❸世田谷文学館 - 常設展示とホール / Setagaya Literature Museum- Permanent Exhibit and Hall

1) 常設展示 / Permanent Exhibition

A. 世田谷区 / Setagaya-ku

鎌倉も、たくさんの作家が住んだところですが、世田谷も多くの作家が住んでいました。

世田谷区は今でこそ、都会ですし、高級住宅街のイメージがありますが、長らく世田ヶ谷村であり、1943年に世田谷区になりました。

武蔵野の地の牧歌的な風景が残る頃に、多くの作家が好んで住んだのでしょう。

このようなことがわかる常設展示になっていたと思います。

現在、鎌倉も世田谷も、小説家、詩人が好きかどうか、多くが住んでいるかどうか、私には判断がつきません。


Setagaya-ku

Many authors lived in Kamakura, Setagaya-ku as well. 

Now they say Setagaya-ku is urban and has the image of an upper-class residential area, although there had been a Setagaya village, 
it became Setagaya-ku in Tokyo in 1943. 

When the area was called Musashino, with peaceful views, many authors loved and chose to live there.

I think I understand this from their permanent exhibition. 

Today, I do not know if many novelists and poets like or live in Kamakura or in Setagaya-ku.

ここは図書館内も撮影禁止。

本の内部の撮影ならわかるけれど、室内もだめだなんて、

ちょっといきすぎかな？と思いました。

防犯のためでしょうか？ウ〜〜ん、都会ですね。

★The exhibition does not allow photographs★

Here, even the library does not allow photographs.

I could understand if I take photographs of books, 

although I asked her only for a photo of the room.

I feel it is too strict. Is it for prevention of crime？ 

Well, this is in an urban area, isn't it?

B. ムットーニのからくり劇場
    The Mechanism Playhouse of MUTTONI 
    
常設展示、それぞれ、おもしろく見ました。

この文学館のキャッチコピーが"文学を体験する空間"であり、展示も工夫がされています。

その中で一番、興味をもったものが"ムットーニのからくり劇場"です。

箱形の舞台に小さな人形、光、音楽、朗読を使用して、文学作品の
一場面を表現しています。

さし絵の立体版、朗読、音楽付きという印象でした。

ムットーニ(MUTTONI / 1956 -)さんというのは、日本人です。

私は、彼の名前も作品も知りませんでしたが、既に彼はとても有名な方のようで、大きな展覧会もしていらっしゃいました。

The Mechanism Playhouse of MUTTONI 


I enjoyed everything in their permanent display. 

This museum's tag line is 'Our Space is for You to Experience Literature,' and I saw their ideas and efforts in the museum.

I was most interested in 'The Mechanism Playhouse of MUTTONI'. 

It is a small box in which a scene from literature is represented with a small automaton or some automatons with lights, music and Reading aloud.

My impression is the boxes work like illustration.

MUTTONI is Japanese, and makes 'The Mechanism Playhouse of MUTTONI'.

I did not know about him before this exhibition, although he has already been popular and had big exhibitions and so on in Japan. 


C. 文学館での番組 / Program in the Museum

私が見たのは、下記の7点。
I watched the 7 works below. 

①"漂流者, 2006"  
     原作：夏目漱石(1867-1916), 『夢十夜, 「第7夜」1908』

   "The Castaway, 2006" 
    The original novel : "The Nights' Dreams",
  「The Seventh Dream」1908
    by Souseki Natsume"


②"The Spring of Song / 詩の精霊, 2006"  
    音楽：宮沢 和史 (1966-) ; 島唄 (1992)で有名になった彼ですね。

     Music: Kazufumi Miyazawa who became popular by a song: 
     'Shima Uta, 1992' 


③"Sleep / 眠り" 
     原作：村上 春樹 (1949-), 『眠り,1989』

    The original novel : "Sleep, 1989" by Haruki Murakami (1949-)


④"Alone Rendezvous, 2006" 
    原作: レイ•ブラッドベリー (1920-2012), 
  『刺青の男, 「万華鏡」1951』

    The original novel: "The Illustrated Man",「Kaleidoscope」1951
    by Ray Bradbury (1920-2012).


⑤"猫町,1994" 
     原作：萩原朔太郎(1886-1942) 『猫町,1935』

    "Cat Town / Neko Machi,1994"
     The original novel: "Neko Machi", 1935
     by Sakutaro Hagiwara (1886-1942), who usually was more popular 
     poet rather than a novelist. 


⑥"月世界探険記,1995" 
    原作 : 海野十三 : ウンノ ジュウザ またはウンノ ジュウゾウ
               (1897-1949) 
              『月世界探検記,1948』

    "Moon Adventure Note / Gessekai Tanken-ki, 1995"
    The original novel : "Gessekai Tanken-ki",1948
     by Juza (or Juzo) Unno 

下記：ウィキペディアより
'漫画家の松本零士は、宇宙戦艦ヤマトの初代艦長に沖田十三という
名を付けている。
これは松本が海野作品のファンであったためだが、これを
「じゅうぞう」と読むと思っていたため、そのまま付けた、と語っている。'


⑦"山月記,1995"
    原作：中島 敦 (1909-1942) 『山月記』1942

    "Mountains Under the Moon Night Note / Sangetsu-ki,1995"
     The original novel: "Sangetsu-ki",1942
      by Atsushi Nakajima

係の方が、電車の時間を調べてくださったり、帰宅の道を心配してくださったり、親切でした。

2) ホールでの展示 / Display in Hall


A. 催しもの / Events

ここではときどき、音楽コンサートや
ダンスショーなどがあります。
Sometimes here has music concert or dance show and so on.

B. パネルの展示 / Panel Display

a. 宮沢賢治 / Kenji Miyazawa

宮沢賢治の作品を全部知っているわけではないけれど、
『やまなし』が一番好き！

I do not know all Kenji Miyazawa's work,
although this is my favourite, 'Yamanashi'

b. くまのプーさん / Winnie-the-Pooh

どんなに年をとっても、大好き！
Even though I am getting older, I still love it!

3) 喫茶 どんぐり / Cafe Donguri ; Cafe Acorn

The disabled who would work for general companies
are working here for now. 

4) 中庭 / Courtyard

円形の中庭がカフェに隣接しています。
There is a circlular courtyard beside the cafe.

ホールのパネル展示が見えます。
You can see the panel displays in the hall.

5) ゴジラ/ Godzilla

カフェ前にゴジラがいます。
東京現代美術館での特撮展とのコラボレーションでしょう。
宮崎駿氏の企画展も特撮展もジブリがらみですもんね！
私も両方見るつもりです。

Godzilla is in front of the Cafe.
I think it is in collaboration with 

the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo; 

TOKUSATSU (Special Effects) Exhibition.
Now here has "Hayao Miyazaki recommended 50 books
with his own handwritings Exhibition".
Both re related to Studio Ghibli. 

I would visit both.

This Godzilla Costume was used for
 "Godzilla 2000 : Millennium" in 1999.

 '館長 庵野秀明 特撮 博物館 ミニチュアで見る昭和平成の技' ; 
東京現代美術館:7月10日(火)〜10月8日(月)

を見に行きます。
