"Vagina Pants (膣パンツ)"
"ジャネール・モネイ / Janelle Monáe のビデオ
「PYNK」2018: ★で悪名高い「膣パンツ」"
と頻繁に形容されていますが、
私は全く知りませんでした。
博物館の展示場に入ってすぐの場所に展示してあり、
「わ〜何、これ〜？」
と驚きつつ撮影しました。
会場で異彩を放っていた作品でした。
作品タイトルも、私には衝撃的でした。
パンツのプリーツは美しく形を作り出していることに感動します。
これは、ファッションデザイナーの
ドゥラン ・ランティンク / Duran Lantinkの作品でした。
最上階 (案内図❼❽)では、
彼の展覧会：Duran Lantink : Old Stock (在庫品)
が開催されていました。
"Vagina Pants"
"The infamous 'vaginal pants'" is often described by
"The video of Janelle Monáe (1985 ~) :『Pynk』2018": ★,
but I didn't know at all.
This work was displayed in the place immediately
after entering the display venue of the Museum.
"Wow, what is this?"
I was surprised while I took the photograph.
It was a unique work in the venue.
I am impressed that the pleats of the pants are beautifully shaped.
The title of the work was also shocking to me.
This by a fashion designer Duran Lantink.
His exhibition: "Duran Lantink: Old Stock"
was being held on the top floor (Map ❼❽). |

A. リートフェルトとの繋がり / Connection with Rietveld
ドゥラン ・ランティンク / Duran Lantink (1987 ~ ) はアムステルダム出身のファッション・デザイナーです。
彼は、アムステルダムのヘリオット・リートフェルト・アカデミー / Gerrit Reitveld Academy : ★で学び、その後、サンドバーグ・インスティチュート/ Sandberg Institute でファッションマターズと呼ばれる修士課程を修了しました。
このプログラムは、ファッション業界が直面する環境、経済、政治の問題を学ぶことを奨励しています。
ヘリオット・リートフェルト・アカデミーの建物は、ヘリット・トーマス・リートフェルト/ Gerrit Thomas Rietveld (1888 - 1964) が設計しましたが、その完成を待たずに彼は亡くなっています。
1968年に、アカデミーはリートフェルトに敬意を表して名前がヘリオット・リートフェルト・アカデミー / Gerrit Rietveld Academy に変更されました。

Connection with Rietveld
Duran Lantink (1987 ~ ) is a fashion designer from Amsterdam.
He studied at the Gerrit Reitveld Academy : ★ and then completed a master's degree at the Sandberg Institute called Fashion Matters.
The program encourages its students to study the environmental, economic and political issues the fashion industry faces.
The building of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy was designed by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld (1888 - 1964), but he died without seeing its completion.
In 1968, the academy was renamed Gerrit Rietveld Academy in honour of Rietveld.
Duran may have unknowingly been influenced by Rietveld's sense.

では、彼の作品が出品されました。
この博物館の最上階での彼の展覧会の名前も 'Old Stock'(在庫品)です。
彼は、博物館が所蔵している日の目を見ない服の中から、いくつかを選択し、再構築し、ジェシカ ・ストックホールダー / Jessica Stockholder (1959 ~) 同様に、新しい命を吹き込みました。
この衣類の再構築は、衣類のリサイクルでもあり、その発想は古くからありました。
新しいものを購入せずに新しい服を作るのです。
大人の服 (自分の服) から子供服を作る場合もありますし、子供が大人になった時には、古い親の服を利用し、自分のセンスをプラスして新しい服を作ります。

彼は、現在のファッション界の"反芸術"(Anti -art) の旗手なのだと思います。

Common points with Jessica Stockholder : Reconstruction
Every year, a large amount of unsold clothing is burned and discarded in landfills, which also causes environmental damage.
Duran Lantink is working on this fashion waste problem.
He purchases existing clothing, clothing from other brands or rescues from dead stock, rebuilds (sewn again) and creates new and unique clothing.
The Dazed website introduced Duran Lantink,
"With a rebellious approach to fashion’s overconsumption, the Dutch designer is challenging how we perceive luxury".
At the London Fashion Week 2019, his work was presented as part of the International Fashion Showcase, dedicated to showing “the best up-and-coming fashion talent from around the world”.
The name of his exhibition on the top floor in this museum is also 'Old Stock '.
He chose and reconstructed some of the day-to-day clothes that the museum had,
Jessica Stockholder (1959 ~) similarly, brought new life.

Reconstructing this clothing is also a recycling of clothing, and the idea has been around for a long time.
Make new clothes without buying new ones.
In some cases, children's clothes are made from adult clothes (your own clothes), and when a child becomes an adult, the old parent's clothes are used to add new taste and make new clothes.
(I'm not sewing at all, so this is another story)
Nowadays, people are recreating accessories and clothes from Kimonos, and I see some people dressed beautifully.
However, in the case of Duran Lantink, I think that his unique sense and thoughts are reflected in his clothes, and that is accepted in the current fashion world.
I think he is the standard‐bearer of Anti-arts, in today's fashion world.

アフリカのケープタウンに住む、シスタアズ / Sistaaz：トランスジェンダーの人々の夢を彼ら(彼女のら)の衣類を用いて展示しています。
'Sistaaz', transgender people who lives in Cape Town, Africa : shows their dreams using their clothes.
最上階を見ていた時には、全ての部屋がランティックの作品だとは
思いませんでした。
博物館が何かのファッションの特集をしていると思っていました。
When I was looking at the top floor, I didn't think every room was made by Lantink.
I thought the Museum held something about fashion.

オブジェとしては面白いと思い、何枚も撮影しましたが、衣服としての美しさは私には感じられませんでした。
ランティックの目指すところは、衣服の美しさではないのですけれど...
I thought they were interesting as objects, so I photographed a lot, however, I couldn't feel their beauty as clothing.
Lantink's goal is not the beauty of clothes, but ...
B. 再構築 / Reconstruction
ファッションは毎シーズン新しいものが出てくるイメージでしたが、ドゥラン・ランティンクの作品からすれば、それらはオールド・ファッションになってしまうと思いました。
セントラル博物館のセクションは、これで終わりです。
