❻4月21-23日、誕生日旅行 - 仙台 / Birthday Trip - Sendai, 21st - 23rd of April, 2016

仙台市内を見て回る時間があまりなく、宝禅寺通り(ジョウゼンジドオリ)だけ見に行きました。

駅前から宝禅寺通りに歩いているときに、偶然に、青柳文庫碑を見つけました。

We did not have much time for Sendai City, so we decided to visit just Jyouzen-ji Street.

While we walked there from Sendai Station, we found the Aoyagibunko Monument.

本の形の青柳文庫碑
青柳文庫は、仙台藩の仙台城下町に幕末 (1853 - 1869)から明治維新 (1868 - 1912)

まで存続した文庫で、日本で最初の公開図書館です。

当時の幾つか残った蔵書は、仙台の幾つかの図書館と

二つの博物館に所蔵されています。

Aoyagibunko Monument in the Shape of an Open Book

Aoyagibunko was the first public library in Japan,

 opened here in the Bakumatsu period (1853 - 1869) and 

closed during the Meiji Restoration (1868 - 1912) .

Today, some of the surviving books from that time are held 

 in various libraries and two museums in Sendai.

宝禅寺通り / Jyouzen-ji Street

 Big Trees 
Trees are Zelkova serrata and Ginko.

もとは、定禅寺 (ジョウゼンジ) の参道でしたが、

このお寺が廃寺 (ハイジ) 後も、通りは残り、

今では、さまざまなイベントが行われています。

This street was originally the approach to Hojo-ji Temple, 

however, after the Temple closed, they kept the street 

and a few events are held there nowadays.

駅チカのレストランで仙台名物、牛タンを姉にご馳走になりました。
ありがとうございます〜〜！
二人で4品ほど食べました！もちろん、ビールも〜！

Ox Tongue Steak
Ox tongue dishes are a specialty of Sendai, so we had some dishes 

in a restaurant, below the Station.

Of course, with beer!

My sister treated me, thank you~~!

自分へのお土産はガラスの箸置きと'伊達の塩'
Souvenirs for myself are glass chopstick stands and 'Date's Salt'.

楽しい旅でした。
