A. 'スウェーデンで最初の都市' / 'Sweden's First City'
その歴史は、13世紀半ばに築かれたストックホルムよりも古いのです。
その名前が、シグトゥーナ自治体と同じなのは、シグトゥーナが、'スウェーデンで
最初の都市' として創設されたからです。

The Sigtuna (village) is in the town of Märsta,
the headquarters of the Sigtuna municipality. Is ancient Sigtuna a city and now a village?
I suppose it was also the name of the municipality, because that's too bad of it.

'Sweden's First City'
Sigtuna is a small town (village) in the north of Stockholm, but it has the same name as the Sigtuna municipality, because Sigtuna was founded as 'Sweden's first city'.
Its history is older than that of the mid-13th century Stockholm.
Sigtuna was founded around 980 by
the Swedish King, Eric the Victorious (Eric VI / c. 956 - 995 / reign : 970 - 995).

Eric VI is considered the first King of Sweden.
At Uppsala in 980 Eric VI defeated
the Danish King, Sweyn Forkbeard (960 - 1014 / reign : 985 - 1014),
who with his Vikings had regularly landed on Swedish land, and Eric VI was called the Victorious King.

シグトゥーナの地図
スカルヴェン湾は、メーラレン湖に含まれます。
私と夫Rは、半分ほどのルートを回りました。
私の目的は、ルーン石碑を見ることでした。
最後にシグトゥーナ博物館に行きました。

The red dotted line is the recommended walking route.
There are churches, ruins and Runestones.
To the south is Skarve Bay.
The Bay is a part of Lake Mälaren.
I and my husband R went around half the route.
My purpose was to see Runestones.
Lastly, we visited Sigtuna Museum.

B. アクセス / Access
シグチューナは、アーランダ国際空港からは車で約20分ほどの距離、ストックホルム市内からは電車、バスで1時間ほどです。
市内からシグチューナへは、ローカル電車 (Stockholm commuter rail / Stockholms pendeltåg / ペンデルトーグ) でマーシュタ駅 / Märsta station ( 41 42 )へ行き、バス (570) に乗り換え、シグトゥーナ・バス・ステーション(Sigtuna busstation) へ行きます。
ローカル電車は、アーランダ国際空港方面と、ウプラス・ヴァース駅 (Upplands Väsby station) からマーシュタ駅方面に別れます。
(ウプラス・ヴァース駅からアーランダ国際空港へは特別料金が加算されます）
市内から、アーランダ国際空港方面に乗った場合は、ウプラス・ヴァースビ駅でマーシュタ駅行きに乗り換えます。

市内からシグチューナへは、ローカル電車 (Stockholm commuter rail / Stockholms pendeltåg / ペンデルトーグ) でマーシュタ駅 / Märsta station ( 41 42 )へ行き、バス (570) に乗り換え、シグトゥーナ・バス・ステーション(Sigtuna busstation) へ行きます。
ローカル電車は、アーランダ国際空港方面と、ウプラス・ヴァース駅 (Upplands Väsby station) からマーシュタ駅方面に別れます。

マーシュタ駅 / Märsta station ( 41 42 )で下車。
ちなみにこの駅からバス(579)でアーランダ国際空港へゆくことができます。
搭乗口へのアクセスは、空港バス停の方が電車のホームよりも非常に近く、
特別チャージ料金もありません。

By the way, you can take the bus (579)
from this station to Arlanda International Airport.
Access to the boarding gate is much closer at the airport bus stop than at the train platform and there is no special charge.

Sigtuna is about 20 minutes drive from Arlanda International Airport and 1 hour by train or bus from Stockholm.
From Stockholm to Sigtuna, take the local train (Stockholm commuter rail /
Stockholms pendeltåg) to Märsta station ( 41 42 ), then change to bus (570) to Sigtuna bus station (Sigtuna busstation).

私達が乗車した電車は、アーランダ国際空港行きだったので、 ウプラス・ヴァースビ駅で一度降り、同じホームでマーシュタ駅を待ちました。 Upplands Väsby Station
The train we got on was for Arlanda International Airport, so we got off at Upplands Väsby station once and waited for Märsta station at the same platform.

ストラガタン通り
シグトゥーナ・バス・ステーション (Sigtuna busstation) に到着後、
町のメイン・ストリートであるストラガタン通り / Stora Gatan Street
を歩きました。
おそらく、ほとんどの観光客はそのようにするはずです。

After arriving at Sigtuna bus station (Sigtuna busstation),
we walked along the town's main street, Stora Gatan Street.
Perhaps most tourists should do so.
ストラガタン通り
パステルカラーの可愛い色の家々が続きます。 ほとんどは、お店です。 この通りは、1000年前と同じ広さだそうです！ スウェーデンで最も古い保存された通りです。 Stora Gatan Street There are houses with pastel colours. Most are shops. This street is the same size as 1,000 years ago! It is the oldest preserved street in Sweden. 
ファールン・レッドの家
ファールン・レッド / Falun red の家もあります。
ファールン・レッドは、スウェーデン、または北欧で
よく見られる赤い家の色です。
ダーラナ地方のファールンにある鉱山に由来しています。
エストニアでは、'スウェーデンの赤' とも呼ばれます。
Falun Red House
There is also a Falun red house.
Falun red is a red house colour commonly found in Sweden or Northern Europe.
It originates from a mine in Falun, Dalarna.
In Estonia, Falun red is known as Rootsi punane "Swedish red".

| ヴァイキングのお店 私達が通った時には、閉まっていました。 Viking Shop It was closed when we passed.  他のお店もほとんどが開店前でした。 現在はアスファルですが11世紀頃には木の舗装道路でした。 Most of the other shops were not yet open. Today it is asphalt, but it was a wooden paved road around the 11th century.

18世紀に建てられたSigtunaRådhusは、スウェーデンで最も小さな市庁舎です おそらくヨーロッパでもです。 1737年から1744年の間にエリックキルマン市長 (? -?) が 古い建物から、現在の建物に建て替えました。 古い建物の塔が使用されています。 現在は、シグチューナ市庁舎はシグチューナ博物館の一部です。

Sigtuna Rådhus, built in the 18th century,
is the smallest town hall in Sweden – maybe even in Europe!
Between 1737 and 1744, the mayor Eric Kihlman (? -?) rebuilt
the old building into the current one.
The tower of the old building is used.

ですが、本当に可愛い建物です。
現在は、結婚式にも使用されるようです。
Do I only know the word, 'Lovely'!
However, it is a really lovely building.
Currently, it seems to be used for weddings.

私達が訪ねた時は閉館していました。 7月1日から9月1日まで開いていました。 この日は、9月3日！
Unfortunately....
It was closed when we visited.
It was open from July 1st to September 1st.
This day was September 3rd!

18世紀の建物で、居酒屋や個人住宅に使用されていました。
現在はシグトゥーナ観光案内所になっています。 北欧デザインを感じます。 綺麗な観光案内所でしたし、スタッフの方も親切でした。 It was an 18th century building and was used for a tavern and a private residence. Today, here is the Sigtuna Tourist Office. I feel Nordic design. Here was a beautiful tourist office and also the staff was kind. |

散策の帰路に寄ったら何か買ったかもしれませんが
あまりにもスタート地点であったので、無料の地図だけいただいて 何も買いませんでした。 We might have bought something if we went there on the way back from our walk,
but since it was the starting point, we received only a free map
and did not buy anything. 
地図は、とても役立ちました。

この時は、私達は湾へは行きませんでした。 Beyond this, you will find Skarve Bay on Lake Mälaren. At this time we didn't go to the bay. |

(1869 - 1940) は、スウェーデンの古典哲学者、教授、国会議員でした。
彼はこの家で生まれました。
Vihelm Lundstörm (1869 - 1940) was a Swedish classical philologist,
professor and member of parliament.
He was born in this house.

お菓子屋さん : Augusta Jansson Karamellfabrik
オーガスタ・ヤンソン / Augusta Jansson（1859–1932）は、 スウェーデンの成功した起業家でした。 オーガスタ・ヤンソンズ・カラメル工場/ Augusta Jansson Karamellfabrikは、 1882年に彼女が エステルマルム地区 (Östermalm)で 菓子の製造と販売を始めたときに始まりました。 彼女の秘密のレシピと共に、今日もここで営業されています。

Augusta Jansson (1859 - 1932) was a successful Swedish entrepreneur.
Augusta Jansson Karamellfabrik started in 1882 when she started making
and selling confectionery in the Östermalm area.
It's still open here today, along with her secret recipe.
 古そうな窯(暖炉) が気になって撮影しました。 スウェーデンで最も古いお菓子屋さんの1つであることを知ったのは随分後の話。 I was interested in this old kiln (fireplace) and took photographs. Much later I found out that the shop is one of Sweden's oldest sweet shops.  |

At this point, we turned back and walked along the route to see the Runestones.

実は、ストラガタン通り散策の初めの頃に、 カフェへ行っていました。
オーガスタ・ヤンソンのお菓子屋さんの建物にカフェの案内板があります。 散策前に、彼に 'アメ' を与えなければなりません。 この建物は、現在、 シグトゥーナ 博物館の一部で、 元々は年頃からブルジョワ様式の家でした。
Actually, we visited a cafe at the beginning of our walk on Stora Gatan Street.
There is a cafe information board in Augusta Jansson Karamellfabrik.
Before walking, I must give someone 'sweets'.
