1) 旧本多家の庭 / Former Honda Clan Garden
松風閣庭園は、池泉回遊式庭園 (チセンカイユウシキテイエン) です。
'兼六園 (ケンロクエン) より古い池泉回遊式庭園 '
というのがキャッチコピーのようです。
松風閣庭園は1616年に作られ、兼六園は、1676年から作られ始められ、1860年に現在の形に近い庭になりました。
(現在の兼六園は184年もかけて作られたのですね〜）

Shofukaku Garden is a Chisen-kaiyu Style Garden which is a style dating back to ancient times with wandering ponds following the natural flow of the land.
The tagline of Shofukaku Garden is
'The chisen-kaiyu style garden older than Kenroku-en'.
Kenroku-en is one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan, other two are Kairaku-en and Kōraku-en.
Shofukaku Garden was created in 1616, and Kenroku-en was started in 1676 and was completed in 1860 to its present form.
(The current Kenroku-en was created over 184 years.)

"加賀藩の直臣は、人持組頭、人持組、平士、足軽に大別される。
人持組頭は別名を加賀八家、あるいは前田八家ともいい、いずれも
1万石以上の禄高を持ち、藩の重臣として藩政に関わった。
人持組は、時に家老などの重職に就くこともあり、高禄の者は1万石以上、少ない方では1000石程度の禄高で約70家が存在した。"

思っていたよりも、ずっと素敵な庭でした。
訪問者もほとんどいず、静かな庭を楽しめます。
野性味 (ヤセイミ) があるところが魅力です。
イングリッシュ・ガーデンはジャングルの雰囲気が残っているべきで
あると聞いたことがあります。
日本庭園のルールはわかりませんが、この庭は、ジャングルの雰囲気が残っているイングリッシュ・ガーデンに通じる良さがあると思いました。
The garden was much better than I expected.
There were few visitors and we enjoyed the quiet garden.
The appeal is that it has a wild flavour.
I've heard that an English garden should retain a jungle feel.
I don't know the rules of a Japanese garden, but I think this garden has the same appeal as an English garden that still retains the atmosphere of the jungle.

下記、松風閣について、金沢市のサイトより
"松風閣は、加賀藩前田家13代前田斉泰 (マエダ ナリヤス / 1811 - 1884) が、家臣の本多政和 (ホンダ マサハル /1813 - 1947) と輿入れする妹・寿々姫のため、天保5年（1834）に本多家上屋敷に建築した広坂御広式（御広式は藩政期に女性が居住した建物）の一部、
御対面所（対面儀礼の際に用いられた施設）が残るものです。
三度の移築を経て、明治40年（1907）より現在地に在ります。
市内に残る、唯一の加賀八家（加賀藩重臣の門閥）の屋敷地にある建物で、城下町金沢の歴史が連綿と現在に伝わることを実感させてくれる建物と言えます。
寿々姫 (スズヒメ / 1819 - 1835) については、輿入れから僅か7か月後に亡くなりました。
市内に残る、唯一の加賀八家（加賀藩重臣の門閥）の屋敷地にある建物で、城下町金沢の歴史が連綿と現在に伝わることを実感させてくれる建物と言えます。

明治期以降も本多家によって移築保存されてきたことは、藩主前田家と重臣本多家の関係性を如実に表すものと見て取れます。"

According to Kanazawa City Website about the Shoufukaku Building,
"Maeda Nariyasu, the thirteenth head of the Kaga Domain’s Maeda clan, had a building constructed on the primary residence grounds of the Honda clan in 1834.
The building, named the Hirosaka Ohiroshiki, was in commemoration of the marriage between his younger sister, Suzuhime, and the retainer Honda Masakazu.
During the feudal period, ohiroshiki were residences for women.
Shofukaku was the residence’s gotaimensho, a place used for in-person ceremonies.
It was dismantled and relocated three times, the last of which was in 1907 when it was moved to its current location.
Shufukaku is the only building within Kanazawa that was part of the residences of the eight chief retainer families of the Kaga Domain (Kaga Hakka)."

According to Kanazawa City Website about the Garden,
"Shofukaku Garden was constructed in the early-Edo period and is considered to be a stroll garden centered around a pond.
The garden’s landscaping makes use of its natural environs, such as surrounding marshland and forest.
The garden is older than Kenroken Garden, though it has undergone reconstruction in later years, and its Kasumigaike Pond predates the pond with the same name in Kenroken Garden.
The garden is located on the residence grounds formerly bestowed upon the Honda clan.

The Honda clan was the primary family of the Kaga Hakka, or the eight chief retainer families of the Kaga Domain.
