ブリュージュ駅は、市の南に位置しています。

中世の町並みがよく保存されています。
観光サイト : ★
ブリュージュは、下の3つの世界遺産登録物件があります。
1) フランドル地方のベギン会修道院群に含まれるベギン会修道院
2) ウェスト＝フランデレン州庁舎
3) ブリュージュ歴史地区 - 旧市街区域
町は、'天井のない美術館(博物館)' と称され、
救世主大聖堂 / Saint
Salvator's Cathedral、
聖血礼拝堂/ Basilica
of the Holy Blood、
地方裁判所 /
Provinciaal
Hof (Provincial Court)、
聖母教会/ The
Church of Our Lady、
聖ヨハネ施療院 / Old
St. John's Hospital
といった歴史的建造物が点在し、赤煉瓦の家屋の美しい町並みがあります。
今回、私が立てた計画は、これらを回ることでなく、駅から運河沿いに散策し、中心地
: "マルクト広場" / "Markt Square / Grote Markt / Great Market Square "に向かうことでした。
世界遺産であるベギン会修道院は、その道沿いにあったので行きました。
その訪問については別のセクション: ベギン会修道院に書きます(下記)。
上記の歴史的建造物も訪ねてはみたいと思いましたが、のんびりやの私達には高望みかと思われました。
実際、ブリュージュに一つだけある醸造所を訪ね、ビールを飲んだあとは、もう、成り行き任せの散策になってしまい、歴史的建造物のことは忘れてしまいました(笑)。
市内観光のハイライトの一つは、町を縫う運河のクルーズです。
ブリュージュ運河に架かる多数の橋があり、橋はブリュージュの地名の由来にもなりました。

While
we stayed in Antwerp, we had a one day trip to Bruges.
Bruges is
the capital city of West
Flanders in northwestern Belgium.
Medieval
townscapes are well preserved.

Bruges has
three World Heritage registered properties, below.
1) Beguinage of
Bruges (Princely Beguinage Ten Wijngaerde) included
in the Beguinage group in the Flemish province
2) West-Flanders
State Government Building
3) Historic
Centre of Bruges - Old city area
The
town is designated the "Town
itself is the Museum without a ceiling", because it is
dotted with historic buildings such as
Provinciaal
Hof (Provincial Court),
This
time, my plan was not to go around these, but to walk along the canal
from the station and head towards the centre : Grote Markt / Great Market Square ".
Since the Beguinage of Bruges which is a world heritage was along the way, we went there.
I
will write about visit to Beguinage of Bruges in later section, below.
I
wanted to visit the above-mentioned historical buildings, though it
seemed to us that aim was too high.
Indeed,
after visiting the one brewery located in Bruges and drinking beer, it
was already a walking trail that left us leaving my ambition behind and I forgot
about the historic buildings (Laugh).
One of the highlights of city tourism is canal cruises, there are many bridges across the canal which became the origin of name Bruges.

このチケットは、9月6日にアントワープ中央駅で買いました。
77ユーロで、ベルギー 国内、どこへでも
10回分の電車が利用できます。
電車は2クラス(2e
Klas)の利用なので、
ファーストクラスの車両は使用できません。
使用した区間と日にちを書き込んでゆきます。
グループ使用もできるので、私達の場合は、アントワープ滞在中に
この段階ですでに通常料金よりも安くなっています。

and Ticket
We bought this ticket at Antwerp Central Station on 6th of September.
This
is 77 euros, it is available that we go anywhere in Belgium by trains 10 times.
Since
the train is used for 2 class (2e Klas), first class can not
be used.
We write the sections and the dates we used.
As people can also use groups, in our case during our stay in Antwerp,
we went to Bruges and Ghent, so we used trains 8 times
and
it is already cheaper than normal rates at this stage.

thought it seems to be a back gate or a fence of a nursing home.

ひっそりと彫像が立っていました。
ヘンドリック・ピッカリー / Hendrik Pickery (1828- 1894)
という方の像でした。
ブリュージュでは、彫刻家として知られているようです。
A statue was standing quietly.
The statue is Hendrik Pickery (1828- 1894).
In Bruges, he seems to be known as a sculptor.

"愛の湖"
/ ''Lake of Love"
運河の先には
、'愛の湖'と呼ばれる、小さい四角い湖とそれにかかる橋があり、橋の手前には、塔があります。
'愛の湖'は、その形状から、人工池であると察しられます。
There
is a small rectangular lake called 'Lake of Love'.
Close
to a canal just before a bridge there is a tower.
From the lake's shape, it is presumed to be an artificial pond.

ベルギーのブルージュにある中世の火薬貯蔵塔（1398-1401）です。
The tower is a medieval gunpowder storage tower (1398-1401).
ミニウォーター橋
橋を渡ると"ミニウォーター公園"
/ "Minnewaterpark" がありますが、
私達は行きませんでした。

the bridge is "Minnewaterpark",
although we did not visit.

『'愛の湖'のお話』
"ミンナ/
Minna というローマ人の美しい娘が、ローマとは敵である隣町の兵士である青年、ストロムバーグ/Stromberg
に恋をします。
ストロムバーグが戦いに出ている間に、ミンナの父親が望んだ男性と、ミンナは無理やり婚姻を結ばれそうになり、森に逃げました。
戻ってきたストロムバーグが彼女を見つけたときには、彼女は、すっかり弱りはて、彼の腕の中で亡くなりました。
嘆き悲しんだストロムバーグが彼女をそこに埋葬し、川のダムを壊して水で満たし湖を作ったといわれています。
湖はミンナにちなんで、ミニウォーター/ Minnewater 、または '愛の湖'と名付けられて、湖の橋は、'愛の橋'とされました。"
一方、この都市が港として栄えた14世紀には内港で、当時世界中からやってくる船が、年間を通して100隻以上も停泊していたそうです。

『Tale of 'Lake of Love' 』
"A
beautiful Roman daughter Minna falls in love with Stromberg, a young
man who is a soldier in the neighboring town, an enemy of Rome.
While Stromberg was away in a battle, Minna was about to be forced to marry a man who her father wanted, but she fled to the forest.
When
Stromberg came back and found her, she was completely weak and died
in his arms.
It
is said that the grieving Stromberg buried her there, breaking a river
dam and filling there with water and making a lake.
Named
after Minna, the lake was named Minnewater (or Lake of Love), the
bridge of the lake was regarded as a 'bridge of love'."
On
the other hand, in the 14th century when this city flourished as a
port, it says that there were over 100 vessels in the inner harbor
coming from all over the world throughout the year.

ベギン会修道院へ向かいました。
We headed for Beguinage.
