1) たんぽぽ公園へ / Towards Dandelion Park
今日の散策は、"たんぽぽ公園"が目的です。
1月に鎌倉山散策をした際、道路脇に "たんぽぽ公園"の表示を見つけました。
1月の散策は下記。
"たんぽぽ公園"へ続く枝道は、階段になっており、惹かれました。
その時は、夫Rが目指す目的の方角とずれてしまうため、'次回に' と思い、行きませんでした。
そして、今日が '次回' の日でした。

Towards Dandelion Park
Our purpose of today's walk was "Dandelion Park".
When we took a walk in Kamakurayama in January, I found a sign for "Dandelion Park" on the side of the main road.
About a Walk in January, below.
The branch path leading to "Dandelion Park" are steps, and I was attracted to it.
At that time, the path deviated from my husband R's aiming direction, we didn't go, I thought 'next time'.
And today was the 'next time'.

| とても珍しいことに、この庭は柵や壁で囲うことなく 道路に面しています。 たくさんのクリスマズローズがあり、目が止まります。 この庭の植栽は、野草と観賞用の花が素敵に ミックスされています。 このお宅の建物のデザインも私大好きです。 It is very unusual this garden faces the road without being fenced or walled. There are a lot of Christmas Roses and they catch my eye. The planting in this garden is a lovely mix of wildflowers and ornamental flowers. I also love the design of this house building.    |

3) 公園？ / Park?

| 到着 公園の一部かと思ったら、この先には公園がありません。 ということは、ここがたんぽぽ公園? え〜〜〜っ！ ここは、この砂場は一体誰が使うのでしょう？ この砂場は堅そう.... 元、砂場と言うべきでしょうか？ Arrival I thought here was a part of the Park, although there's no park beyond. Does that mean that this is Dandelion Park? Wha~~t! Who uses here or the sandpit? This sandpit looks rough .... should I call it a former sandpit? |
以前Rが
「日本は、小さな(チッポケな)スペースでも公園と呼ぶ。
僕たちの国では、公園といえば、リッチモンド・パークとかリージェント・パークだからね〜...」
と自慢げに(?)言っていたことが思い出されます....。

「でも国土は日本の方が広いのじゃ〜！」
これは私の心の中の声です。
考えてみると、素晴らしいネーミングです。
たんぽぽは、道ばたや野原、草原に多いし、小さな場所、過酷な環境でも咲きます。
名前の響きも悪くない...。
ここも道端の延長と考えると、その名前はぴったりなのです。
でも私は2度とここには来ないとは思いますが、目的によっては、近道にあるのかもしれません。

Park?
I remember R said proudly (?) before,
"In Japan, even a small space is called a park.
In our country, parks are Richmond Park and Regent's Park ... "
[Richmond Park is about 995 ha.
Regent's Park is about 166 ha]
"But Japan is larger than Britain!"
This is a voice in my mind.
Come to think of it, 'Dandelion Park' is a great naming.
Dandelions are abundant in roadsides, fields and grasslands, and can bloom in small places and in harsh environments.
The sound of the name is not bad ...
Considering that here is also an extension of the roadside, the name is perfect.
I don't think I'll ever come here again, however, depending on the purpose, it may be a shortcut.

| どこに出る？ "公園" の先に 'けもの道' のような道があります。 先に進んでみることにしました。 Rは黙ってついてきます。 Where does this path lead? There is a path like a 'Desire Path' beyond the "Park". I decided to move on. R follows silently. |
3) 新たな目的へ / To New Purpose

| 公道？ 明るい道に出ました。 公道なのか、私道なのか、判断がつきません。 Public Path? We went on a bright path. I can't tell if it's a public path or a private path.  来た道を見るとこんな感じ。 何も知らずに、ここに足を踏み入れることはできないと思います。 Looking at the way we came, it looks like this. I don't think people can go here without knowing anything. |
最初の目的の "たんぽぽ公園" に、正直、ガッカリはしたものの、
その経験は面白く感じました。
鎌倉山散策を始めて、自分が知らなかった鎌倉山を知り、Rが散策することに理解と共感もするのです。
To be honest, I was disappointed with the original purpose of "Dandelion Park", but I found the experience interesting.
When I started walking around Kamakurayama, I found out about things in Kamakurayama, which I didn't know, and I understand and sympathize with R taking walks around.

| 大きなサボテンはこの坂を上がった右手にあります。 公園への 'けもの道' は左手です。 私が撮影している場所は、バス通りと夫婦池 (メイオトイケ)を 結ぶ道です。 The big cactus is on the right hand side up this hill. The 'Desire Path' to the park is on your left. The place I'm photographing from is the road that connects Bus Street and Meoto-ike : Married Couples Pond. |
Rには次の目標の道があり、実は私も同じ道を思っていました。
とにかく、私達はバス通りに戻りました。
R had his next path aim, and I was actually thinking of the same path.
Anyway, we went back to the bus street.
