カメラマンの友人 N さんがカメラマン同士でグループ展を世田谷美術館で開催しているので、出かけました。

A photographer friend, N San has a group exhibition with other photographers in Setagaya Art Museum , Tokyo.

We used trains from Kamakura Station to Den-en-chōfu Station, then we used
a local bus to the closest bus stop to the museum.

2) 世田谷美術館 / Setagaya Art Museum

のんびりとして、グリーンに恵まれた環境にあります。
Setagaya Art Museum is in Kinuta Park.
The environment is easy-going atmosphere and lush with greenery.

| ピンクの花 セイヨウトチノキの花が咲いていました。 英国ではときどき見かけますが、日本では初めて見ました。 セイヨウトチノキは、英語で horse-chestnut / ホース チェストナッツ と呼ばれます。 チェストナッツは栗の意味ですが、栗の木の種類ではありません。 ピンクの花をつける木と白い花をつける木があります。 フランス語では、marronnier / マロニエです。 パリの街路樹といえば、マロニエの木と私には思い浮かぶのですが、 マロニエがセイヨウトチノキであると今回知りました。 英語名もフラン名も当初、栗の木(フランス語では栗はマロン / marron)と 誤解されたことに由来しています。 日本のトチノキは英語で、Japanese horse-chestnut と呼ばれ、 フランス語では le marronnier du Japon / ラ マロニエ デゥ ジャポン(日本のマロニエ)です。  Pink Flowers The 'Horse-chestnut' blossomed. Sometimes I saw the flowers in Britain, although this was the first time I saw them in Japan. There are two types of tree, one has pink flowers and the other has a white flowers. It is called 'Le Marronnier' in French.'Marronnier' reminds me of Paris' trees lining a street,however, I have now found out a 'Marronnier' is a 'Horse-chestnut'. English name and French name came from misunderstandings of chestnut or marron in the beginning. |

| テントの中 N さんの説明を聞くのが楽しかったです。 彼女の作品は大きく分けて２つ、 ひとつは、エレガントで強い、彼女の理想の女性像 もうひとつは、日常、非日常(旅行、幻想の世界)の中での彼女の遊び心 と私は理解しました。 In the Tent I enjoyed N San's explanation. I understand that broadly her works were two types, one is her ideal woman who is elegant and strong, the other is her playful minds in normal life and unusual life - like trips or in her fantasy world. |

| テントの中には彼女の写真も どこの場所でのものか、聞いたけれど忘れてしまいました。 素敵な写真！それで十分でしょう。 There was one of her photographs, too in the tent. I heard where it is, although I forgot. This is a lovely photograph, it is alright! |
N さんは、私の個展によくいらしてくださいます。
今年も鎌倉の会場 (2015年4月10日〜19日 / 下記) まで、お友達をつれてやってきてくれました。

4) Setabi Cafe (セタビ カフェ)
美術館のカフェ：' Setabi Cafe (セタビカフェ)' : ★でランチをとりました。
なかなか良いカフェでした。

時間がなくて、常設展も企画展も見ることができず、ミュージアムショップ : ★ にさえも寄ることができませんでした。
次回はこれらを目指して行きたいと思います。
We did not have enough time for looking at their permanent or special exhibitions, we did not even pop in the museum shop.
Later I would visit for them.
