facility where you can travel the tree world on your own, wearing a lifeline and a harness. '  お休みの日なので、静かです。 こういう施設は、ヨーロッパでは結構見るように思います。 日本は、多少危険を伴うと、弱腰になるので、 あまり営業側から好かれないように思います。 お金目当てだけでは、SGAを行うにはリスクが 大きいのだと思います。 ここは、ある種のポリシーが強くあるので、 実施されているのでしょう。 It's a day off, so it's quiet. I think that such facilities are quite common in Europe. In Japan, if there is some danger, people will be pusillanimously, so I don't think it is liked by the sales side. I think that there is a great risk in doing SGA just for money. This is probably being enforced because some kind of policy is strong. |
4) ハコニワ食堂 / Hakoniwa Dining
RIさんがランチに、'ハコニワ食堂'へ連れて行ってくれました。そこは、少し前に寄った久保農園直売所のすぐ近くでした。
店内で数枚撮影したはずなのですが、写真を紛失しました。
Rの食の問題にも親切に取り組んでいただきました。
ありがとうございました。
お客さんがいっぱいで、その人気が伝わっています。
ウエイトレスさんもシェフも暖かで誠実なお人柄に感じられ、それが料理に反映されているように思いました。

Hakoniwa Dining
RI took us to 'Hakoniwa Dining': 'Hakoniwa Shokudo' for lunch.
It was very close to the Kubo Farm Direct Sales Shop, which we stopped by a while ago.
I should have taken several photos in the Dining, but I lost them.
They kindly treated R's food problem.
Thank you very much!
It was full of customers and its popularity was clear.
I felt both the waitress and the chef are warm and sincere personalities, which I thought was reflected in the food.
