鎌倉散策 / Walk in Kamakura - July, 2014

姉Yと鎌倉散策。

My sister Y and I walked in Kamakura.

カフェ ヴィヴモンディモンシェ

年に複数回行くカフェなのに、いつまでたっても名前が覚えられません...

I go here a few times in a year, although I can never remember the name...

源平池 / Genpei Pond

鶴岡八幡宮 境内にある源平池は、以前は八幡様に向かって右が源氏池、左が平家池と分けられていたと聞きました。

源氏池には旗上弁財天があり、源氏の旗がたくさんはためいています。

平家池は近代美術館がある方です。

夏の見所のひとつは池一面に咲く蓮です。

蓮の花も源氏池は白(白蓮)で、平家池は赤(赤蓮)だったそうですが、現在は花も咲き混じり、名前も一緒になって呼ばれるようになりました。

正確な言い方をする場合は、今でも分けるのかもしれませんが、殆ど源平池として
扱われるように感じます。

鶴岡八幡宮の公式websiteでもどちらの池の名前も源平池になっています。

遠い昔に敵味方に分かれて戦ったとしても、時が経てば混じり合い、それが通常になってゆくことと重なります。

まだ蓮の時期には早いようで、花はあまり見かけません。

平家池 / Heike Pond
Genpei Ponds / 源平池 are in Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu : Tsurugaoka Shrine. :★
Actually there are two and people treated them separately, 
one is Heike Pond / 平家池 on the left side of the main shrine, 
the other one is Genji Pond / 源氏池 on the right side.

One of the summer highlights is lotus blooming all over the ponds.
Heike Pond was formerly red lotus and Genji Pond was white lotus,
however, nowadays they are mixed and the name also mixed, Genpei Pond / 源平池, 
or to be exact they maybe treated separately even now.
Tsurugaoka Shrine's official website introduces the pond : Genpei pond. 
I feel it is similar to when be people were enemies fought a long time ago, 
and then later they become mixed which becomes normal.

Now it seems to be too early for their blossom, so I do not find many flowers.

海へ / To the Sea - June, 2014

姉YとRと私で海まで散歩しました。

お天気がよくて、誰かが一緒に歩くのなら、出不精の私も鎌倉山から七里ケ浜まで下って行く事ができます。

My sister Y, R and I walked from our house to the sea.

I am a stay-at-home, although if it is a sunny day, with somebody, I could walk down from Kamakurayama to Shichirigahama.

海の色が素敵！
Sea colour is lovely!

海は人を幸せにする......空も幸せにする......
江ノ島が見えます。

Sea can make people happy...Sky too.....
 I can see Enoshima: Enoshima Island.

突然英国へ / Suddenly Britain, 23rd of April - 24th of May, 2014

突然....

私の誕生日に、英国からRの父の危篤の知らせが入り、その２日後には渡英しました。

おかげで義父に合えて話もでき、目の前で見送ることもでき、お葬式にも出ることができました。

約１ヶ月間の英国滞在でしたが、ブログに載せる内容も写真もありません。

下の写真は、マンチェスターのホテルに２泊した時のものです。

このホテルの後は短期滞在の宿泊施設を利用しました。→★ : "Orkfiled Court"

そこが素敵な場所であったので、疲れた心身を休めることができました。

Suddenly.... 

On my birthday, we had a call about R's father who was in a critical condition, so we went Britain in two days.

Then we could see him, have talking, be present by his deathbed and have his funeral.

I stayed about one month, although I do not have contents and photographs for my blog.

Below photograph: we stayed in a hotel the first two nights in Manchester.

After then we stayed in short stay accommodation : "Oakfield Court". →★

There is so lovely, then we could be relaxed.

❼長野旅行- 松本のお店 / Nagano Trip - Shops in Matsumoto, 11th of April, 2014

1) ランチ / Lunch 

三城 (サンジロ)

お城をでてすぐにランチです。もちろん、蕎麦屋さん。

ネットで蕎麦屋さんは調べていて、このお店は記憶していました。

かなりの有名店らしかったけれど、お城の近くだったので

私達にとっては都合も良かったのです。

「食」ということだけに捕われずに、雰囲気やサービスなどなどすべてを

考慮し、ひとつの娯楽施設 (?) として一度は訪ねても良いお店です。

私はもう行かないかもしれませんが、でも、松本を再び訪ねたら

行きたくなってしまうかもしれません...不思議な魅力があるお蕎麦屋さんです。

Sanjiro : Soba Restaurant

We left the castle and straight away went to have lunch. Of course Soba!

 I had researched Soba restaurants in Matusmoto and I remembered this one.

It seems to be quite famous, they are close to the castle,

 and for us it was convenient, too.

In my view, you do not only consider "Food" but also their atmosphere, service 

and other things and then if you can think about the restaurant 

as one type of amusement, you might enjoy there or should go at least once. 

The information → ★ in Japanese, sorry.

Maybe I will not go there again, however, if I do visit Matsumoto again, 

I might decide I want to go there...the restaurant has a mysterious attraction. 

2) カフェ / Cafe

"珈琲まるも"
'マツモト'という雰囲気がします。

Cafe: "Coffee Marumo"
I feel 'Matsumoto' atmosphere.

3)お店 / Shops

漆器のお店
素敵な漆器がありました。
私達が入店後、女性のツアーグループが来てわさわさと店内がして
私は買う機会を逃しました。残念！

Lacquer Ware Shop
There are lovely things.
After we went in, a tour group of women came in, then there was quite noisy,
so I lost my chance for buying. That's too bad.

雑貨屋さん
私はこのお店のセンスがとても気に入りました。
でも、買おうと思う品がないのが残念です。

雑貨屋さんと思いましたが、あとになって、本屋さんだとわかりました。
そうだったのか〜！

Things Shop
I like this shop's sense, although there were not things which I would buy.
That's too bad.

Later, I found this shop is a book shop, I see~!
"栞日 /shioribi " :  ★ only in Japanese

4)再びカフェ / Again Cafe

相澤病院前のカフェ
不思議なことに、このカフェにも『神様のカルテ』に
通じる素直さがありました。

This cafe is in front of Aizawa Hospital.
Strangely this cafe has a similar straightforwardness
 to the novel "Kamisama-no-Karute".

青翰堂分店 (セイカンドウブンテン) ：★
松本城のふりをしているかわいい本屋さん。
古い小物も置いているようです。
大名町通りにあります。

Seikando - bunten
Second-hand Book Shop Branch on Daimyo Machi Street.
It pretends to be Matsumoto Castle, lovely!
They have small old things, too.

1) 縄手通り (ナワテトオリ）/ Nawate Street 

大手交番 / Ote Police Box

カエルがシンボルで、左端の物体は "がまざむらい像"
ちょっと気取った松本をおちょくる狙いでしょうか？

Nawate Street 
The symbol is Kaeru : frog or the family of frog.
On the left : a statue "Gamazamurai；Toad Samurai"
Does it take aim perhaps to tease slightly affected Matsumoto? 


2001年に全面改装され、昔の町並みを再現しているそうです...
私には、ちょっと違和感がある通りでした。

This street was re-built in 2001, to reproduce an old street.
I felt something was a little wrong with the street.

四柱神社 / Shichu Shrine 

女鳥川 (メトバガワ) 沿いにあります。
The street is alongside Metoba River.

2) 他の町並み / Other Streets

お魚屋さんがこんな建物に。
A Fishmonger is in a building like this.

これから改装されるような気配がしていました。
There seems about to be refurbished from now.

レストランか居酒屋か？
Is this a restaurant or a pub?

"蔵のある街、中町"と言われる通り→ ★
なるほど〜と思います。

3) 松本市美術館 / Matsumoto City Museum of Art

中まち通りから、松本市美術館にバスに乗って向かいます。

We were going to go to Matsumoto City Museum of Art from Nakamachi Street by bus.

草間彌生 (クサマヤヨイ) のバスだ〜！
草間弥生 (1929 - ) を代表する赤の水玉柄のバス。
こういう感覚は鎌倉にはないと思います。
現代アートのセンスも組み込めるのが松本の強みでしょうか？

Yayoi Kusama's Bu~s!
Red Polka-dots are representative of Yayoi Kusama (1929 -).
The bus is covered with them.
I think Kamakura does not have this sense.
Is Matsumoto's asset that they can absorb contemporary art sense in the city?

美術館裏は、表とは正反対の雰囲気があります。
こちらは鎌倉風？

Behind the museum has an opposite atmosphere from the front.
Is here Kamakura style?

4) 『神様のカルテ』を追う 
     Follow "Kamisama -no -Karyte": a Japanese Novel

松本駅に着いたときに、 駅の観光案内所に行き、情報集めをしました。

その中に『神様のカルテ』の映画のロケ地がパンフレットになったものがあり、
驚くとともに、自分のミーハー気質を感じました。(笑) →★

けれども、詳細に物語の場所を追ったり、映画のロケ地を追ったりするほどの熱意も根性もないので、私の気質など吹けば飛ぶようなものです。

私は、まあ、だいたい、この辺らしい...とか、偶然に、あっ！ここはもしかしてと発見したりとか、そういう探し方というか、出会いが好きです。



Follow "Kamisama -no -Karyte": a Japanese Novel

When we arrived at Matsumoto Station, we went to the information office in the station and collected some pamphlets.→★ in Japanese.

One of them was a pamphlet of locations in the film which surprised me, as well as 
I felt my lowbrow taste, laugh.

However, well, I do not have energy and passion for following the locations in the novel and the films in detail, my interest is not so strong.

My way is to feel that probably something happened here or Oh! maybe here! 
I found something by chance.

深志神社
主人公と奥さんが時々ここで合いますし、
主人公の通勤通路でもあります。

Fukashi Shrine
Sometimes the main Character and his wife meet here,
and here is on his walk to work.

消火ばけつ
小説の中にはでてこないけれど、おめあての相澤病院へ行く道で見つけました。

Fire Extinguishing Buckets 
Here is not in the novel, although I found them on my way to
my purpose, Aizawa Hospital. 

じゃ〜ん、ここが相澤病院です。

中に入る訳でもなく、何がかわるという訳でもなく、ただ単に喜ぶだけです。はい！
この病院のバス停からバスに乗って駅に向かいました。
『神様のカルテ』の中で主人公が本庄病院を説明する時に使用される

"365日、24時間営業の赤い看板"

がここに見られます。

Ta-Dah! Here is Aizawa Hospital. 

I am not going to go in, just to see it is enough and I am simply glad! Yes!
From the hospital bus stop, we got on a bus to Matsumoto Station

In the novel, the main character explains about 'Honjo Hospital'

"The red sign shows people we are open 24 hours 365days".

We can see the sign here.

❺長野旅行- 松本城 / Nagano Trip - Matsumoto Castle, 11th of April, 2014

以前にも松本城には来ましたが、今回は桜の季節で、特別素晴らしく感じました。

日本のお城に桜....バックには八ヶ岳の山々が...なんて素敵なシーンなのでしょう！

I came to Matsumoto Castle before, however, this time was cherry blossom season, so I felt the castle was especially fantastic! 

Japanese castle, cherry blossom...background has Yatsugatake Mountains...it was an amazing scene!

時代がわからなくなります。
I become confused as to which time I am in.

日本のお城の堀にも西洋のお城の堀にも白鳥はいるのですね〜！
Swan in Japanese castle moat, Western castle moats as well.

オ〜！どうだ〜！この景色! って感じしませんか？(笑)

Wow! What a wonderful view~! You must think like that! (laugh)

お城の中から / From Inside the Castle

お城をバックに結婚記念写真を撮るのですね。
絵の課外授業に来ている小学生がいたり、観光客がいたり....
いろいろな人たちが集まっています。

The wedding couple will be taken in Wedding photographs 
with the castle, won't they?
There are schoolchildren for extracurricular lesson of drawing and tourists...
Many various people come here.

そうです。お堀に鯉はつきものです。
Oh! Yes! Carp must be in the castle moat.

お城を出ます！
We are going to leave the castle building!

残念ながら、読めない....
Unfortunately I cannot read this...

このお城はどこから見ても美しい~!
This caste is beautiful from every angle!

お城を離れて市内観光をします！
We are leaving the castle for sightseeing in Matsumoto!

市内観光をし、松本を離れる前にもう一度お城を見るために、
バスで、お城を廻り、バスの中からお城を撮影しました。
(あっ！ちなみにこの写真にはお城は写っていないので、探さないでくださいね）

After sightseeing and before leaving Matsumoto,
I would look at the castle again, so we got on a bus and then
I tried to take photographs of the castle from the bus.
(By the way, this photograph does not have the castle, so please do not look for it)

夜にライトアップされて、とても奇麗だと聞きました。
残念ながら、私達にはその機会が持てませんでした。

I heard the castle is lit up at night and it is such a beautiful sight.
Unfortunately we did not have a chance to catch it.
