フランスで年に一度、
メドックマラソン/ MARATHON DU MÉDOC
があります。

このマラソンはフルマラソン: 42.195Kmで、ボルドー、メドック地方のワイナリーやぶどう畑の中を、ワインを飲んで、コスチュームをつけて走ります。
この発想も実現も、日本では考えられませんよね。
今年、英国に住む友人Mが彼女の友人達とこのマラソンに参加しました。
今年のテーマは
'歴史'、
彼女達が選んだのは、
'聖徳太子'
で、フレーズは'
'聖徳太子は10人の言うことを理解できる'
でした。
私にこのイラストレーションの依頼が来て、許された時間が半日くらいでした。
わ〜っと仕上げてメールに添付して送りました。
こども服のF社を退社以来、長い間服のために絵を描いなかったことに気ずきました。
Mにはいつも助けられているので、彼女のために何かできたことが嬉しかったです。

T- Shirt for MARATHON DU MÉDOC, 2012
In France, there is a 'MARATHON DU MÉDOC' once a year.

Runners in this MARATHON visit some wine chateaux and can drink wine and wear fancy dress.
This idea and type of event is impossible in Japan, isn' it?
My friend M, who lives in Britain, took part in 'MARATHON DU MÉDOC, 2012' with a group of her friends.
This year's theme was 'History', and they chose
'Shotokutaishi',
the phrase was
'Shoutoku Taishi can understand 10 people speaking at the same time'.
By the time I had her request for the illustration, I had less than half
a day to finish.
I rushed to illustrate and send by e-mail. (Above illustrations)
I realized that I hadn't illustrated any clothing since I left F company, who make clothes for children.
M always helps me, so I am glad that I did this for her.
