1) 雪の結晶 / Snowflakes

私は、スワロフスキー / Swarovski : ★ のクリスマス・オーナメント・'雪の結晶' のコレクションを長い間しています。

毎年、'雪の結晶' のデザインは変わります。

以前は、デザインは1つでしたが、ここ数年、色違いができたり、立体のデザインができたり、バリエーションが増えています。

毎年、1つづつ増やしてゆくことに楽しみを抱いていたので、なるべく、1年に1つのデザインにしぼって買っています。

今年は、'雪の結晶'のデザインもパッケージも、優雅なオーストリアらしさが欠けているように感じ、ちょっとがっかりしました。

Snowflakes

I have been collecting Swarovski: ★ Christmas ornaments, 'Snowflakes' for a long time.

Every year the design of the 'Snowflakes' changes.

Previously there was only one design, but in recent years the variety has increased with different colours and three-dimensional designs.

I enjoy adding one to my collection each year, so I try to buy only one design per year.

This year, I was a little disappointed as both the design and packaging of the 'Snowflakes' seemed to lack the elegant Austrian feel.

2) 温泉まんじゅう / Onsen Manjyu

お隣のTご夫婦から、'温泉まんじゅう' をいただきました。

'温泉まんじゅう' を最後にいつ、食べたのか思い出せないほど、久しぶりでした。

Rにとっては、初めての'温泉まんじゅう'です。

鎌倉の鳩サブレ同様に、'いつもの味' 、いや、昔より、しっとりして美味しくなったように思います。

Onsen Manjyu

We received  'Onsen Manjyu : Hot Spring Manjyu' from our next-door, Mr. and Mrs. T.

According to Nikko City Tourism Association website, about Onsen Manju,

"Onsen manju, steamed buns filled with sweet azuki bean paste, have many variations in ingredients and appearance."

According to Shizuoka's food culture Know website about Onsen Manjyu, 

"Onsen manju is a manju steamed using steam from a hot spring. "

It's been so long since I last ate onsen manju that I can't even remember the last time.

It was R's first time eating onsen manjyu.

Like the Hato Sable from Kamakura, it had the 'usual taste', or rather, it seems moister and more delicious than before.
