段葛の桜を見に姉 Yと出かけたら、パレードに出会いました。

鎌倉まつりのイベントのひとつらしいけれど、既に彼らは一仕事、

終えた様子。

When I and my sister Y went out to see Cherry Blossom in Dankazura, we came across a parade. 

It was part of Kamakura Festival, although these people looked as though they had just finished. 

これも警察の仕事なんですね、
お疲れさまです。

This is part of police work, isn't it?

舞殿の通りに出ると、いろいろやって来ました。

When we got to the main Hachimanguu road, many parade groups were coming.

大きな楽器は持つだけでも大変そう！
It looked hard work just holding the big instrument.

眼鏡をかけた武士？

歩くだけでなく、何かやってほしいと思うのは
高望みでしょうか？

Samurai Wearing glasses?
Is it over-ambitious to hope that they do 
more than just wear impressive armor?

カラフルな甲冑です。

The Armour is Colourful.

中学生も参加 

Junior high school students joined the pared, too.

ダンスをしつつ進む、すごいパワー！

They dance and go forward. Great Power!

More and more still are coming.

鎌倉宮バス停の桜が咲き始めました。個展の準備で家に引きこもっている間に季節はますます春へとすすんでいるようです。

A cherry tree started to blossom at bus-stop of Kamakura-guu(gū). 
While I stayed indoors preparing for my exhibition, spring was coming more and more.

 観光シーズンに向けて修理中でしょうか？
銅板葺きの方法は、英国ではあり得ないとRが言っていました。何故なら、英国では銅はすぐに盗まれてしまうからだそうです。
日本は古くから、'盗み'にも慎みがあり、それも文化でしょうか？

Is this repairs for the tourist season?

R said it is impossible to have a copper covering in Britain, because the cooper would be stollen very quickly. 

Could I say it is part of Japanese culture that even burglars are less aggressive than outside Japan?

時々鎌倉宮では有機野菜を売っています。まだ買ったことはありません。
Sometimes they sell organic vegetables. I haven't bought any yet. 

花 / Flower

 1) 母の誕生日 / My Mother's Birthday

 先日、母の誕生日に姉夫婦とRと私から寄せ植えの花 (下の写真) を
送りました。

"yoko's garden" というネットショップにお願いしました。

私の好みからいうと、ちょっと甘すぎる感じがしますが、一人暮らしの母を潤すにはこれくらいがちょうど良いのかもしれません。

母も、とても喜んでくれました。

My Mother's Birthday

A couple of days ago, it was my mother's birthday. 

So my sister, my brother-in-law, R and me sent a planted container. 

We ordered it from  "yoko's garden"  , an  Internet shop.  

The pot (see below photograph) is a little bit sugary for me, 
although it might encourage my mother who lives alone. Actually she was very pleased. 




2) ブログの編集 / Editing My Blog 

今回から何故か、ブログのフォーマットが変わってしまい、編集方法も変わりました。

きっと新しくそして改善されたものなのでしょうが、私には使いずらいです。

もとに戻せるものなら、そうしたいです。


Editing My Blog 

I do not know why this blog's format was I do not know why this blog's format was changed suddenly from now. 

So it changed the way of editing. 

Probably the new way is improved, although I cannot use it well. 

I would prefer to be able to retune to the original format.

3月10日-打ち合わせ/ Meeting, 10th of March

1) 来訪 / Visiting

ピンポイントギャラリーのオーナーの西須さんが、雨の中、鎌倉の家まで来てくれました。

私は、これからの作品制作の方向性、ギャラリーの空間の作りを話し、決めかねていることやました。その後、それらについてのアドバイスをいただいたり、作品の選択、額のサイズや種類などのアドバイスもしていただきました。気分的に、やっとスタートラインに立てたような気がして、ちょっとほっとしました。

西須さん、ありがとうございました。

Yuki Saisu, the gallery owner visited my house in Kamakura, although it was poring. While I showed her my works, I talked about the space in the gallery and the work I planned from today. And also I explained that I had not yet decided on some details. Then she gave me advice about them. She selected some works and suggested how they might be framed.

Finally I feel I am at the starting line and I am relieved.

I think my exhibition is getting ready with the support of many people (especially my lithograph teacher) and encouragement of my family, friends and BF: R.

This is my individual exhibition, although it is helped by so many people.
