キッダーミンスター駅 / Kidderminster Railway Station を結んでいます。
このセクションでは、、ハイリー駅 / Highley Railway Staion にある、蒸気機関車博物館 / "Engine House / エンジン・ハウス : ★" を訪ねた時のことを載せます。
エンジン・ハウスは、2008年3月に開館し、退職した(?)機関車、貨車、客車を所蔵しています。
展示にはさまざまな鉄道関係の資料とセバーン谷鉄道に関する映画が含まれます。
レストラン、ショップ、ピクニックエリアがあります。

エンジン・ハウス
ハイリー駅から200ヤード(約183m）の場所にあり、
ハイリー炭鉱の貨物の積み下ろし場跡にあります。
ハイリー炭鉱については前回のセクションで書いています(下記)。
Engine House
It is situated approximately 200 yards from Highley Station,
on
the site of the former sidings of Highley Colliery.

Engine House
I had a day trip by steam locomotives of "Severn Valley Railway : ★" with our friends J&S, my husband R.
The Severn Valley Railway is a heritage line in Shropshire and Worcestershire, and connects Bridgnorth Railway Station to Kidderminster Railway Station.
This section describes a visit to the "Engine House : ★" at Highley Railway Staion.
Opened in March 2008, it houses some locomotives, wagons and coaches.
The exhibition includes various railway materials and films on the Severn Valley Railway.
There are a restaurant, gift shop and picnic area.
In "2) Treasure and materials", I show you photographs of railway related materials, and in the next section : ⓳-C (below) photographs of steam locomotives, wagons, etc.

私は蒸気機関車や鉄道関連の色々なものが好きですが、鉄道マニア(鉄道ファン)ではありません。
鉄道マニアの方々のように詳しくもないし、彼らほどの情熱もないと自覚しています。
私は蒸気機関車と同じような温度で飛行機や船なども好きです。
これらへの興味の始まりは絵本、
バージニア・リー・バートン / Virginia Lee Burton (1909 - 1968) の
『いたずらきかんしゃ ちゅうちゅう』

今の子供達なら、トーマスの世界にあたるのかもしれません。

Treasures and materials
I like steam locomotives and railway related things, but I'm not a railway enthusiast.
I don't know about railway as much as railway enthusiasts, and I realize that I don't have the passion as much as they do.
I like aeroplanes and ships similarly to steam locomotives.
Now, I guess that my interest in these things began with picture books,
"Kikansha Yaemon" (Steam Locomotive Yaemon or Tank Yaemon in Japanese)
[1959 / Iwanami Shoten / Story : Hiroyuki Agawa (1920 -2015)
Picture : Fuyuhiko Okabe (1922 -2005)],

and
picture books by Virginia Lee Burton (1909-1968), below.

Eventually, Yaemon is scheduled to be dismantled.
However, a curator come across there who said
'Yaemon is very unusual old style and only two or three in Japan, please pass him to me'.
Children polished him and he would be saved in a Museum"

I think they show the process of transporting vehicles
from the factory in London to the Severn Valley Railway.
I'm guessing because I didn't read enough of the details.

もちろん、本物の蒸気機関車も多数！！！

'歴史'と言ってしまうとちょっと引くけれど、'時間の旅 / Journey through Time'
というタイトルにすると私は、この中へ入って行く気がします。
もっと英語ができたら理解も深まるのでしょうけれど
残念ながら、現場でさっと理解できるほどの英語力が私にはありません。

If you say 'history', it's a bit off, but if you call it 'Journey through Time',
I would feel like going into it.

この場所の近くに動画が上映されていて
座席が客車の座席のように作られていました。
汽車に乗って映像を見ているように設定されているように思います。
私は座席に腰をおろし映像は見ましたが、映像を楽しむほどの余裕がなく、
席についたのは一瞬のことでした。
