1) デューン / Dune
山陰旅行で'鳥取砂丘'へ行きました。(下記)
砂漠と砂丘の違いの説明はここで→★
'デューン'という音の響きで思い出したのが映画、"デューン砂の惑星"(1984)です。
ハルコネン男爵/ Baron Vladimir Harkonnen が風船のようにポワーンと部屋にあがり笑い声をあげる場面でした。
世間的にはスティング (1951 -) が出ていることが評判になったように思います。

また、『風の谷のナウシカ』(1984) に出て来た王蟲(オーム) を見たときには、これは"デューン砂の惑星"の砂虫 (サンドワーム / Sand Worm) をまねたのでは？と思いました。
そう思うのは、私だけでなく、この方も思っていたようです。→★
巨大芋虫かミミズかというその外見だけでなく、原作のその役割が神的存在であったり(Sand Worm)であったり、知的生物 (王蟲)であったりするからではないかと思います。

Dune
I went to 'Tottori Dunes' in the Sanin Trip. (below)
I said to R 'Tottori Desert', however, later I found out it is 'Tottori Dunes'.
Here, the difference between Desert and Dune→★ in English.
I was impressed in the film that Kyle MacLachlan as the main character, Paul Atreides who is innocent, really seems to be a prince (photograph ♥︎ in 3) Record) and by a scene in which a bad role, grotesque Baron Vladimir Harkonnen looks like a balloon and floats up and then he let out a laugh.
Maybe it was for publicity that Sting (1951 -) is in the film.
Moreover, when I saw the film "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984)" and the character Ohm, I thought they imitated Sand Worm in "Dune".
I guess it was not only their appearance but also their original role which are like a God (Sand Worm) or Intellectual Creature (Ohm).

2) 原作と映画 / Original and Film
私にとっては魅力的な映画ですが、何度も見る気にはなれない映画でもあります。
(デヴィッド•リンチ、カイル•マクラクランとくれば、米国のドラマ、
ツイン•ピークス (1990 -1991) が有名かもしれませんね。)
『デューン』(1965) シリーズの一つ、私は読んでいません。
原作をお読みになった方々の映画に対する感想から推測するに、『指輪物語』を映画化 ("The Lord of the Rings") したら、ああなってしまった...というのと似ているのかも？と思いました。
それはあながち悪いことではないと思います。
文字世界の良さはすべてを映像にはおきかえられなし、その逆も同様。
それぞれの媒体の良さと魅力があるのは素敵な事でしょう？
私は指輪の本も映画も好きです。
まあ、あまりにも原作がねじまげられてしまっては、
「その原作 (作品) を使ってくれるな!」
とその作者も愛読者 も思うでしょうけど...、
原作『ゲド戦記』(アーシュラ•K•ルグイン, 1929 -) - アニメ映画 "ゲド戦記" (2006)のように。

鳥取砂丘の最も高い所は47mですが、オレゴン砂丘は150m!

Original and Film
David Lynch (1946 -) was the director so a few scenes let me look away.
For me, the film is attractive although I would not watch it many times.
(Generally speaking, David Lynch and Kyle MacLachlan might be better known for an American TV drama series, "Twin Peaks" (1990 -91).)
I guess the difference is similar to a novel series "Lord of the Rings" (1954 - 1955) by J.R.R. Tolkien (1892 - 1973) and the film series (2001 - 2003).
I think it is not so bad.
All good points in the character world cannot be represented by the visual and the opposite is similar.
It is wonderful that each medium has own attractions and merits.
I like both "Lord of the Rings".
Well, if an original was very twisted, the author and the readers would say do not use it for your film....an example for me, a novel series: "Earthsea"(1964 -1972, for me / by Ursula Le Guin, 1929 -) and an animated film "Tales from Earthsea" (2006).
3) レコード / Record
"デューン砂の惑星"の映画も小説も長いので、今の私にはちょっと無理、で、サウンドトラックにしました。
鎌倉図書館でレコードを借りました。
RがCDよりもレコード派なので、我家では今時レコードが聞けるのです。

| 台詞も少し入っていて、音楽もスペースオペラだな〜と感じます。 私が好きな音楽がことごとく嫌いなRがこのレコードは結構好きなようで、 一緒に聞くことができました。 この音楽を聞きながら、個展のための陶芸を始める事になり、嬉しい！ ところで、今気がついたのですが、'ナウシカ'のコスチュームも デューンと似ています...よね？ The record includes some speeches and the music really sounds 'Space Opera'! Most of the music I like R hates, however, he likes this so we could listen together. While I listened to the music, I started making ceramics for my exhibition, I was pleased! By the way, now I realized Nausicaä's costume is similar to "Dune"s', isn't it?  あっ！この音楽は"TOTO" です。 You tube : ★ でも聞くことはできますが、曲は頻繁に切れますし、 音もレコードとはかなり違う印象です。 でも、レコードは図書館に返すので、いつでも聞けませんが、 You Tubeではいつでも聞けますものね。 因に英語ですが映画も見られます。→★ Oh! Yes! The music is by "TOTO". We can listen to the soundtrack by You tube : ★ , although each music excerpt is very short so it is not comfortable, and the sound seems to be quite different from the record. However, I must return the record to Kamakura Library, so I could not listen always, although youtube is anytime, isn't it? By the way you can see the film, too. →★ |
