Turner Contemporary

マーゲイト/ Margate という場所も知りませんでしたし、ここに

'Turner Contemporary'があるのも知りませんでした。

この美術館は、テイト/ Tateの支部のような扱いだと思います。

旅行の予定にはない訪問だったので、ゆっくりは見られませんでしたが、行って良かったです。

何しろ、今回の旅行では、まだ美術館に行っていなかったので、美術館の雰囲気やアート作品に触れたい気持ちがちょっと落ち着きました。

この美術館は基本的にターナー作品を収集し展示しているようでしたが、私は今回、そちらには足を運びませんでした。

ターナー作品は、今までも見て来ているし、ロンドンでも見られるし、この時間のない中で行くこともないかと思ったからです。

I did not know Margate  and 'Turner Contemporary' in Margate.

I think the gallery seems like a branch of the Tate.

My planning did not include this visit, 

so I could not stay there enough, 

although I was pleased by this visit.

Anyway, I hadn't visited any galleries and museums,
 I missed their atmosphere and the art works,
 so I feel I caught them a little there.

The gallery basically seems to collect Turner's works, 
although I did not visit the section this time, 
because I have seen many of his works in London.

North Sea Beyond Windows

I guess they use the view from the windows in their displays.

1階では下記を開催していました。
The ground floor had below exhibition.

Betteridge & Milsomという建築会社の広告のような展覧会かな？

私はジオラマが好きなので、ミニチュアの世界を楽しみました。

The exhibition seemed to see advertise a company :Betteridge & Milsom.

I do like dioramas, so I enjoyed their miniature worlds.

オックスフォードのピットリバーズ博物館のようだと感じました。
