現在も出版され続けています。

A picture book, "The Little House" is a 1942 book written and illustrated by
an American, Virginia Lee Burton (1909 - 1968).
In Japan, Iwanami Shoten published "Chisai Ouchi "(The Little House) [Translated : Momoko Ishii (1907 - 2008)) in 1981 as one of "Series of Iwanami no kodo no Hon (Iwanami's Books for Children)" and the picture book is still in print.

思ったよりも、おおがかりな展示にウキウキしました。
来場者が絵本の世界の中を散歩するように制作されているのでしょう。
ちょっと遊園地に居る気分になりました。
I
was excited by the large‐scale display more than I would have thought.
The
display seems to make visitors walk in the world of picture books.
I had a little feeling that I was in an amusement park. |
嬉しくなって写真もたくさん撮りました。

2) せいめいのれきし / Life Story

| 頭上には、バートンの絵本のひとつ、『せいめいのれきし』(下に説明) が デザイン化され展示され、目が奪われました。 スパイラルホールの円形の空間にあっています。 Overhead, one of the picture books by Burton, "Life Story" (see below) was designed and displayed, and my eyes were fascinated. This display suited the circular space of the Spiral Hall.  |

1962, Virginia Lee Burton, the Gloucester, Massachusetts, writer and
illustrator of “Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel,” “Katy and
the Big Snow,” and the Caldecott Award-winning “The Little
House,” among others, published her final picture book, “Life
Story,” a hardy, quiet work of genius that starts with the birth of
the sun, proceeds through fires and ferns and glaciers, and ends with
you, the reader, living your life in the present day.
“Life
Story,” a Wagnerian opera of a book with a Hansel and Gretel
aesthetic, is not as famous, somehow, as “Mike Mulligan and His
Steam Shovel” or “The Little House.”
It
can be maddeningly hard to find at average bookstores, but good ones
have it and loyal fans value it. For children, “Life Story” is
one of the first works of art or science that will attempt to explain
natural history, contextualizing the dinosaurs, those megastars of
kid-dom, in time and place among the stars and on the planet, and it
does so with a humanizing artistic realism; the final section,
fittingly and comfortingly, zooms in on life as we recognize it.
Much
of it depicts the world of a century or half-century ago, but

the way, Matsuoka Hanako is a model of a main character in a drama,

and Ann" in 2014 which was serialized in Japanese

Normally Matsuoka seems to be famous as the translator for novels by Lucy Maud Montgomery (1874 -1942) in Japan, most famous for "Anne of Green Gables", however, I haven't read any of Montgomery's works so I am only familiar with Matuoka Hanako as the translator of picture books : "Choo Choo" and others. |

Japanese translation is difficult and it seems to be available only in the English version.  私はこの本をここで初めて知りました。 I came across this book for the first time here. |
最初から終わりまで、面白く見ましたが、詳細を覚えていません...とほほ。
ただ、バートンが良き妻であり、母であり、家族に愛され、また彼女の仕事も家族に尊敬されていたのだという感想をもったことを覚えています。
The video about Burton was also shown in the screen on the wall.
I enjoyed watching it from the beginning to the end although I do not remember the details ...boohoo.
However, I remember having my impression that Burton was a good wife, mother, loved by her family, and her work was also respected by her family.
