| 路地の風景 小町の住宅街の路地を歩くのが好きです。 迷路のようで、小さな冒険をしているようで、 ちょっとしたワクワク感を持てます。 路地沿いの通常の一般の家の小さな景色を見つけるのも 楽しいです。 Alley Scene I like walking through the alleys of Komachi residential areas. They're like a maze, and I feel like I'm on a little adventure, which gives me a sense of excitement. It's also fun to find little corners of normal houses along the alleys. |

バニラビーンズ / VANILLA BEANS (鎌倉店) VANILLA BEANS (鎌倉店)の建物を見ました。 私は初めて見ましたが、Rは、以前は違う建物が 建っていたと言います。 検索すると、2020年より一時休業していました。 コロナ禍のためかしら？ 建物について→★ (EMBODY DESING サイト) 最近の鎌倉では、古い建物が壊され、新しい建物になっています。 出不精の私が、たまに外出して、新しい建物を見ます。 以前、そこに何があったのか、思い出せません。 この場所もそうです。 【追記】2025年4月3日 VANILLA BEANSは、2023年に閉店し、 現在は、'クルミッ子' で、全国的に有名になった 紅谷 (ベニヤ) になっています。 建物の外観はほぼそのまま、看板だけ変わっています。 |

VANILLA BEANS (Kamakura branch) I saw the VANILLA BEANS (Kamakura branch) building. It was my first time seeing it, but R said that a different building had stood there before. When I resarched, I found out that it had been temporarily closed since 2020. Perhaps it's because of the COVID-19 pandemic? About the building →★ ('EMBODY DESING' website, in Japanese and English) Recently in Kamakura, old buildings have been demolished and replaced with new ones. I'm a stay-at-home and I sometimes go out and see new buildings. I can't remember what was there before, here also. 【Postscript】3rd of April, 2025 VANILLA BEANS closed in 2023, and is now Beniya which has become famous nationwide thanks to 'Kurumikko''. The exterior of the building is almost the same, only the sign has changed. |

| 鏑木清方記念美術館 鏑木清方記念美術館の前を素通りしました。 鎌倉に住み始めた頃、路地裏を散策していて、 偶然にこの美術館を見つけました。 初めて入った時に、素敵な美術館だと思いまし、 好きになりました。 ですが、今は、ここで開催される展覧会だけのために 外出はしません。 う〜ん、いつでも見られるという気持ちがあります。 また、何かの機会と一緒にと思っているせいかもしれません。 ですが、実際、何かのために外出しても、時間的にも精神的にも、 体力的にもここにくる余裕がありません。 Kaburagi Kiyokata Memorial Art Museum : ★ in English I just passed by the Kaburagi Kiyokata Memorial Art Museum. When I first started living in Kamakura, I was wandering the back streets and came across this museum by chance. When I first went in, I thought it was a wonderful museum and fell in love with it. But now, I don't go out just for the exhibitions held here. Well, I feel like I can see it whenever I want. Or maybe it's because I think of it as some other occasion. But in reality, even if I go out for something, I don't have the time, mental energy, or physical energy to come here. |

| 段葛 私達は、 鶴岡八幡宮を出た後、鎌倉駅に向かい、 若宮大路 (ワカミヤオオジ) の歩道を歩きました。 二の鳥居まで来て、段葛を撮影しました。 12月の15：30頃、人通りは多くありません。 新年を迎えると、 鶴岡八幡宮への初詣客で いっぱいになるでしょう。 段葛の桜も有名なので、その頃も混むことでしょう。 |
"段葛は八幡宮の参道に沿って二ノ鳥居から三ノ鳥居まで続く、周りより一段高くなった全長約450メートルの歩道です。
沿道に植えられた桜は通常3月下旬から4月中旬にかけて花を咲かせます。
桜の下にはその後に見ごろを迎えるツツジが植えられ、八幡宮の氏子崇敬者が奉納した石灯籠も並んでいます。
入り口を守るのは一対の狛犬です。
東側の狛犬は「あ」（サンスクリット語の最初の音）と言っているように口を開け、もう西側の狛犬は「うん」（サンスクリットの最後の音）と言っているように口をほとんど閉じています。
このように始まりと終わりを意味するこの二文字を組み合わせることで、万物を象徴しています。
段葛は1182年、初代鎌倉幕府将軍であり鶴岡八幡宮を創建した
源頼朝 (1147–1199) によって造られました。
頼朝は海から八幡宮へと続く参道を作るよう命じました。
このとき頼朝の妻北条政子 (1156–1225) が身ごもっており、この
造営は安産祈願として行われました。
段葛は二人の息子で後の二代目鎌倉幕府将軍、頼家 (1182–1204) の誕生に合わせて完成しました。
段葛の設計には防衛的側面があったとも言われています。
かつては両側に堀があり、幅は今も八幡宮の境内に近づくにつれ狭まっている遠近法により海からの距離が長く見えるように作られて、
敵を返り討ちにしやすくなっています。
1878年に横須賀線の線路を新たに通すため行われた一ノ鳥居と
二ノ鳥居の間の部分の撤去を含め、段葛には数百年のあいだに時代により改変が加えられました。
2016年の大規模改修では桜の植え替え、老朽化した石積みの修復、石灯籠の入れ替えなどが行われています。"

Dankazura After leaving Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, we headed for Kamakura Station and walked along the pavement of Wakamiya Ōji Street. We reached the second torii gate : Ni no Torii and I took photographs of Dankazura. At around 3:30 p.m. in December, there were not many people around. When the new year arrives, it would be filled with people making their first visit to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. The cherry blossoms at Dankazura are also famous, so it would be crowded at that time as well. |
"The Dankazura is an elevated 450-meter pedestrian pathway between the second and third torii gates on the approach to the shrine.
It is lined with cherry trees that usually bloom from late March to mid-April. Under the trees are azaleas that flower later in spring and stone lanterns donated by supporters of the shrine.
The entrance is guarded by a pair of concrete lion-dogs (komainu).
The one on the right has its mouth open, as if pronouncing “a” (the first sound of the Sanskrit syllabary), while the other statue seems to be speaking the syllable “un” (the last sound in Sanskrit) with its mouth nearly closed.
This combination of letters, the beginning and the end, represents the sum of all things.
The Dankazura was originally built in 1182 by Minamoto no Yoritomo (1147–1199), the first Kamakura shogun and founder of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu.
He ordered the construction of a paved road along the entire length of the main approach to the shrine from the sea.
The project was undertaken to pray for the safe delivery of an heir, as Yoritomo’s wife Hojo Masako (1156–1225) was pregnant at the time.
It was completed in time for the birth of their son, Yoriie (1182–1204), who would become the second Kamakura shogun.
The design may have also served a defensive purpose: the path once had moats on both sides and appears to become narrower as it approaches the shrine grounds, thereby making it easier to repel an enemy attack.
The Dankazura has undergone repeated changes over the centuries, including removal of the portion between the First Torii and Second Torii gates in 1878 to make room for the tracks of the new Yokosuka Railway Line.
Repairs completed in 2016 included replanting the cherry trees, restoring damaged masonry, and replacing the stone lanterns."
