1) 聖ジョン(ヨハネ) 教会 : ヨハネス教会 / St. John's  Church

デザイン博物館へ向かっている途中で
この建物が見えました。
何かしら〜？ 教会？
ちょっと道草、この建物を目指し歩き出しました。

While we went towards the Design Museum I saw this building.
What was that?  A church?
I would have a little loitering on the way, we went toward the building.

聖ジョン(ヨハネ)教会
(通常、'ヨハネス教会'と訳されるようです）
設計: Adolf Emil Melander (1845 - 1933)
1891年竣工
二つの塔の高さは、74メートル。
'ゴシック・リヴァイバル建築' (ゴシック復興様式)です。
初めて、'ゴシック・リヴァイバル建築' というものがあるのを知りました。
(過去に目にしたかもしれませんが記憶にありませんでした）
'ネオ・ゴシック建築' とも呼ばれるようで、
こちらの言葉は、馴染みがありました。
ロンドンの "ウエストミンスター宮殿 (国会議事堂)" 、"ビックベン" 
がある建物もこの建築様式です。

Built in 1891
The twin towers are 74m.
St. John's Church  / Johanneksenkirkko is the Gothic Revival style.
It was the first time I knew the words, 'the Gothic Revival style'.
(Maybe I came across in a past time, I did not remember.)
It seems to be called 'Neo-Gothic style' too, 
and I am familiar with this.
The building the "Palace of Westminster" with 'Big Ben' is this style.

お花が綺麗に飾られています。
"岩の教会のテンペリオ教会"と同様に、
フィンランド福音ルター派教会に属しています。

The flowers display well.
This church belongs to Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland like 
the "Rock Church" : "Temppeliaukio Church".

着席数 2,600

私達は時間がなくて中が見られなかったのですが、
Wikiに載っていたので、それを使用します。
下記は、Wikiからの要約です。
"フィンランドの石の教会では最大の2,600人が着席できます。優れた音響効果があるので、大きいコンサートとイベント、礼拝のために使われます。" 

"ウエストミンスター宮殿"に隣接する "ウエストミンスター寺院" の着席数は
2,000と聞くので、2,600人はすごい数字なのですね。
Wikiの写真から、内部の装飾も豪華そうに感じます。


Seating 2,600
We did not have time for looking at the inside,
 although I found a photograph in Wiki, above and I use it here.

According to Wiki, below

"It is the largest stone church in Finland by seating capacity.
~~~~ the church seats 2,600 people and has excellent acoustics,
and it is therefore used for big concerts and events as well as services."

I heard that "Westminster Abbey" seats, 2,000 so 2,600 is great, isn't it?

この教会で結婚式がありました。
教会のドアがぴっちり閉められていた印象があったのは、
結婚式が行われていたからだったのですね。
皆、幸せそう、こちらまで嬉しくなります。

There was a wedding ceremony in the church.
My impression was that the church's doors were completely closed,
because of the ceremony, indeed.
Everybody looks happy, which makes me delighted.

2) ムーミンカフェ / Moomin Cafe (Mumin Kaffe)

聖ジョン教会の向かいに 'ムーミン ・カフェ' がありました。
私は写真を撮っただけです。
今回の旅行では、タンペレにあり、今年の6月にオープンされた
ムーミン美術館へ行くことを諦め、
トーベ・ヤンソン (1914 - 2001)の島へ行くことも諦めました。
その後、ムーミン関連するカフェやショップに対する意欲が落ちました。
それでも結構な数のムーミン商品は購入しました。
それらは美術館のショップで売られていたものでした。

There is a 'Moomin cafe : Mumin Kaffe' in front of St. John's Church.
I just photographed.
I gave up Moomin Museum in Tampere,  opened in June this year
and I gave up the Isle of Tove Jansson (1914 - 2001) : Klovharu
After then my motivation was lower for cafes or shops related to Moomin,
although I bought a few Moomin things.
I bought them in galleries or museums.
'スニフ' と 'スナフキン' が窓に描かれているのですけれど、
見えますか？

There are 'Sniff' and 'Snufkin' on the glass window.
Can you see them?
