3回めのラフ案 / The Third Draft

私が表面にタイトルなしを決めた後、

Rieさんが宛名面の全面カラーを提案してくれました(上の画像)。

DMにある'クーニーの森'にそった色選びだと理解し、その色も上品で良いと思います。また最近、印刷は非常に安くなって、同じ価格で宛名面にも色が使用できることも彼女は考慮してくれています。

それでも、今回は、白地でゆくことにしました。

磁器が白ですし、白の方が想像力がわくかと思ったからです。

納期ぎりぎりまでいろいろなことを考慮してくれる

Rieさんに頭がさがります。

本当にありがとうございます！！！

After I decided on the front of DM without the title, Rie suggested that the side for the address has a colour (above photograph).

I understand the colour suits ''Coonie's Forest'' and I feel the colour is elegant. I think she considered the cost of the printing which is cheeper nowadays, so the front can have colours at the same cost. However, I decided that this time the back should be white, because my porcelain work is white and I think white colour leaves more to people's imagination.

I really respect her for her consideration and perseverance until the end.

ラピスのディスプレイ / Display in Lapis

1) いろいろなディスプレイ/ Many Displays

友人の和気さんが経営する美容院Lapisへ行きました。

                                                                                                     彼女は私の寒中見舞いのカードをお店のネームプレートとしてドアに張っていました。

                                                                                                     とても嬉しかった！

残念ながら、それは写真に撮りませんでしたが、店内の写真を何枚か撮りました(下の画像)。

I go to Lapis hairdresser's which is managed by one of my friends, Wake San. 

She uses my greeting card as the name plate on the front door.

I was very glad! I did not take a photograph. 

That's too bad.

But I took some photographs inside (below).

    Collection of Masayoshi Maeda's Works

ディスプレイの中にこの本がありました。

前田昌良さんの初の作品集『星を運ぶ舟』作品集。

This book is displayed there too. 

It is the first collection of Masayoshi Maeda's works : 
Hoshi wo Hakobu Fune : The Boat Carries Stars.

私が英国で読んだ小川洋子さんの本『猫を抱いて象と泳ぐ』の表紙を担当していた人と同じです。

私はその表紙が好きでした。(下記)

英国にいるときに読んだ本 - Books in Britain

前田さんの作品集には、彼の文章もありますが、小川さんの作品
『星座を描く少年』もあります。

帰宅後、さっそくアマゾンで注文しました。

そうそう、和気さんはとても素敵な髪型を私に作ってくれました。

初めてのアンシンメトリー(非対称)の髪型です！

Collection of Akira Maeda's Works

In Britain I read a book : 
Swimming with an Elephant while holding a Cat by Yoko Ogawa. 

I like the book cover which is by Masayoshi Maeda.

The collection has his prose, objects and Yoko Ogawa's work : 
The Boy Draws Constellations.

When I got home, I ordered the collection from Amazon.

Oh! Yes! 

 Wake San gave me a lovely hair style. 

It is the first that I have an asymmetry one.

２回めのラフ案 / The Second Drafts

私の写真の取り方が悪いので、バックが違う色に見えますが、同じ白です。

I bought some post-cards of her work from her first exhibition. I like this series, although she hasn't got post-cards of the latest paintings in her series yet. That' too bad!

2) 個展への思い / Exhibition Concept

タイトルは

Coonie's Spirit of Adventure / クーニーの冒険魂

私の今回の個展で目指した事は、おおらかに、開け、遊び、まとまりきらない状態を作ること。

まだまだ、やんちゃだぜ～っという雰囲気を出したい。

そういう思いを冒険魂という言葉にしています。

作品数は平面作品が多いですが、気持ち的には立体作品：磁器作品が基本にあります。

作品も大切ですが、私が最も大切にしていることは、作品が作り出す、会場のスペース、雰囲気です。

Exhibition Concept

The title is Coonie's Spirit of Adventure.

I would make a situation of the exhibition which is easy-going, open, playful and not definite. I hope the atmosphere is still mischievous and naughty. I entrust these ideas to the word "Adventure".

I plan to have more two-dimensional works than three-dimensional works : porcelain works. However, my intentions are that the porcelain works are more fundamental. Each piece is important, although for me, the space and atmosphere created by my works are most important.

3) DM のコメント/ Comments in DM

coonie の森を探検すると遺跡が見つかります。

そこはファンタジーの入り口。

想像の翼をひろげて遊んでいってください。

平面作品はドローイングとリトグラフ、立体作品は磁器です。

Comments in DM

You will find a ruin after exploring in Coonie's Forest.

That is an entrance into a world of fantasy.

Please spread your wings of imagination and play there.

Two-dimation works are drawings and lithographs, three-dimation works are porcelain.

4) ありがとう/ Thank you!

上記のような私の思いを汲んで、Rieさんがラフ案を作ってくれたのです。

自分の個展なのに、彼女のDM案を、見ていると、わくわく、どきどき、させられます。彼女のエネルギーやパワーがそのデザインに感じられます。

Rieさんには、私のHPも作っていただきました、このブログのたちあげもしていただきました。いつもいつも、ありがとうございます。

私も、私の作品世界も、多くの人によって支えられているのを感じます。

Rie understood my thoughts and ideas, then she made two designs. Even though the exhibition is mine, the drafts made me excited. I feel her energy and power in her draft designs.

新しい作品 / New Work

1)リトグラフ / Lithograph
新しいリトグラフ作品ができました。今回のは自分で考えた新しい版作りでした。なので、版を作る過程、刷る過程がいつもにもまして、わくわくどきどきしました。

感情を表に出さない先生もちょっとわくわくしているように見受けられました。

この手法でしばらく続けてみようかと思います。

Lithograph

I made new lithograph works. I found a new method myself.

So I was more excited than usual while I made a plate and did printing with my teacher. The teacher usually does not show his feeling, although he looked a little bit excited.

I will continue this method for a while.

写真で見ると、大きさがよくわかりませんね。指輪くらいのサイズにも見えます。

友人の個展/ My Friend's Exhibition

友人の水野結実さんの個展が
2月2日から28日まで、

鎌倉のOnari Cafeで開かれています。

4日に、その会場でウクレレのライヴがありました。

オープニングの日にも、ライヴの日にも私は行きましたが、カメラを忘れて撮影できませんでした。

その後も撮影のためにカフェに行ったのに、またまたカメラを忘れてしまいました。

私は、何をやっているでのしょう！

結実さん、ごめんなさい。

なので、ここでは彼女のDMを載せます。

One of my friends, Yumi Mizuno has her exhibition in Onari Cafe in Kamakura: 2nd ~ 28th Feb.

There was a Ukulele live performance 4th.

I went to the cafe on the 2nd and the 4th, although I did not take my camera so I could not get photographs. 

After then I went to the cafe for taking photograph of her exhibition, however, I left my camera my house again! 

What am I doing? I am very sorry Yumi!
