'デザイン博物館' というと、現代的な建物を想像してしまいますが、ここは、古い建物(築123年？)を使用しています。
もとは学校で、フィンランドの建築家、
グスタフ・ナイストローム / Gustaf
Nyström (1856 -1917)
が設計しました。
博物館としては、世界で最も古いものの一つで、今年で144年なります。
フィンランドと海外の、工業デザイン
(インダストリアル)、ファッションとグラフィックデザインのアイテムが展示されています。
なので市場で目にする多くのものがここで一度に見られます。

Museum
If
we hear of a 'Design Museum', we could easily imagine a modern
building, however,
this Museum uses an old building (123 years old).
It is a former
school and was designed
by a Finnish architect Gustaf
Nyström (1856 -1917).
The
items include industrial, fashion and graphic designs from Finland and
abroad.
So
we can see things at one time from different markets.
美術館前 / In Front of the Museum
美術館前にあるデーブルと椅子
誰でも使用できるようでした。
古い建物に赤い椅子とテーブルが映えます。
ヘルシンキでは、ポイントとして赤が使用されることが多いように感じました。
There are tables and chairs in front of the Museum. They seems to be used by everybody.
The age of the building lends even more charm to the 'Red' of the tales and chairs.
In Helsinki, I felt many places and things are using red colour as their high-points.

| 入場チケット : ステッカー 入場者がここを離れていくとき壁に貼っているようです。 遊び心か、みんなでアートを作るという行為かと思います。 Tickets : Sticker When visitors left here, they seem to put their stickers on the wall. I think this is playful minds or all visitors make art.  |

| レセプションでの展示 おそらく、私が初めて北欧デザインに触れたものが フィスカース(Fiskars)のハサミであったと思います。 きれいで、よく切れて大好きなハサミです。 フィスカースは創業1649年、368年前、きゃ〜！ 北欧デザインの代表格ですね。 なるほど、レセプションに展示されているわけですね〜。 Display at Reception Probably the first example I came across of Scandinavia Design was scissors by Fiskars. They are beautiful and cut well, I do like them! Fiskars was established in 1649, Wow! it was 368 years ago! This is representative of Scandinavia Design. Indeed, hence they are displayed in the reception. |

| 'エーロ・アールニオ' の 'ボールチェアー' エーロ・アールニオ / Eero Aarnia (1932 ~ / ★) は、 フィンランドのインテリア・デザイナー。 1963年にデザインされています。 『2001年宇宙の旅』[1968 / 監督 : スタンリー・キュービック(1928 -1999)] にも使用されているとか...なるほどね、そんな感じ。 現在では、工業デザインの世界では古典 (クラッシック) と考えられています。 ちなみに日本では一脚、100万円近くするようです...!!! ここでは誰もがこの椅子に座ることができます。 Eero Aarnia's Ball Chair Eero Aarnia (1932 ~ / ★) is a Finnish interior designer. The Ball Chair was designed in 1963. I heard this chair is in a film, "2001: A Space Odyssey" [1968 / director : Stanley Kubrick (1928 -1999)], indeed, it looks as thought it has that atmosphere. Today, it is considered a classic of industrial design. By the way, the price is close to ¥100,000 in Japan....!!! Here, everybody can sit down in the chair. |

| こんなポスターも貼られていました。 いかにもヘルシンキ (北欧) 的なデザインだな〜と 私は感じたのですけれど...いかがでしょう？ There were posters on the walls. I felt indeed Helsinki style (Scandinavia style) design, though how about you?  これは北欧的というよりも、個性的？ 日本ではあまり見かけないデザインタイプに思えます。 上のデザインもこれも遊び心が感じられます。 日本のポスターデザインはとてもおしゃれでセンスが良いけれど、 ちょっと遊び心がたりないのかもしれません。 This is unique rather than Scandinavia style. I think I haven't seen this type of design often.I feel playful mind for this and above. Japanese poster designs are very stylish and have good sense, however, they might have a little lack of playful minds. |

| あれは何かしら？と近づいたら、 コート掛けであることに気がつきました。 もしかしたら傘立て兼用なのかもしれません。
そういえば、"アカデミア書店 /Academic Bookstore" にも
おしゃれなコート掛けがありました。
階段や床との

デザイン博物館では、フラッシュなしの撮影が許可されています。
なので、私は、たくさんの写真をとりました。
そのいくつかを次のセクションに載せたいと思います。
The Design Museum allows photographs without flash.
So I photographed a lot.
I shall show you some of them in the next section.
