1) 新しいパン屋さん / New Bakery
私と夫Rは、久しぶりに、東京の谷中 (ヤナカ) へ出かけました。
谷中は、寺町でお寺が多く古い街並みが残っています。
江戸時代 (1603 - 1868) から庶民の行楽地として親しまれてきました。
最近は、若年層にも人気になっているようで、私が白山 (ハクサン/ 文京区) に住んでいた頃より、行き交う人の年齢層が若くなったように感じます。
古くからのお店に加え、若い人向きのお店、カフェなどが増えたようです。
友人のグループ展は、藍染大通りの "ギャラリーTen" で開催されていました。

ギャラリーのあと、藍染大通りにある、お洒落なパン屋さん:
"レジニエ / Les Initiés" を見つけました。
"レジニエ" は、この10月に開店したばかりのようでした。
お店の名前の "レジニエ / Les Initiés" は、オーナーさんの好きなワインの名前を付けたと彼から聞きました。

New Bakery
I and my husband R went to Yanaka, Tokyo for the first time in a long time.
The purpose of the day was to go to a group exhibition of friends in Yanaka and a Japanese paper shop, "Tanaka Washi Shop" : ★ in Asakusa.
In Yanaka, there are many temples, it is called Teramachi : Temple Town, and the old streets have been kept.
The cherry blossoms of Yanaka Cemetery and Yanaka Ginza are famous.
It has been popular as a resort for the common people since the Edo period (1603 - 1868) .
Recently, it seems to be popular with young people, and I feel that the age group of people passing by is younger than when I lived in Hakusan, Bunkyō -ku.
In addition to the old shops, it seems that the number of shops and cafes for young people has increased.
A group exhibition of my friends was being held in "Gallery Ten" on Aizome Street.
About the Exhibition, below.
After the gallery, we found a stylish bakery, "Les Initiés" : on the Street.
"Les Initiés" seemed to have newly opened in this October.
I heard from the owner that the "Les Initiés" was named after his favourite wine.

She is the winner of the '2017, Baguette Tradition Competition' in France : the Baguette Tradition Competition is a part of the bread festival in Paris, and 2017 was the 4th. Chef Sarusawa was both the first Japanese and the first woman to win that competition. Later I found out that she was supervising this bakery. |

バゲット・トラディション・コンクールは全国大会なので、違うコンクールです。
Supplement ;
There is also a baguette competition that has been limited to the French capital, Paris since 1994 : "Concours de la meilleure baguette de Paris", but the Baguette Tradition Competition is a national competition, so it is a different competition.

私達がお店に入った時には、かなり売れてしまっていました。
Rの好みのものを少量買いました。
味はどうだったのでしょうか？
Rは覚えていますか？... 詳しくは覚えていないけれど、美味しかった！そうです。
By the time we entered the Bakery, they had sold quite a bit.
We bought a small number of R's favourites.
How was the taste?
Do you remember R?....He doesn't remember the detail, but 'they were delicious!' he said.
2) カフェ バー / Cafe Bar
藍染大通りのカフェ バー、Bon Fire (ボン ファイヤー : 焚き火)に
入りました。
初めてのお店です。
お店の名前と雰囲気がよかったのとビールが飲めるので選びました。
コーヒー、ビール、おつまみ、スィーツ....と色々あります。

We entered 'Bon Fire', a cafe bar on Aizome Street.
This was our first cafe.
We chose here because the name and atmosphere were good and we could drink beer.
There are coffee, beer, snacks, sweets .... various.

店内 / Inside 古い雰囲気が生かされています。 気取らず、自然な感じがリラックスさせてくれます。 スタッフの方も親切でした。 この周辺にきて、ビールが飲みたくなったら、 また行きたいです。 The old atmosphere is kept well. Unpretentious and natural feeling made me relax. The staff were kind. If I come to this area and want to drink beer, I want to go here again. |

| いつものように、私はビールを飲みました。 Rはカフェラテとスコーンを注文しました。 Rは運転する必要はないけれど、 彼にとってはまだアルコールは早い時間のようでした。 ここが鎌倉でしたらビールを飲んだかもしれません。 As usual, I drank beer. R ordered a latte and a piece of scone. R didn't have to drive, but alcohol still seemed too early for him. If here was Kamakura, he might have had a beer. |
谷中から、浅草の田中和紙店へ行く途中に、湯島天神がありました。
Rはまだ行ったことがなかったので、彼を湯島天神へ連れて行きました。
次のセクションは湯島天神についてです。
There was a shrine, Yushima Tenman-gū on the way from Yanaka to Tanaka Washi Shop in Asakusa.
R hadn't been to the shrine yet, so I took him there.
The next section is about Yushima Tenman-gū.
