1) 概略 / Outline
行きました。
'かやぶきの里' は、京都府南丹市美山町にあり、39棟のかやぶきの
建物がある集落です。
詳細は、'かやぶきの里'は、前回のセクション(下記)で説明しています。
ここでは、主に、私達の後半の散策での写真を載せます。
美山集落内の 'ちいさな藍美術館' については、次回のセクションに
載せます。
Miyama's Thatched Village
My friends M and Izu and I visited 'Miyama's Thatched Village : Kayabuki-no-Sato'.
'Miyama's Thatched Village' is a village of 39 thatched roof buildings in Miyama-cho, Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture.
For more details, see the previous section on 'Miyama's Thatched Village', below.
Here are mainly photos from the latter half of our walk.
The 'Little Indigo Museum' in Miyama village will be featured in the next section.

| 千日紅？ ボンボンのような花です。 千日紅 (センニチコウ)でしょうか？ 千日紅が好きで、数年まえに、自宅の庭に植えました。 写真のように生い茂ることはなく、今は、姿がなくなりました。 Globe Amaranth (Gomphrena Globosa)? It's a pompom-like flower. Is it Globe Amaranth (Globe Amaranth)? I love Globe Amaranth, so I planted some in my garden a few years ago. They never grew as lush as these in the photo, and now they have gone. |
かやぶきの里には、たくさんのコスモスが咲いていました。
私が幼い頃は、このような風景を時々見ましたが、最近はほとんど見ていません。
'野原' と呼ばれる場所が住宅地近くにないですしね。
There were many cosmos flowers blooming in Miyama's Thatched Village.
I sometimes used to see scenes like this when I was a child,
but I hardly ever see them these days.
There are no places called 'fields' near residential areas, after all.

| お〜！と声をあげたくなってしまいます。 I can't help but exclaim, "Wow!"  自然にそこにあるだけなのに、素敵！ It's just there naturally, and it's beautiful! |

B. 犬 / Dog

| MとIzuは、ある家の飼い犬を撫でています。 私は動植物が好きで、興味も結構ありますが、 MとIzuは、私よりずっと動物が好きなように感じます。 二人とも、気軽に初めての犬に触ることができますが、 私は飼い主を知らない犬や猫を触ることができません。 M and Izu are petting a family's dog. I like animals and plants and have a lot of interest in them, but it seems to me that M and Izu like animals much more than I do. They can both easily touch a dog they've never met before, but I can't touch a dog or cat whose owner I don't know. |
C. 鎌倉神社 / Kamakura Shrine
下記、'かやぶきの里・散策マップ: ★(➍鎌倉神社)より'
"勝山姓の氏神、戦いの守護神、製鉄の神様。
例祭は10月15日。
境内にあがると、高台からかやぶきの里を一望できる。"
下記、鎌倉神社について: ★
"北村の東北の山麓に鎮座します。
北村三苗社の一つで、勝山氏の先祖源末友を勝山大神として祀る祖霊社です。
知井村十苗十社の一つである勝山氏の祖霊社は昔は南村にあり、勝山神社と言ったさうです。
この鎌倉神社はそれが遷移され、社名も変つたものと思はれます。
ちなみに、同じく南にあつた知井村十苗十社の一つ林神社（林氏の
先祖源末之が祀られてゐる）の所在は不明です。"
集落の教科書 →★
一般的な神様をでなく、1つの家族(勝山家)の神様を祀っているのですね。
北集落 (かやぶきの里)には、'勝山さん' がたくさん住んでる (★) ようなので、この方達の守護神であり、この方達が維持していると推測します。
私達がここを訪ねたのは、2022年10月17日でした。
2日前に、例祭が行われたばかりだったのです。

Below is from the 'Miyama's Thatched Village Walking Map: ★ (➍Kamakura Shrine)'

"The guardian deity of the Katsuyama Family, the guardian deity of Battle, and the God of Ironworking.
The annual festival is held on 15th of October.
When you go up to the shrine grounds, you can get a panoramic
view of Miyama's Thatched Village from the high ground."
It does not enshrine a general God, but the God of one family,
(the Katsuyama family).
There are many 'Katsuyama' living in the northern settlement (Miyama's Thatched Village), so I assume that this God is their guardian deity and that they are the ones who maintain it.
There seem to be many 'Katsuyamas' living in this village, so this must be their guardian deity.
We visited here on 17th of October, 2022.
The annual festival had just been held two days prior.

D. 異月山普明寺
Igetuszan Fumyou-ji Temple

| 異月山普明寺 集落へ入る前に、異月山普明寺 (イゲツザン フミョウジ)の 寺標がありました。 前回のセクション参照。 ⑪ 2022年10月17日 関西旅行 - b) かやぶきの里 / Kansai Trip - Miyama's Thatched Village , 16th of October, 2022 寺そのものは、集落の上の方にあります。 Igetszan Fumyou-ji Temple Before entering the village, there was a sign for Igetszan Fumyou-ji Temple. See previous section. The temple itself is located at the top of the village.  |
Igetuszan Fumyou-ji Temple
Below is from the 'Miyama's Thatched Village Walking Map : ★
(❷ Fumyou-ji Temple)'. (Translated by me)
"The temple, which was on the verge of ruin, was rebuilt by Kanken Fumyoji Kokushi, but it was burned again and rebuilt by Wakasa Myotokuji Temple in 1568, becoming a Soto sect temple.
The principal image of the temple, the Bodhisattva Kannon, is beautiful and is deeply revered."
We did not visit there, I just photograph around the entrance.
The building looks like an ordinary house, and if it weren't for the explanatory sign and the name of the temple carved into the gatepost, it would be hard to realise it was a temple.
It has a natural appearance and seems to blend in with the village.

| 寺の歴史 創建年は不明。 3度の火事にあいつつも、違う方面(名僧?)によって、 再建されています。宗派も変化しています。 本尊・観世音菩薩 (カンゼオンボサツ) 像は、 3度とも運び出されています。 現在、本尊は、子安観音として信仰されています。 "多数ある観音菩薩のひとつ、子安観音は、子授け、安産と 子育てを助けてくれる観音様です。" (JTA Sightseeing Databaseより) 過疎になりがちな土地柄、ここが子安観音の信仰を 受けるのは納得がゆきます。 History of the Temple The year of founding is unknown. Despite being burned down three times, it has been rebuilt by different people (famous monks?). The sect has also changed. has been saved each of the three times. Currently, the principal image is worshipped as the Koyasu Kannon. According to JTA Sightseeing Database, "One of the many forms of Kannon, the goddess of mercy, Koyasu Kannon grants fertility and safe delivery, and assists with childrearing. " This village is prone to depopulation, it is understandable that here, Koyasu Kannon is a popular destination. |

巨木 大きな木で、目が惹かれます。 樹齢四百年以上のトチノキ(栃の木)だそうです。 Giant Tree It's a big tree that really catches my eye. It's a Japanese horse chestnut (Tochinoki: 栃の木) that's over 400 years old.  |
トチノキと栗の木は似ていますが、違う木です。
トチノキの実(栃の実)は食べられませんが、栗は食べられます。
正確に言えば、トチノキの実は手間をかければ、食べられるそうです。
Horse chestnut trees and sweet chestnut trees look similar, but they are different trees.
Horse chestnut fruits are inedible, but sweet chestnuts are edible.
To be precise, horse chestnut fruits are edible if you take the time to prepare them.

| ブランコ 木材を使用しているブランコをとっても久しぶりに見ました。 左に放水銃の格納庫 (小さな小屋) が見えます。 Swing It's been a long time since I've seen a swing made using wood. On the left you can see a 'small hut', which is a storage box for a water cannon. |

| 稲荷神社の鳥居 鳥居の撮影だけしました。 散策マップでは、'❶稲荷神社' として紹介されていますが、 私達は、散策の最後に近い所で見ました。 Torii Gate of Inari Shrine I only took a photo of the torii gate. On the walking map, it is listed as '❶ Inari Shrine', we saw it near the end of our walk. |

| カマドウマ 幼い頃、カマドウマ (竈馬)を見たように思いますが、 長い間見ていませんでした。 '姿や体色、飛び跳ねるさまが馬を連想させ、古い日本家屋では 竈(カマド)の周辺などによく見られたことからこの名前が付いた' と、今になって知りました。 そういえば、名前も知りませんでした。 Rhaphidophoridae I think I saw a Rhaphidophoridae (Kamadouma) when I was a child, but I hadn't seen one for a long time. I only just found out that 'it got its name from the fact that its appearance, body colour, and the way it jumps around are reminiscent of a horse, and it was often seen around the hearth (kamado) in old Japanese houses'. Come to think of it, I didn't even know the name. |

3) 駐車場で / From Carpark

| 美山川 駐車場に戻ってきました。 駐車場脇を流れるのは、美山川です。 美山川は、由良川 (ユラガワ) の上流域にあたります。Miyama River We've returned to a carpark. The Miyama River flows next to the carpark. The Miyama River is located in the upper reaches of the Yura River. |

| 美山川 : 由良川 由良川は、鮎 (アユ) の釣り場として有名なのだそうです。 鮎は、'清流の女王'と呼ばれるそうで、 川が綺麗であることの証ですね。 Miyama River : Yura River The Yura River is apparently famous as a fishing spot for sweetfish (ayu). Sweetfish are called the 'Queen of Clear Streams,' and are proof that the river is clean. |
ここを去る前に、名残惜しくてビデオで撮影しました。
1つめのビデオには、違うグループの観光客の方の話 (声) が入ってしまっているので、ここにお見せするのを躊躇しました。
けれども、ビデオ撮影のものがほとんどないので、ここに載せることにしました。
Before leaving, I was reluctant to leave, so I took videos.
I hesitated to show the first video here because it contains the voices of a different group of tourists.
However, since I have very few video recordings, I decided to post them here.
次のセクションは、'ちいさな藍美術館' についてです。
