Surprised!
Who?
I wondered, this is a statue of Yoko
Gushiken (1955 -).
I
don't know boxing, however, I know his name.
He was a former champion of WBA Light Flyweight.
Somehow,
I have an image that he is gentle, even though he was a fighter.
On
this trip, I found that his nickname is 'Komuriwashi' : 'Crested
Serpent Eagle'.
According to Wiki about him, "Yoko Gushiken is a Japanese former professional boxer from 1974-1981. His professional record is 23-1 and he held the title of WBA Light Flyweight champion 1976-1981." Even now he is a local hero, isn't he? |
