1) ランチ / Lunch

若かりし頃、このビルので仕事をしました。
現在はF社はもうここには入っていません。

When I was young I worked at this building.
F Company is no longer here now.

元町中華街 
地下街近くのインド料理店"ラジャ"によく行きました。
今も"ラジャ"はあるようですが機会が作れず行けませんでした。

China Town in Motomachi
I often went to an Indian restaurant "Raja" 
which is close to China Town.
Even now, "Raja" seems to be there,
 but I could not make an opportunity to go.

神戸は山あり、海あり...
Kobe has mountains and there is sea ...

2010年にもここでSさんとランチしました。

I had a lunch with S San in 2010, too.

元町商店街のベトナム料理の店でランチをSさんととりました。

I had a lunch with a friend, S San in a Vietnam Cuisine Restaurant 

on Motomachi Shopping Street.

今回の関西旅行は、Sさんのグループ展を見るためでした。

一昨日、すでにその展覧会へは足を運んでいましたが、Sさんと個人的に話す時間があまりなかったので、この日に再び会いました。
グループ展については下記。

This Kansai trip was to see the group exhibition of S San.

The day before yesterday I had already visited the exhibition, although we did not have time to speak personally, so we met again on this day.

Thank you for S San for making time in busy time.

ランチセットを注文しましたが撮影を仕損じました。
"フォー" の写真のみ確保できました。

We ordered lunch sets although I missed photographing.
Only "Pho" photo.

2) エビアン / Evian

ランチ後は、懐かしいカフェ・エビアンへ。

After lunch, we went to a cafe, Evian which I had missed.

1952年創業。
サイフォンでコーヒーを入れています。

Founded in 1952.
They make coffee with vacuum coffee makers.

あまり変わっていないのが嬉しい。
I am glad that the cafe has not changed so much.

エビアンは、喫煙OKなので、ときどきタバコの煙がいっぱいで
辟易しましたが、この日は大丈夫でした。

Since Evian allows smoking, sometimes the cigarette smoke is terrible 
 and I was disgusted, but this day was okay.

3) お土産 / Souvenirs

撮影はホテルでしました。

 I photographed in the hotel.

こちらはグループ展訪問のお礼のお菓子。
This sweet was thanks for visiting the group exbition.

Sさんからいただくものは辛いものから甘いものまで、いつも上品で、美味しいものばかりです。

その心遣いに感謝です。

S San's souvenirs are always elegant and delicious, from savoury to sweet.

I am thankful for that care.

京都らしいお菓子です。 / This sweet is exactly Kyoto!

味噌香 京(みやこ)お野菜クッキー

Misoka Miyako Vegetable Cookie

京都の「本田味噌本店」は、1830年、創業の老舗の味噌店です。

「本田味噌本店」が洋菓子を手がけ作ったブランドが、

Le martin de miso (ル マルタン ドゥ ミソ)。

"味噌香 京(みやこ)お野菜クッキー"は、人気商品で、本田味噌の西京味噌を使用しています。

現在、京都でなければ、買えません。

Miso is is a traditional Japanese seasoning produced by fermenting soybeans with salt and koji (the fungus Aspergillus oryzae) and sometimes rice, barley, or other ingredients.

"Honda Miso" was founded in 1830, the shop is long-established in Kyoto.

Nowadays they have made western confectioneries, its brand is  "Le martin de miso".

"Misoka Miyako Vegetable Cookie" is a popular item and uses Honda Miso's Saikyo Shiro Miso.

Currently, we can only buy in Kyoto.

⓭2017年11月27日 - 5) 関西旅行 - メリケンパーク-E: 神戸港震災メモリアルパーク / Kansai Trip - Memorial Park ;Kobe Port Earthquake Meriken Park, 27th of November, 2017

神戸海洋博物館の野外展示場として、"神戸港震災メモリアルパーク"が

設置されています。

"Kobe Port Earthquake Memorial Park" is set up 

as an outdoor exhibition hall of the Kobe Maritime Museum.

読んだり、見たりしているうちに、目がウルウル....。

住んだ町なので、複雑な思いがしました。

崩れた状態のメリケン波止場の一部を保存しています。
Here saves a part of the collapsed Meriken wharf.

While reading and watching, my eyes began to tear up...

Because I had lived in the town, I felt complicated feelings.

おまけ / Extra

近くの保育園の子供達がお散歩に来てました。
Children of a near-by nursery school came for a walk.

このベビーカーにみんな乗ってしまえるほど、小さな子達。
つばめの巣のよう....、なんともかわいらしかったです。
この子達が幸せに過ごせる神戸でありますように。

Every child can get on this stroller as they are so small.
It looked like a nest of swallows...It was very cute.
I hope Kobe will nurture these children to be happy.

1) メリケンパーク周辺 / Around Meriken Park

12月にもメリケンパークにも行ったので、そのときの写真もこのセクションに含めます。

I also went to Meriken Park in December, so I will include photos from then in this section as well.

メリケン地蔵 

2体の地蔵尊が背中合わせになっています。

1987年(神戸開港120年)に'いかり地蔵'から

メリケン地蔵に改名されました。

Meriken Jizo
Jizo (Deity) is guardian and patron deity of children.

In 1987(Kobe Port 120th Anniversary), its name changed from 

Ikari Jizo to Meriken Jizo.

高速道路下の殺風景な壁に神戸港の絵(モザイク？）を設置しています。

この道を海側へ向かうと、メリケンパーク。

The stark wall under the expressway has pictures (mosaic?) of Kobe Port.
This path along the sea side reaches Meriken Park.

2) 神戸海洋博物館 / Kobe Maritime Museum

神戸海洋博物館は、神戸開港120年周年記念事業として、1987年に開館されました。

The Kobe Maritime Museum was opened in 1987 as a commemoration project of the Kobe Port 120th Anniversary.

神戸海洋博物館 

"海・船・港" をテーマとする博物館。

神戸港のシンボルの一つになっています。

屋根が美しい〜！

 Kobe Maritime Museum

A museum with the themes of sea, ship and port.

It is one of the symbols of Kobe Port.

The roof is beautiful ~!

帆船の帆と波をイメージしたスペース・フレームの屋根
The space frame roof images waves and sail of a sailing ship.

次回は入館したいと思います。
I would like to enter next time.

The benches are in the form of boats.

今はオブジェ扱いですが、昔は使用されていました。

It is now treated as an object, but it was used in the past.

錨マークと"PORT OF KOBE"の文字と、

神戸港の開港年を表す”1868”が地面のタイルに描かれています。

Anchor Mark, "PORT OF KOBE" in letters, and
"1868" representing the year the Kobe Port opened are drawn in tiles on the ground.

クリスマスツリー プロジェクト / Christmas Tree Project

世界一のツリーを目指して

根を含む高さ30m、樹齢およそ150年の木は

"あすなろの木"と名付けられました。

Aiming for No. 1 Tree in the World

The tree is 30m height, including roots, about 150 years old, 

was named "Asunaro no Tree".

"あすなろの木"は、富山県氷見市 (ヒミシ)から、新幹線やロケット輸送に用いられる

特殊車両と大きな船を使い、その距離1000kmを経て、ここにやってきました。

"Asunaro no Tree" was brought  here from from Himi,  Torama Prefecture, 1,000 km away.

They used special vehicles normally used for transporting Shinkansen and rockets and a big ship.

神戸開港120年周年記念事業としてこのプロジェクトは実行されました。

This project was kept on from a commemoration project 
of the Kobe Port 150th Anniversary.

どのように数えたかわかりませんが、最終的に
140万人の来場者があったそうです。

I do not know how they counted,
but I heard that there were 1.4 million visitors.

なんとなく、悲しい印象を持ったのは私だけでしょうか？
Somehow, was it only me having a sad impression?

4) ポートタワー / Port Tower

ポートタワーは、1963年に神戸港中突堤  (埠頭)に建てられました。

1987年にメリケン波止場の西側の一帯が埋め立てられ作られ、メリケンパークが造成され、現在は埠頭には建っていません。

メリケンパーク内で、一番古株なんですね。

高さは108m / Height is 108m

The Kobe Port Tower was built on the middle pier in 1963.

The Western part of the Meriken Wharf was filled in and then Meriken Park was made in 1987, so nowadays the tower is not on the pier. 

It is the old‐timer in Meriken park.

世界初のパイプ構造の建造物で、双曲面構造が特徴です。

また日本で初めてライトアップされた建造物でもあります。

設計は、日建設計 [伊藤 紘一 (? -?)・仲 威雄 (ナカタケオ/ 1907- 2008)]

It is the world 's first pipe structure, characterized by a hyperbolic structure.

It is the first building that was lighted up in Japan.

Design by Nikken Sekkei Ltd.[Kouichi Ito (? -?) / Takeo Naka (1907 -2008)]
