私と夫Rは、行きも帰りも、ロンドン・ガトウィック空港 / Gatwick Airport とアムステルダム・スキポール空港 /Amsterdam Airport Schiphol  を使用、オランダ旅行しました。

スキポール空港はオランダ最大の国際空港、全ての航空会社、旅行客が必要とする全ての施設が一つのターミナルビルの中にあります。

アムステルダム国立美術館の別館まであり、私はスキポール空港が好きです。

「スキポール」は英語読みで、オランダ語での発音は「スヒップホル」[ˈsxɪp(ɦ)ɔl]だそうです。

アムステルダム・スキポール空港

オランダの航空会社といえば、KLMオランダ航空。

2019年、KLMオランダ航空は1919年に設立されて100周年を迎えました。

KLMは今でも元の名前で運営されている最古の航空会社で、

これを達成した最初の航空会社です。

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

Speaking of Dutch airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

In 2019, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines celebrated its centennial,

 as it was founded in 1919.

Since it is the oldest airline still operating under its original name,

it was the first airline to achieve this.

Going and Returning

I and my husband R had the Netherlands trip and we used London Gatwick Airport and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol for both going and returning.

Schiphol Airport is the largest international airport in the Netherlands, with all airlines and all the facilities travelers need in one terminal building .

There is even an annex of the Rijksmuseum, I like Schiphol Airport.

"Schiphol" is pronounced in Dutch as "Shiphol" shi-pol [ˈsxɪp(ɦ)ɔl].

コレドン航空 / Corendon Airlines は、アンタルヤに本社を置き、
アンタルヤ空港を拠点とするトルコの航空会社です。
日本への便はないようです。
コーポレートカラーはトルコの国旗に由来しているのでしょう。

and based at Antalya Airport.
There seem to be no flights to Japan.
The corporate colours are probably derived from the Turkish flag.

I haven't used it yet, but I knew of this airline.

トランサビア航空のピーターパン機
トランサビア航空は、オランダの格安航空会社。
エールフランス‐KLMグループの一部です。
この飛行機を見ることができて嬉しかったです。

Peter Pan Aeroplane of Transavia
Transaviais a Dutch low-cost airline and part of the Air France–KLM group. 

I'm glad to see this airplane.

“The Peter Pan aeroplane was created by Transavia to support the Peter Pan Holiday Club.

The Peter Pan Holiday Club organises holidays for young people who are unable to go on holiday independently because of an impairment, disability or chronic illness.

It was set up in 1996 by Transavia staff.

The unveiling ceremony was held at Schiphol Airport with the announcement of the first Peter Pan aeroplane on 11th of November, 2017.”

I am impressed with the wonderful idea and the naming.

The world has people who have great ideas and realize them and I feel the world is not without its worth.

スキポール空港に到着したときにも見かけ、何かしら〜？と思いました。

また離陸するときにも見ました。

後になって、空港の消防士の訓練に使用されている機体であるとわかり、

スッキリ！

Solution

When I arrived at Schiphol Airport, I saw this and I wondered what is that?

I also saw it when I took off.

Later, I found out that the aeroplane is used for training firefighters at the airport,

so I was refreshed!

ノルウェー・エアシャトル

ノルウェー・エアシャトル / Norwegian Air Shuttleは、
ノルウェーの格安航空会社で、ノルウェーで最大の航空会社です。
私は利用したことがありません。

行きも帰りもガトウィック空港で見ました。

Norwegian Air Shuttle is a low cost airline in Norway

and Norway's largest airline.

I have never used them..

I saw it at Gatwick Airport on my going and returning.

アンドレ・ビャルケ

尾翼に有名なノルエー人が描かれています。

行きも帰りも見ましたが、顔ぶれは違っていました。

帰りの写真からは名前が読み取れましたが、

行きはわかりませんでした。

I saw both going and returning, but the people were different.

I could read their names from the photographs on the way back, 

but I couldn't read at the time of going.

偶然ですが、ノルウェーの文学系と理数系の有名人を取り上げました。

付け焼き刃のリサーチをする中で、理数系というのは、その価値の世界共有がたやすく、言語を元にする文学系の価値は、とても難しいのだと感じました。

Coincidentally, I came across famous Norwegians, a literary figure and a figure from science and mathematics .

During the thin veneer of my research, I felt that it was easy to share the value of science and mathematics with the world, although the value of literature, based on languages, was much more difficult.

私達は、ブリティッシュ・エア・ウエイを利用しました。

もうすぐ搭乗です。

We used British Airways.

We were about to board.

干拓地
オランダの干拓は有名です。
飛行機から干拓の広さを見て、実感しました。

Polder
Dutch reclamation : the Dutch are famous for creating Polder.

From the air I realized the huge scale of the Polder.

運河

運河もたくさんあります。

私達はユトレヒトに一週間滞在しました。
ユトレヒトを歩き、運河に出会わなかった日はありませんでした。
たった一度のアムステルダムへの日帰り旅行の日も運河沿いを歩きました。

Canal
There are also many canals.

We stayed in Utrecht for a week.
There was no day when we walked through Utrecht and

 didn't see a canal.

We also walked along canals in the day of our one-day trip to Amsterdam.

滞在地がユトレヒトであったので、オランダ旅行というよりは、ユトレヒト訪問という印象の旅でした。

比較的ゆとりを持った計画だったので、じっくり見ることができたように思います。

それでも、"時間がなくて"という表現をなんどもブログの中で使ったように感じます。

それは私が欲張りだからかもしれません。

総合的に、この旅もオランダにも、良い印象を持っています。

観光は楽しかったです。

もしも次回のオランダ旅行があるのなら、違う土地へ行ってみたいですし、
"クレラー・ミュラー美術館 / Kröller-Müller Museum"には、ぜひ行きたいと思います。

オランダ旅行のセクションはこれが最後です。

Gatwick Airport Coming Soon

We mostly stayed in Utrecht, so it was more like a visit to Utrecht than a trip to the Netherlands.

Our plan was relatively loose, so I think I was able to look at the sights carefully.

Still, in my blog I seem to use the phrase "I don't have time" 

It may be because I might be greedy.

Overall, I have good impressions of this trip and the Netherlands.

I enjoyed sightseeing.

If I have my next trip to the Netherlands, I would love to go to different places and definitely visit the Kröller-Müller Museum".
