1) 野外博物館 合掌造り民家園
Open-air Museum of "Gasshozukuri Minkaen"
1955年頃 (昭和30年代)、次々と貴重な合掌造りの民家が移築、および離村により失われました。
1968 (昭和43年)、加須良(カズラ) 地区の住民が集団離村した際、歴史民俗資産の散逸を惜しんで白川村が3戸の合掌造りを譲り受け、現在の場所に移築しました。
以後、数年かけて村内各地の合掌家屋を当地に移転し、『白川郷合掌村』として1971年に開設されました。
その後、名称を複数回変え、現在の "合掌造り民家園"に至ります。

白川郷は、岐阜県内の庄川 (ショウガワ) 流域の呼び名です。
Shirakawa-gō is the common name of the Shō River (Shogawa) basin in Gifu Prefecture.

Open-air Museum of "Gasshozukuri Minkaen"
The
Museum is an open-air museum which was made by relocating and
preserving the 'Gasshozukuri' houses which are no longer used in
Shirakawa Village in Ōno District, Gifu Prefecture.
Around
1955 (30 's Shōwa Period), precious houses were successively
relocated and lost from the village.
When
the residents of Kazura District left Shirakawa village in 1968 (43 Shōwa Period), the Village people regretted the dissipation of
historical folk assets and were given three houses relocated to
the current Museum.
After
a few years various houses from different villages were relocated to here and they opened as "Shirakawa-gō Gasshozukuri Village" in 1971.
After
that, it's name was changed several times and is now called "Gasshozukuri Minkaen".
2) 夜景 / Night Views
白川郷へは、2013年5月にも行っていますが、今回は雪景色でなおかつ、夜景を見るのがメインの目的です。
前回の白川郷については下記。
実は、ツアーに参加するまで、私はずっと一般住宅地での夜景だあると信じていました。
民家園での夜景を知って、多少、気落ちしました。
それでも、実際、民家園での夜景を見たら、綺麗で、満足しました。

We visited Shirakawa-gō in May 2013, though this time our main purpose was snow scenes and seeing the night views.
Actually, until I joined the tour, I believed that it was a night view in the general residential area.
I felt somewhat disappointed, knowing the night scenery was only in the Museum of "Gasshozukuri Minkaen".
Still, indeed, when I saw the night views in the Museum, it was beautiful, I was satisfied.

| ここで、温かなお汁粉と甘酒をいただきました。 美味しかった~! Here we had a cup of hot Shiruko and Amazake. There were goo~d! 
Shiruko is a traditional Japanese dessert and is
a sweet porridge of azuki beans boiled and crushed, served in a bowl.
Amazake is a traditional sweet, low- or non-alcohol (depending on recipes) Japanese drink made from fermented rice.
