On the last day of I and my husband R's Netherlands trip, our last tourist spot was the Centraal Museum in Utrecht.
In the Jessica Stockholder exhibition, we overturned the conventional exhibition method and exhibited everything in the venue.

ヘンダーソンの部屋では、私はエスニックの神話世界に入り込んだような気持ちになりました。

タマラ・ヘンダーソン/ Tamara Henderson (1982 ~) は、カナダのインスタレーション・アーティストです。
彼女は、カナダノバスコシア州ハリファクスのナスカド大学とフランクフルトのシュテーデルシュール美術大学で学び、ストックホルムの王立芸術大学 / Royal Institute of Art で修士号を取得しています。
セントラル博物館での展示は、2016年から2018年の間に発展させたヘンダーソンの大きなシリーズ "季節の終わり/ Seasons Endの一部で、ロンドンのテイトモダンでも開催されています。
Tamara Henderson
Tamara Henderson (1982 ~) is a Canadian installation artist.
She is working on sculpture, text and 16 mm film.
She studied at NSCAD University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and Städelschule in Frankfurt, and holds a Masters degree from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm.
The exhibition in the Centraal Museum was part of the larger Henderson series "Seasons End", which evolved between 2016 and 2018, and another part is in Tate Modern in London.
私と夫Rのオランダ旅行の最終日、最後の観光スポットが、ユトレヒトのセントラル博物館 / Centraal Museumでした。
ジェシカ ・ストックホールダー 展 ・モノの問題 / Jessica Stockholder, Stuff Matters・Stuff Matters : ★ が、大きく展開されていました。

ジェシカ ・ストックホールダー / Jessica Stockholder (1959 ~) は、アメリカ・シアトル出身の彫刻家およびインスタレーション・アーティストです。
彼女は、時として、'アメリカ系カナダ人アーティスト'と呼ばれ、また、現代のインスタレーションアートのパイオニアとして認められているそうです。

展覧会後に、彼女の制作目的を下記のように少し理解しました。
ジェシカ ・ストックホールダー 展では、従来の展示方法を覆し、会場にある全てを含有した展示をしていました。
彼女は、博物館の所蔵しているアイテムを選び、収集し、組み立て直して、新しい命を吹き込んだ作品を制作しました。
会場全体が彼女の作品でした。
私はその会場を見て回る時、いくつかの疑問を持ちつつも、楽しみました。
アーティストの背景がわからなくとも、思想がはっきり理解できなくとも、何かしら共鳴できること、共感できることがあると、心が嬉しくなります。
ジェシカ ・ストックホールダー展は、私にそんな喜びをプレゼントしてくれました。
私はその会場を見て回る時、いくつかの疑問を持ちつつも、楽しみました。
アーティストの背景がわからなくとも、思想がはっきり理解できなくとも、何かしら共鳴できること、共感できることがあると、心が嬉しくなります。
ジェシカ ・ストックホールダー展は、私にそんな喜びをプレゼントしてくれました。

On the last day of I and my husband R's Netherlands trip, our last tourist spot was the Centraal Museum in Utrecht.
About Jessica Stockholder Exhibition, below.
Jessica Stockholder (1959 ~) is a sculptor and installation artist from Seattle, USA.
She is sometimes referred to as the 'American - Canadian artist' and also recognized as a pioneer of contemporary installation art.
She is sometimes referred to as the 'American - Canadian artist' and also recognized as a pioneer of contemporary installation art.
She is currently a Professor at the Department of Visual Arts (DOVA) at the University of Chicago.
I didn't know any of the above about her when I was at the venue.

It may have been explained somewhere, but I usually don't read these much.
Especially if in English ... (Wry Smile).
After the exhibition, I understood a little about her purpose of production as below.
In the Jessica Stockholder exhibition, we overturned the conventional exhibition method and exhibited everything in the venue.
She chose items from the museum's collection, collected them, reassembled them, and created works that brought new life.
The whole venue was her work.
I had some doubts when I visited the venue, but I enjoyed there.

Even if I don't understand the background of artists, or if I can't clearly understand their thoughts, I am happy to have something that can resonate or sympathize.
The Jessica Stockholder Exhibition has given me such joy.

タマラ・ヘンダーソンの部屋は、この部屋は、ジェシカ ・ストックホールダー 展 の一部ではなかったと私は理解しています。
タマラ・ヘンダーソンもここで知ったアーティストです。
博物館としては、
"ジェシカ・ストックホールダーとタマラ・ヘンダーソンの両者は、日常的な物体と材料が伝える多くの意味に惹きつけられています" (原文は英文参照)
と説明しています。
ヘンダーソンもストックホールダー も物体を収集して、自分の思想によってアレンジし直しているところも同じに感じます。
ヘンダーソンの部屋では、私はエスニックの神話世界に入り込んだような気持ちになりました。

Ethnic Mythological World
Tamara Henderson's room, I understand, was not part of the Jessica Stockholder exhibition.
Tamara Henderson is another artist I first knew of here.
The Museum comments,
"Both Jessica Stockholder and Tamara Henderson are fascinated by the many meanings that everyday objects and materials can convey."
I feel that both Henderson and Stockholder are collecting objects and rearranging them according to their own thoughts.
In Henderson's room, I felt as if I had entered the world of ethnic mythology.

| 人型をしていると私は少し怖い... ライティングの影響もありますね。 I'm a little scared when the work is humanoid ... The lighting also influences me. 
アジアや南米やアフリカなどエスニックなイメージが
する衣装でした。
それと神話のキャラクターのイメージがしました。
結果、私がエスニックの神話世界にいるように思ったです...きっと。
There were costumes with ethnic images of Asia, South America, and Africa.
And I had the images of mythical characters.
As a result, I felt as if I was in an ethnic mythical world.

ロンドンのテイトモダン(Level3 Room9)で、2020年9月6日まで開催されるようですが、いつ開始されたのかはわかりません。
彼女のアイディアとしては映像と布地の作品は結びついているので、私は映像作品を見ることはできず、残念でした。
"彼女は、衣服の側面に縫い付けられた長方形のポケットのパターンを介して、フィルムと彫刻を結びつけ、フィルムストリップを示唆しています。
アーティストにとって、縫製と映画制作は連動しています。
彼女は、フィルムがプロジェクターを通過する方法と、素材がミシンを通過する方法が同じであるとみなしました。"

という発想が面白いな〜〜と思います。

"このタイトルが示唆しているのは、旅、変容の循環です。
あるシーズンが終了すると、別のシーズンが始まります。
根底にある題材は、一過性と成長、死と生の関係、
治癒と処理の喪失(打つ手なし)です。
ヘンダーソンは、催眠療法、夢、錬金術、霊性に基づいたテーマによって、
独自の神話を作成しました。
この衣装は、TuxedoのDisease (病気)、The Doc (医者)、Silverfish (虫の一種？)
などのタイトルで、この神話のキャラクターとしての役割を果たします。
彼女は、人型によって、過去と現在、異教の神と女神、
エルフとかかしを表現しています。
コスチュームのいくつかはギリシャでの滞在中に、
他はグラスゴー、そしてロサンゼルスでの居住中に作られました。
ヘンダーソンは衣装ごとに地元の素材、刺繍技術、儀式を使用しています。"

It seems that it is (would be) held at Tate Modern (Level3 Room9) in London until 6th of September, 2020, but I do not know when it started.
It was a pity that I couldn't see the video work because her idea is that the video and fabric work are linked.
"She makes a connection between the film and the sculptures through the pattern of rectangular pockets sewn down the sides of the garments, suggesting a filmstrip.
For the artist, sewing and filmmaking are linked.
She has considered how material moves through a sewing machine in much the same way as film moves through a projector."
