この項は、前回の金沢市役所のセクションよりも、前に撮影した写真を載せています。

野田屋茶屋店で一休みした後、  歩いて市役所へ向かうまでの街角の風景です。

複数の場所に金沢城の惣構(ソウガマエ)の案内板が

ありました。

その1つが、'21世紀ロード柿木畠三角公園' の

お隣にありました。

'惣構 (ソウガマエ)' という言葉を今回の金沢旅行で知りました。

惣構は、城の機能的構成部分 (内郭/ナイカク) から、さらにもう一重外側 (外郭/ガイカク) に堀や石垣、土塁で囲い込んだ防御線です。

金沢城外には、東西の内外計4本の惣構堀 (ソウガマエボリ) が掘られていました。

I found the word 'Sougamae : Enclosed Moats' during my trip to Kanazawa.

'Sougamae' is a defensive line that surrounds the castle's functional constituent parts (inner hull) with moats, stone walls, and earthworks to the outside (outer hull).

Outside Kanazawa Castle, a total of four Sogamae-bori moats were dug on the east and west sides of the castle.

❶ East Inner 'Sougamae'

'西内惣構' については、次の尾山神社のセクションに
詳細を載せています。
尾山神社前の水路は、'西内惣構'の一部でした。

❷ West Inner 'Sougamae'
The 'West Inner Sougamae' will be detailed
 in the next section of Oyama Shrine.
The waterway in front of Oyama Shrine was part of
the 'West Inner Sougamae' 

❸ East Outer 'Sougamae'

Yamazakiyama in Kenroku-en Garden is part of the outer wall 

of the Sougamae, and the pond on the south side is

 a remnant of the water moat.

金沢市役所後、尾山神社へ向かいました。

After Kanazawa City Hall, we headed to Oyama Shrine.
