1) スコーン / Scones 

約3ヶ月ぶりにスコーンを作りました。

9月が夫Rのお誕生日月のせいか、お菓子が我が家に集まっています。

ですが私もRのためにお菓子作りの材料を揃えていたのです。

他のお菓子と重ならないように、スコーンを作りました。

Scones

I made scones for the first time in about 3 months.

Maybe because September is my husband R's birthday month, sweets are gathering at my house.

However, I also had the ingredients for making sweets for R.

I made scones so that they wouldn't overlap with other sweets.

2種類
Rのリクエストでプレーンのスコーンと
ドライフルーツとチョコチップ入りのスコーンを作りました。

2 Types
At R's request, I made plain scones and
scones with dried fruits and chocolate chips.

食器のテーストがバラバラです。
スコーンのお皿はウェッジウッドの 'オズボーン'、
小皿は私の磁器作品です。
マグは、'ヘレフォード図'柄で
2019年ヘレフォード大聖堂で購入しました。

The taste of tableware is incoherent.

The scone plates are Wedgwood's 'Osborne', 

and the small dishes are my porcelain works.

We bought the mug with 'Hereford Mappa Mundi' pattern 

at Hereford Cathedral in 2019.

外食できないので、いろいろなものをネット注文しています。

私からRへのプレゼントもほぼネット注文で、食べるものか飲むものです。

今日は、チョコレートの他にクラフトビールも届きました。

Rは母国の英国へ1年半帰ることができません。

英国が恋しいのではと察します。

恋しい気持ちが消えるように、少なくとも緩和するように、彼を甘いものとお酒に浸しています(笑)。

彼が溺れない程度にしないとね？(笑)

Craft Beer Arrived 

Craft Beer

We can't eat out, so I order various things online.

Most of the gifts I give to R are online orders which are for eating or drinking.

Today, in addition to chocolate, craft beer arrived.

R has not returned to his home country, Britain, for a year and a half.

I feel he misses Britain.

I'm soaking him in sweets and alcohol (laugh) so that his missing would disappear, or at least reduce.

I try to do this way without drowning him. (Laugh)

箱には3種類のクラフトビールが入っていました。
ラベルの感じがスコットランドを思わせます。

The box contained three types of craft beer.
The labels reminded me of Scotland.

'ヌマズラガー'
'ヌマズラガー' を開けました。
ベルギービールを彷彿させる味に感じました。

 'Numazu Lagger'
We opened 'Numazu Lagger'.
I felt the taste was reminiscent of Belgian beer.

私の人生の中で、啄木鳥 (キツツキ) を実際の生活の中で見ることは殆どありませんでした。

鎌倉山に住むようになり、コゲラ (小啄木鳥) は、時々見かけます。

他の小鳥と同じように、コゲラは動きが早くなかなか撮影できません。

今日は、リビングの前のさくらんぼの木にコゲラが来てくれました。

コゲラのオスには赤い部分があり、メスにはありません。

撮影したコゲラには赤い部分がないのでメスデス。

逃げてしまわないように、ガラス越しに撮影しました。

Japanese Pygmy Woodpecker

In my daily life, I rarely saw woodpeckers.

After living in Kamakurayama, I sometimes see Japanese Pygmy Woodpeckers : Kogera.

Like other small birds, Kogera move quickly and it is difficult to photograph.

Today, Kogera came to the cherry tree in front of our living room.

The male Kogera has a red part, and the female does not.

There is no red part in the photographed Kogera, so it is a female one.

I photographed her through the glass so that she wouldn't run away.

Peck-Peck!
She is hitting it, peck-peck, tap-tap, knock-knock, bang-bang!
You can see how her head is shaking, right?

首を捻って食べてます。
体が柔らかいのですね〜！

Her body is flexible!

楽しいバード・ウォッチングでした。

いつもの電柱に留まっています。

 This one stays on the usual telephone pole.

2羽のトンビ

親子かカップルかはわかりませんがおそらく親子でしょう。
左が子供で右が (母)親だと思います。
逃げてしまわないように窓越しに撮影しています。
ここに20分くらい留まっていました。
これはトンビにしてはかなり長い滞在です。
雨の中を飛んで疲れたのでしょうか？

Two Black Kites

I don't know if it's a parent or a couple, 

but it's probably a parent and child.

I think the left is the child and the right is a parent (mother).

I photograph through the window so that they don't run away.

They stayed here for about 20 minutes.

This is a fairly long stay for a black kite.

Did they get tired of flying in the rain?

窓ガラス越しに撮影はしていたのですが、母鳥には撮影を気がつかれたらしく背を向けられてしまいました。

ですが首はかなり周り、後ろに気を配ります。

それって私のせいですか？

I was photographing through the window, but the mother seemed to notice my photographing and turned her back.

However, her neck is quite turned and she pays attention behind her.

Is that because of me?

嘴は確実に武器ですが、あどけなさが残る顔です。
10月頃には自立するのでしょうか？

The beak is definitely a weapon,
 but it's a face that remains innocent.
Will it be independent around October?

私と夫Rは、鎌倉駅周辺から鎌倉山へ帰ってきました。

I and my husband R came back to Kamakurayama from around Kamakura Station.

苔丸さんの写真を久しぶりに撮る気がします。
最寄りのバス停から我が家までの道に苔丸さんはあります。
小さなお店ですが、その世界では結構有名です。

I feel like taking photographs of Kokemaru 

for the first time in a while.

Kokemaru is on the road from our nearest bus stop to my house.

It's a small shop, but it's quite famous in its world.

エンジェルストランペットがシャワーのように咲いています。
Angel's Trumpets are blooming like a shower.

タマスダレ
タマスダレ (玉簾) が道路脇に広範囲に咲いています。
この写真の他の道路脇にも咲いています。
私は今まで気がつかなかったのか、今年が飛び抜けて
よく育っているのかわかりません。

White Windflower

White Windflower (Zephyranthes Candida) is in full bloom 

on the side of the road.

It is also blooming on the other side of the road

 from this photograph.

I don't know if I haven't noticed it until now or

 if this year is by far the best for growing White Windflower.

金木犀
最近、朝、シャッターを開けるときに
金木犀 (キンモクセイ) の香りがします。
ああ、秋の香り...と思います。
その香りはこの高い木からきているのだとわかりました。
毎年金木犀の香りには気がついていました。
私の認識していた金木犀はこの木の半分くらいの背丈でした。
こんなに高く育った金木犀は目線に入らず、
こんなに近くにあったことを知りませんでした。

Fragrant Olive

Recently, when I open the shutter in the morning, 

I smell the scent of Fragrant Olive (Sweet Osmanthus).

Oh, I think the scent of autumn ...

I found that the scent came from this tall tree.

I have noticed the scent of Fragrant Olive every year.

Fragrant Olives that I was aware of were 

about half the height of this tree.

This Fragrant Olive grew up so high, it is not in my sight and 

I didn't know that the tree is so close to us.

数年前はよく撮影していましたが最近はしていませんでした。

I used to photograph a few years ago, but not recently.

Rは数日前に行きましたが、私は3ヶ月ぶりに、ブックカフェ 

"惣common" へ行きました。

あの時から3ヶ月も経っていたなんて、時が経つのは早いものです！

Book Cafe "So common"

R went a few days ago, but I went to Book Cafe "So common" for the first time in 3 months.

It's been three months since then, and time has gone so fast!

 見開きの本がデザインされている暖簾です。
Noren is designed with an open book image.

According to Wiki about Noren,

"Noren (暖簾) are traditional Japanese fabric dividers hung between rooms, on walls, in doorways, or in windows. They usually have one or more vertical slits cut from the bottom to nearly the top of the fabric, allowing for easier passage or viewing.

Exterior noren are traditionally used by shops and restaurants as a means of protection from sun, wind, and dust, and for displaying a shop's name or logo."

この窓際の席に前回も今回も座りました。
We sat by this window both last time and this time.

外から / From Outside

Rはティラミスとカフェラテをいただきました。
R had tiramisu and latte.

私は、初めて、ほうじ茶ラテを飲みました。
美味しくて感動しました。
他の場所の味を知りませんが、このカフェのほうじ茶ラテのファンになりました。
エスプレッソマシーンで入れるので凝縮した味になるのだとお聞きしました。

I had a cup of Hōjicha Latte for the first time.

It was delicious and impressed me.

I don't know the taste of other places, 

but I became a fan of Hōjicha Latte in this cafe.

I heard that it has a dense taste

 because it is made by an espresso machine.

C. 『ツバキ文具店の鎌倉案内』

Kamakura Guide in 'Tsubaki Stationery Shop' 

カフェで『ツバキ文具店の鎌倉案内』を見つけ、購入しました。

この本のそばに、『ツバキ文具店』と『ツバキ文具店の鎌倉案内』のイラストレイター、しゅんしゅんさんの個展のDMが置かれていました。

しゅんしゅんさんの個展が、近くの 'YAMA Gallery 招山' (鎌倉山) で近く開催されるのです。

私はこのことをしゅんしゅんさんのHPで知っていましたがDMは持っていませんでした。

なのでここでDMも手にすることができました。

しゅんしゅんさんの個展がとっても楽しみ！

Kamakura Guide in 'Tsubaki Stationery Shop'

I found a book, " Kamakura Guide in 'Tsubaki Stationery Shop' " in the cafe and purchased it.

Beside this book, there were Invitation Cards of the Exhibition of Shun Shun, the illustrator of "Tsubaki Stationery Shop" and 

"Kamakura Guide in 'Tsubaki Stationery Shop' ".

Shun Shun's Exhibition would be held soon in 

'YAMA Gallery Shouzan' (Kamakurayama), near by.

I already knew of this Exhibition from Shun Shun's HP, but I didn't have an Invitation Card.

So I was able to get the Card here as well.

I'm really looking forward to Shun Shun Exhibition!
